Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Bare Vitamins Skin Rever Upper
rated 3 of 5

For a basic moisturizer for those with oily/breakout prone skin, this is an ok option. It has a decent amount of salicylic acid which helps calm redness and breakouts as well as glycolic acid that helps to exfoliate the skin. It's light weight enough not to make skin feel greasy and slick and can be worn under foundation as a primer.

Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash
rated 4 of 5

Zoom Lash is not for the demure that wants an everyday lash. It has an initial wet application and gives very fast long lashes. Clumping is minimal though. It does give awesome, false lash effects that are dark and dramatic if that's your style.

Treatments -Joico - K-Pak Color Restorative Styling Oil
rated 5 of 5

PROS: provides moisture, but not a greasy feeling absorbs into dry hair quickly smells good usually in a bundle with the other Kpak products CONS: for those with oily hair, might be a little too heavy I usually use this after I color my hair and wash it. This oil is light weight and soaks into hair and makes it feel hydrated and healthy. Never had any issues with it feeling heavy or greasy and I do have finer hair.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Awapuhi Shampoo
rated 2 of 5

I am usually a big fan of PM but this one was a dud for me. PROS: lathers nice smells good great for oily hair CONS: irritated my scalp stripped color (although the bottle and formula claim to be color safe I actually ended up using the liter of it I purchased as a body wash rather than shampoo because it started to dry my scalp out and strip my hair color which did not make me happy. I'll stick to my Joico Kpak

Concealers -MAC - Pro Longwear concealer
rated 5 of 5
justcallmed 7/9/2011 8:50:00 AM

PROS: amazing coverage. true-er shades than their other concealers I feel the staying power is unmatched. CONS: The stupid pump! Always ends up with more than you need being pumped out other than the pump bottle, this is my HG concealer. I use it around my mouth/nose were I tend to be a little more red and under my eyes where I get red/puffy and it totally smooths it out.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Kabuki Face Brush
rated 5 of 5

This is a very soft, dense brush that's great for applying loose powders, bronzers, or blush. I use it daily with MAC's prep and prime translucent powder and I also get a very even coverage.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
rated 4 of 5

This is going to be a good option for those with oily skin, period. Yes even though people may claim that the original formula may not dry you out it doesn't matter; powder is always going to be absorbent by nature. It gives a medium to full coverage depending on two things; the amount used and the brush used. A small amount with a fluffy brush gives a sheer finish while using a quarter size with a dense brush gives a full coverage. I've been using Fair in matte formula and have been happy with it not finishing cakey or looking like shit two hours later on my oily skin.

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil
rated 4 of 5
justcallmed 5/24/2011 8:02:00 PM

This is a good, lightweight powder for those with oily skin that do not break out. Be warned that anything with corn starch can actually feed the bacteria that causes acne and make it worse. With mineral veil, it does help to conceal some pores, lines and shine but less is more.

Styling Products -Joico - Joico K-Pac hair styling spray
rated 5 of 5
justcallmed 3/21/2011 8:17:00 PM

Never crispy or over stiff and it smells great. It gives my fine hair lift but without flaking off and feeling heavy. I usually just spray at the roots to get some texture and lift there and that way I can choose if I want to spray all over or not. Got my mom hooked on it too! The price is very reasonable too and it lives up to it's claims without charging an arm and a leg.

Treatments -Joico - k-pak deep penetrating reconstructor
rated 5 of 5

Awesome stuff. I've used A LOT of masks in my hair to try and get it just a little healthy feeling. From Aveda, Redken, Alterna, nothing seemed to actually get my hair feeling healthy after the abuse I put it through. Then I tried this. It's light weight enough that you can get it through your whole head of hair, but sinks in deeply and leaves moisture you can feel without a greasy feeling after. My hair is fine but with lots of it and this has never weighed it down and has helped it bounce back to life after bleaching, stripping, dying, cutting, etc...I will always keep this in my rotation.

Treatments -Rodial - Glamoxy Snake Serum

Can you say SNAKE OIL?! Hoax hoax hoax written all over it. Even if this DID live up to it's claims it would be awful for skin because skin receiving oxygen is a BAD THING because it creates free radical damage!

Love it. I love that it gives me moisture without feeling greasy and always revives my brittle and damaged hair. I have been using the shampoo too and feel like the two really pack a huge punch when it comes to giving hair it's vitality and bounce back.

Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
rated 5 of 5
justcallmed 2/5/2011 9:47:00 AM

As someone that has jumped around for years trying to find a shampoo that won't weigh my hair down but still give me hydration and repair my dead locks, I've tried pretty much everything. After debating, I finally tried K Pak. I am in LOVE. K Pak is light weight enough for my hair (which is fine but I have a lot of it) but leaves it feeling very healthy and not dried to shit. The price is reasonable (for a salon brand, Joico makes honest claims, and doesn't charge an obscene amount for their products I feel). Anyone like me who is always experimenting with their hair be that, bleaching, coloring or anything of the like should try this out.

My HG shampoo. I love the gentle cleanse I get, the lather and the smell of it. I love that it doesn't leave my hair dry or feeling worse off and that a little will go a very long way.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Shampoo Two
rated 5 of 5
justcallmed 11/30/2010 4:20:00 PM

Shampoo 2 kicks ass at cleaning deeply without feeling like straw after.I use this maybe once or twice a week to degunk my hair after using all the product I do. It has a super slight and fresh lemon scent and lathers up well and rinses clean. A must for people that do use a lot of product.
