Skincare - Face -Beyond Belief - Gentle Skin Cleanser

My absolute favourite cleanser. Its sort of a foaming cream that smells really yummy and orangey. You only need a small amount to clean all the makeup & dirt off your face. I do agree with the reviewer before me that a pump dispenser would be much for convenient, but for the price I can definitely live with a tube. Before I moved I bought 7 tubes of these but now I'm running out! Bye-bye HG :(

Pressed Powders -Boots - No7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder

My first boots product! I purchased this last week in translucent and I am quite impressed. Usually translucent powders go ashey on my tan skin but not this one It applies on smoothly over foundation or coverup, eliminating excess shine but still leaving a natural finish. It also has diffusers in it that subtly even my skintone. I do think it is a bit pricey though, hence the 4 stars. But all in all, this is a great product that lives up to all its claims.

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Brushes-General

Japonesque makes some amazing brushes indeed. I own both the powder brush and concealer brush. The bristles are sooo soft and apply makeup very smoothly. I never have problems with streaking or caking. And this price isn't too painful either.

Eyeliner -Prestige - Kohl Eyeliner

This is an amazing product for its price. I bought the black and it applies oh so smoothly. It goes on a true, deep black, none of that ashey grey business here. The smudger on the other end is also a nice touch. True, the liner can smudge easily but only if something physically touches it... I've had no problem with the actual staying power.

I never heard of this stuff before I moved to Europe but now I'm in love! It's very creamy and moisturizing and lasts quite awhile. Another huge plus for not having any scent. I buy packs of these and keep one in my purse, cosmetics case, everywhere.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Mascara
rated 4 of 5
jgorog 10/26/2007 11:49:00 AM

Although I personally prefer more natural looking eyelashes, this is quite a good mascara. The primer & mascara really work well together to make my eyelashes very long & thick. It clumps a little too much though, I don't like having to spend so much time combing them out. As others before me have said, if you like the false eyelash look, you'll absolutely love this.

Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder

I used this powder for a long time, thinking I really liked it. It's great that there are so many shades to choose from. The packaging is really clever, the powder is fine & applies very smoothly. It took me awhile to realize that this was causing clusters of red bumps on my forehead and cheeks. Too bad, now it's taking ages to clear up. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone even slighty acne-prone.

Liquid -Bourjois - Repulpant Reboosting Collagen Foundation
rated 2 of 5

I really wanted to like this. The plastic pump bottle is hygenic & convenient. The colour choices are very natural and I never had problems with this grabbing onto flakes. However, It felt a bit heavy and, by the end of the day, had turned into a oil slick on top of my skin. Eventually, it ended up breaking me out as well. Too bad, maybe I'll try 10hr sleep effect next.

Bronzers -Clinique - True Bronze shimmering tones- Peach Bronze
rated 4 of 5

This such a gorgeous product. It has shades in peach, bronze, and pink. It really makes my skin look really glowy when I use it as blush. It can get really orangey if I over-do it. A light hand is a must with this. Sadly, I found that this breaks me out, so I only use it now and again.

Blush -Becca - Beach Tint in Watermelon
rated 4 of 5
jgorog 9/18/2007 2:17:00 PM

This is a pink cream blush in a little black tube. It was quite expensive for the amount. It is very easy to blend and lasts until the end of the day. Unfortunately, this shade is far too cool to use on my cheeks. It makes me look clown-ish :( But I am continuing to use it on my lips, which looks quite natural.

Treatments -Nuxe - Creme Nirvanesque (for all skin types)
rated 5 of 5

I have oily acne-prone skin that's dehyrated underneath and it's really hard to find a product that provides ample moisturization without making me greasy. When I first tried this, I was so amazed at how it just sunk into my skin and made it feel soo soft. 3 weeks later it still has the same effect and my skin is so much smoother and clearer. The pricetag is definitely worth it for this one.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 3 of 5

I wasn't a huge fan of this. What I did like was that it does have great coverage and you get a huge amount of product. But it just feels really heavy and has a tendency to turn orange by the end of the day. It's also very good at grabbing onto flakes & making them look really obvious.

Loose Powders -Becca - Fine Loose Finishing Powder
rated 2 of 5
jgorog 8/28/2007 8:31:00 AM

This is my favourite loose powder. It's very fine and seems to melt right into my skin. I use it in wheat and it's never caused any breakouts or anything. I get oil breakthrough with this but I'm fine with it cuz I'm used to blotting. It's really expensive though and the packaging annoys me. It makes such a mess and really wastes a lot of powder. EDIT: I don't know what happened but this doesn't seem to cut it anymore. I had to stop using this and switched to whatever d/s brand powder until my brother went to visit the states. When he came back with a new package, I was really disappointed with the way it applied. It looks really cakey and doesn't even diminish the initial oilyness I have in the morning. What a waste.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Blushing Bride
rated 4 of 5
jgorog 8/28/2007 8:26:00 AM

Gah, I love this stuff! I use it every single day. It's such a natural, rosy colour that makes you look like you're glowing from within. It is a tad sticky and shiny but a light swipe of powder takes care of this. And I wouldn't say this expensive at all considering the huge amount of product you're getting. Definitely recommended.

Blush -The Body Shop - Cheek Colour - 03 Heather Pink
rated 4 of 5
jgorog 8/28/2007 8:19:00 AM

I am really liking this blush. The colour is a dusty pink.. very natural looking. I've used it on friends as well and it works on their complexions too. It comes in a little tube and doesn't feel sticky or greasy at all. The lasting power pretty good, I can still see colour on my cheeks by the end of the day. It is pretty pricey though for such a tiny tube.
