Masks -Unlisted Brand - Egg White Mask for Acne Skin

Yep, I'm hooked! I use the whole egg though, i find it less harsh. My skin is combination/oily and i also add a tablespoon of honey. The results are AMAZING. Clear, bright skin with reduced pores. The only thing i hate is the applying part. Since it's very very runny I end up splashing my face with the mix until i have enough of it on my face....But hey, who cares, it's cheap, it's natural and it WORKS!!!

Masks -Montagne Jeunesse - Masks

I love the fabric masks. I got the vitamin C and the Tea tree masks. They are AWESOME. They cleanse, purify, and give a great glow to the skin. I love them....I'm actually stocking them up because at one pharmacy they told me they dont sell them anymore so i got scared and bouth 20 of them =) The price is good if you consider 2$ a week, it's more expensive than masks in tubes because for 10$ you can get a facial mask with 20 or 30 uses but hey, they're so efficient that I dont care. The only negative thing with the fabric mask is that it takes a few tries to get it flat on your face with no wrinkles, and the sensation is not super great. But that NOTHING if you considere the resultat.

Masks -Marcelle - Clay Mask with Kaolin
rated 3 of 5

I like this mask, i use it weekly as part of my skincare regimen. It cleans and soften well. I have an oily T-zone and it does make it better but doesn't last very long. My next-morning makeup holds better, but the day after it's back to normal. I find the texture to be very diluated, I'm used to thick clay consistency (like a paste) and I find this to be very watery and the layer is very transparent even if you apply generously. The smell is kind of neutral. Let's say it's a good mask, but it does do miracles. For a WOW effect i use the Montagne jeunesse ones!!!

Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Solfine Reverse CremaColor
rated 5 of 5
icarle 12/7/2011 10:54:00 AM

I don't know if you can buy the brand Solfine in the US. You can in Canada. Basically it's a color remover/stripper, much like Oops. OI bought it for 16$. My hair was colored (at home and salon) dark brown with little or no red undertones. I was skeptical because the products says it removes any unwanted artificial color without removing original pigmentation (in short, not a bleach). The first step is a color-like cream you leave on for 20 minutes with a shower cap on (it comes with it) and the second is a reverse/toning cream that's very very runny and smells like peroxide (which I think it is) that you leave for 5 minutes. Results: my hair is now a pretty medium reddish-brown, my hair is not dry and there are no patches of dark colors, it's very even. They said that for dark colors you should apply twice, so I rinse off the first time and re-apply, but i dont know if that made a difference. Overall, I am very happy.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Professional The One Sweep Eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5
icarle 11/29/2011 10:20:00 AM

I am reviewing the one for green eyes. I dont understand the concept of one sweep since working with eyeshadow means WORKING with eyeshadow to create the smoky effect, i dont expect ANY product to sweep effortlessly on my eyelid and create the perfect smoky eye. That being said, i use the shadows as a trio, with my regular brush and they are awesome. The pigmentation is intense, does not crease, stays all day even throughout the evening. I love the iridescent gray (the middle one) it is beautiful. I love the weird brush that comes with it to use under the eyebrow. Hahaha i dont understand the concept but i love the shadows and colors.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara
rated 4 of 5
icarle 11/23/2011 9:36:00 AM

I'm always on the hunt for a good mascara. The best that I had is Hypnotic (Lancôme) but when I am on a budget I have to browse through drugstore brands such as l'Oreal or Covergirl. I tried so many i dont seem to remember which ones were bad or good. So i tried this one, because I liked the thick brush and promise of volume. It is very good! Not a 5 because it could be a bit more dramatic, but it delivers well in terms of volume, separation and intensity. What i like most is that its not wet at all! Like all new mascara they can be a bit gooey at first. Overall, i like it.

Skincare - Body -Nelson's Homeopathic Products - BACH Rescue Cream
rated 5 of 5
icarle 5/16/2011 9:20:00 AM

I use this as a night cream whenever my skin is tired and lifeless. It is AMAZING. After two or three uses, my skin is radiant, glowing, more even... I never though in a million years that I could use this as a face cream....But here it is. It's waaaaay better than any other product on the market.

Liquid -Avene - Fluid foundation corrector
rated 5 of 5
icarle 4/27/2011 9:33:00 AM

This by far the best fluid foundation i've ever used. And I've tried many many many, drugstore brands and high-end ones too. After moisturinzing and priming i use a tiny bit amount (a pea-size drop) and blend it with my fingers. After that i just dab a bit of powder on my T-zone to tame the shine. And VOILA!! Great great product. I tried other ones but i keep coming back to this one.

Moisturizers -Lise Watier - Hydra Smart 3D
rated 5 of 5
icarle 4/27/2011 9:28:00 AM

I got the gift set with the cleanser and moisturizer. This is BY FAR the best of all the moisturizers I have ever tried, and I've tried my share, from high-end to drugstore brands... My skin is dry on the cheeks and oily on the T-Zone. I live in Canada and rough winters take a toll on my skin. When spring comes, I need a heavy duty moisturizer yet light enough to not shine an hour after getting ready.... This is HG. It was recommanded to me by a friend who's a cosmetician and man oh man she was right. It's a must. Efficient, lightweight, great great great.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Superstay lipcolor
rated 4 of 5
icarle 4/19/2011 1:08:00 PM

Great great lipstick. Got the Keep up the flame shade (I loooove dramatic reds) and it works wonders. REAAAALLY great staying power (you have to literally remove it at night....it does NOT fade out) and the color is gorgeous. I'm just wondering: the lip color tube seems awfully small. I know you dont need touch-ups but does it last long, if you use it everyday? If anyone knows, feel free to let me know. I took off a lippie because it dries out the lips, and it is VERY hard to remove.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm - Gothic
rated 4 of 5
icarle 4/15/2011 3:51:00 PM

Beore buying the Revlon lip stain I had the cover girl one, but they dont have a dramatic red. It's exactly the same lip stain but with a lip balm. Not a big fan of the duo, it actually makes the stain greasier and it stays less. But used alone, it is great. Color is great and intense, and staying power is okay (same as Covergirl) Will buy again.

Masks -St. Ives - Mineral Clay Firming Masque
rated 5 of 5
icarle 3/21/2011 11:10:00 AM

Good one. Cheap, effective for oily T-Zone, overall a great product to have on your beauty shelf. I still prefer mixing my own clay powder with yogurt and water, but it does the trick when you want a ready-made mask. I do it twice a week but my skin is combo/oily. If you have a very very oily skin, do it every other might as a treatment, you'll see the difference.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30
rated 4 of 5
icarle 3/21/2011 11:07:00 AM

I have the SPF 45 version but the formula is the same. I wanted something a little more protective seeing that my skin is fragile and I am close to my 30s now so I need to be careful. First of all, I always liked Neutrogena daily moisturizers, but there are way too many to choose from! I took this one because of the SPF... It moisturizes very very well. Not too greasy, not too light, texture is pleasant, no perfume, so far so good. My skin is very uneven due to harsh winter + makeup + lack of sleep etc etc so I need something strong yet not too heavy. I took off a lippie because even with primer and powder foundation, my skin becomes shiny after a couple of hours. But I figure you can't have it all. So I'll stick with that one for now.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
rated 5 of 5
icarle 3/19/2011 7:59:00 PM

I am an eyeliner girl. It's my first time with a gel liner. I already know how to draw a perfect line so getting the hang of it wasn't an issue. Pros: true lasting power. watery/pencil liners get erased at the inner corner after a few hours. it CANNOT happen with fluidline. It's very black, and there is a lot in a jar even if you use eyeliner on a daily basis. The price alone is okay, but... Cons: I had to buy the 20$ + angled brush to go with it, because I don't have a good one. So it's expensive, the product and the brush = 40$...hum hello?? And also, it's hard to remove, but you can't have erverything!!!
