Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Lip Color - Italian Rose

This looks like Dolce Vita by Nars, and it is a much better version! It is moisturising, not too sheer and has a healthy but not too bright colour. I was looking for a perk me up colour that was not too obvious. This is very nice indeed.
Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Luminous Moisturizing Foundation

I agree wutg the poor reviews on MUA. I have very pale skin and it is dry. 90% of the foundations on the market are too dry and/or too dark. When I discovered this product I was soooo happy. It is not perfect (the lasting power is not great, it disappears after few hours and the coverage is non -existent), but the colour is perfect (porcelain) and it does not dry out my skin. It is easy to blend with fingers and leaves my skin happy. It does not look cakey AT ALL. I do not need too much cover, but I do not like tinted moisturises (I find them useless). I would prefer a pump and the packaging is not the best (it is not easy to get the right amount of product). This product looks very natural. It does not have SPF and smells odd (luckily the smell disapperas quickly). However, it is lighter than a TM: on the useless sideafter a couple of hours. Overall I am happy with this foundation as it does the trick: right colour, right texture and not ridicolously expensive. Much better than Chanel (the colours are horrible and the product is overpriced) and GA (far too expensive for what you get) and the texture is perfect for my dry skin. No SPF? I use a day cream with SPF in it. In the evening I do not need SPF anyway. I would recommend this foundation to pal gals with dry skin.
Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Nutritious Bio-Protein Moisture Complex

This cream has just arrived in the UK. Am I impressed? No. It is an average moisturiser with no SPF whatsoever. Nice smell and consistency (gel like, very fresh, not too watery). I did not notice any improvement in the radiance of my skin. The lack of SPF means I use it mainly at night with ANR. I prefer Day Wear, my HG cream. Nutritious is not bad, just nothing special. What I like about EL is that they have recently launched products in the range of £30/35 instead of the crazy and overpriced creams they have launched in the previous years (total hype and unjustified price tags). Would I recommend this cream? No. Get Day Wear, it is much better. Such a shame they pack it in a jar and not in a tube. ++ Edit: I returned the product as it did not do anything for me. Daywear is sooooo much better. it was originally advertised for Asian skins, Now, magicaly, it is suitable for everyone! call it marketing rubbish??
Lipstick -Bobbi Brown - Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15
ibrusat 2/17/2011 12:11:00 PM
I bought the treatment lip shine in desert rose. It is a decent and wearable dusty rose. I like the moisturising effect and the fact that it is not greasy or heavy. The moisturusing effect lasts 10 minutes, though. Sleek packaging, quite expensive for 2g of product - £17.50! The SPF 15 makes it suitable for the weekend when hiking or playing golf. Decent all rounder, just too expensive (£13/14 would be more reasonable for the price and the questionable quality). Nars velvet gloss lip pencil is chaper and ssssooooo much better than this lipstick.
Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Brick - Nectar
ibrusat 2/13/2011 12:20:00 PM
Lovely colour that makes me look healthy .. and like a disco ball!. I apply calipso coral underneath and the brick on top. It gives a nice glow. it is very unnatural on NC15 complexions. Not recommended. i gave it to my sister who is NC40/45. Get Becca illuminator instead.
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Copper Cocoa Shimmer Wash
ibrusat 2/13/2011 12:17:00 PM
Awful shade. I used it by itself and with Black Plum in the evening for a more ooommppp look. It does not last, makes me look like I have been punced in the eyes. Awful. Revlon is chaper and much better.
Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)

This product is very good yet not amazing A little bit hard to find in the UK (I "import" it from France via an internet website). Whether you use waterproof make up or light make up this does a decent he job, regardless. 500 ml will last you forever. I do not rave about it. it is good, reasonable price for 500 ml but not outstanding.
Excellent product. I use it by itself for a polished "office day look" (with a little bit of eye pencil), during the weekend by itself for a more casual look (great also if you play golf as it does not move) and as a base if I want a more dramatic evening look. The colour is not bland (a warm brown with slight shimmer - no glitter). It does not crease, lasts all day and it is very easy to apply (I use a Mac 217). It lasts ages and, compared to other brands, it is very affordable. A pot lasts me about 8 months (with heavy use).
This book is excellent. The pictures are stunning and the explanations Rae provides are simple and easy to follow. The book contains plenty of useful advice (for example how to create your cream eyeshadow, do not use primer + moisturiser, etc). The section on the best colour of eye shadow for your eye colour is very comprehensive. The looks are not boring and are totally wearable. There is something for everyone: classic, more mature, asian, women of colour, more quirky. The price is very affordable, just over £11 on Amazon. Highly recommended.
Nice blush if you are very pale (NC15 max NC20). it goes on very light, can be intensified and does not look chalkey. In the pan looks reeeeaaallyy pale but when applied it has a healthy peachy/pink flush. it is like GA sheer blush in n 2, but butter quality (lasts about half day) and at a fraction of the price (and NARS is not cheap). It is completely mat (no disco diva effect). I pair it with Chihuahua lip gloss. ** EDIT: i discovered Nectar shimmer block by Bobbi Brown and it is much better than Nars in Sex Appeal.
Inexpensive body cream and very effective. It delivers the same results ot Kihel's creme de corp at a fraction of the price. It comes in a 500ml bottle with a pump and costs about £7.00 (Boots runs special offers very often and you can get it even for less). It is easy to apply and is not sticky. it sinks into the skin. No nasty parfume (it may have a strange scent when you first rub it in, but it quickly disappears). It leaves my body moisturised for 24 hours and my skin super smooth. And I have super dry skin. Really excellent product!
Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks - Calypso Coral
ibrusat 1/13/2011 12:14:00 PM
Very pretty colour, it is not too orange. It is easy to blend and is not sticky. The price (£17) is reasonable. It does not last all day and I have to retouch it. However, it looks natural and not made up. It is the best colour in the range for my NC15 complexion.
I am surprised by the poor reviews on this product. I have very dry skin and pale complexion. I struggle to find the right colour, not to say the colour + a moisturising foundation! This has resolved the issue. It is very light (just a tad more than a TM), but it leaves my skin really happy. It does not last all day and has a strange smell (hence 4 lippies) but it does the job. I have never found a foundation that lasts all day (and I cannot use long lasting as they are not for dry skins!), the cpolour in porcelain is right for me and along with Calipso Coral on my cheecks it does the trick.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Oilatum Natural Face Repair Cream
ibrusat 1/10/2011 3:51:00 PM
You pay for what you get. It is very sticky and does not moisturise my dry skin as well as other brands. It sits on the surface of my skin and leaves a shiny film. I usually use Estee Lauder Day Wear, which is soooooo much better. It does not contain SPF and I prefer to use it at night and put ANR serum underneath. IMO this is over rated.
Ridicolous price for a shampoo, I bought it as my hairdresser was offering 30% off on B&B products. It does the job and leaves my hair shiny and "moisturised". Nothing special that justifies the ridicolous price tag. And I cannot stand the smell, sort of overpowering flowerish, eeekkk. I prefer the mending line to the quenching line.
