This is just TOO 1980's, and way too strong. It almost smells masculine to me. I don't see it as a feminine fragrance at all, and that's usually what I lean towards. When I smell this on others, I still don't enjoy this scent. If you like strong and spicy fragrances, you may like this one. Most people I know don't like this scent either.

Although the packaging is so pretty, and I really like the pretty pink color, the scent is another story. It's the average perfume scent nowadays. It's nothing special, but at least it isn't offensive. It goes on VERY strong (I misted myself at the store, and it took about 30 minutes for the harshness to go away), and I didn't end up liking it anyway. It's a fruity floral scent that's pretty, but not unique. I'm not into weird/unique scents, but I do like scents that have something more special to them than the usual scents out there. It smells a lot like Lauren Style to me. It suffocated me a bit, and made my head feel heavy. Overall, I give it two lippies because I like the packaging and it isn't something that I'd think "yuck" to if someone else wore it around me.

This smelled like a cleanser to me. It's not an appalling scent, but it doesn't smell like a perfume to me. It's nothing that really grabs the attention and makes you think "mmm, that smells so nice!"....well, that's just what I think.

Fragrances -Donna Karan - Be Delicious

Just tried this out! I am a big fan of green apple, and this definitely fits the bill. It starts off with a great, crisp green apple scent, but wears down to a more melony scent, with faint green apple. I can smell a hint of floral in it too. It smelled great on my skin, and I'll be wearing the sample I got and seeing if it is worth buying. The staying power seems pretty good, which is always a plus for me since most EDP's and EDT's evaporate so quickly on my skin. The packaging is so different, but very cute. It's shaped like an apple, and you push down on the top of the "apple" to spray it. Very original! I used to be in such a huge heavy floral craze, and it looks like I'm back to my more fresh-fruity scents again. Odd! I don't think this scent would offend anyone. Hopefully I'll update my review soon, and we'll see if I went out and bought it. :) UPDATE 10-8-04: After wearing this for a day, I realized that it gives me a WHOPPING headache! I was fine this morning, and when I sprayed it on, I was miserable with a headache at work. I felt better by noon, but reapplied after lunch (to see if that was the reason), and sure enough, the whopper headache was back. :( It's too bad because I liked this scent. I'll keep it at 3 lippies because I still do like the scent, but won't be able to wear it.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Curious by Britney Spears
rated 4 of 5
happygirl1234 10/7/2004 11:03:00 PM

The first time I sprayed this on, I thought it smelled very cheap. But as the day went on, I kept getting whiffs of it, and even though I can't say I really like it yet, I don't mind it at all. It's kind of a pleasant scent to smell, and I enjoyed the "whiffs" I got from it. I think the Britney Spears association is what kills it for many people. I tried to pretend it was a different brand, and you know what? It's not that bad. For some reason, this scent lasts FOREVER on me! Just a tiny mist of it, and it lasts for hours and hours. (That is odd for me, because most eau de parfum's last about 2 hours on me, max----Not sure if this is EDP or EDT). Anyway, give this a try without thinking about who it's by. The bottle is definitely one of its strong points. It's gorgeous! It is definitely growing on me. If I end up buying it, I'll come back and give it four stars. :) UPDATE 10-9-04: I bought this today after trying out the testers at the mall every time I went there. Each time, I liked it even more. It's so different from everything that's out there, in my opinion. It's very sensual, pretty, yet innocent and girly at the same time. Not sure if it'll be my SS from now on, but we'll see. :) EDIT: Not my signature scent, but I still like to use when I'm in the mood for it!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Pleasures Body Splash in Peony
rated 2 of 5
happygirl1234 10/7/2004 2:06:00 AM

I agree with elle8, the previous reviewer. I liked the scent at the store enough to buy a body splash. I brought it home and now I can't stand it! It's way too floral and soapy, and not in a way I like. I don't think it's anything that will get that many compliments....well, at least not on me.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Herve Leger
rated 3 of 5
happygirl1234 10/7/2004 2:01:00 AM

This is one of THE most prettiest scents I've ever smelled. I was at Nordstrom's today, and the bottle is what drew me to it. It is such a simple, yet unique bottle. The eau de parfum is light purple in color. I was hoping it would smell nice only because I liked the bottle, and to my surprise, I absolutely adored it! It smells amazing on my skin, and I can't really describe the scent. I'm sure there's a slight bit of vanilla in there, mixed with light florals and maybe a hint of powder? I'm obviously not educated about describing fragrances, but I recommend that you give this one a try and see if it works with your chemistry. If it does, and you like soft floral-vanilla type scents, I think you may like this one. It's very mysterious, feminine, sensual, and just plain pretty. The sales associate was so kind to make two samples for me, so I'm going to try it out for a few days and see if I continue to like it as much as I do now. EDITED 10-8-04: AAH! What was I thinking? I tried it on the other day, and I felt sick all day long from the scent. It's truly disgusting. I have no idea what made me like this so much at the time? Maybe it was the entire smell of the fragrance counter, or maybe the bottle spray went on lighter than dabbing it on from a sample vial. I honestly felt like I was going to lose my lunch with this scent. I'll cut it down to 2 lippies, and not one, only because it's a pretty bottle and I USED to like the scent for some odd reason. EDIT 12/17/04: Okay, I like it again! What is wrong with my nose?! I keep changing my mind! :) Anyway, I wouldn't purchase this, but I do have a small Nordstrom sample of it that I'll use from time to time. Very soft, hint of vanilla, tiniest hint of powder. Definitely have to go easy on the sprays with this one. Although it's light, it CAN be overapplied.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar body splash
rated 2 of 5
happygirl1234 10/6/2004 9:37:00 PM

I asked a lady at work today what perfume she was wearing, and she said it was a lotion. She said it's called "vanilla sugar". I automatically thought of B&BW's warm vanilla sugar, so after work I stopped by at the mall and sure enough, that's what it was! I bought myself the body splash and I like it so much. It smells very feminine, and isn't the typical vanilla smell you get from other vanilla-based fragrances/splashes. It doesn't smell like you've just sprayed yourself with a typical vanilla scent, but it actually smells sophisticated, like an eau de parfum, but without the lasting power. I don't think anyone would think you're wearing a B&BW body splash if you wear this! I'm surprised I like this one so much. Even though it's a body splash, it has lasted pretty long on me. It's been an hour, and I still distinctly smell it. EDIT: YUCK! I wore this for one day at work, and I felt sick to my stomach the entire day! I think this is why I ended up disliking Herve Leger when I used to love it before. I used this body splash and a bit of the Herve Leger on the same day, and woah! OVERLOAD! Not a good idea. B&BW was kind enough to return it for me. I give it two lippies because I do like smelling the lotion on others sometimes, but wouldn't ever wear it myself. B&BW body splashes smell different from their lotions, and I recommend the lotions because the splashes have a weird alcohol-y scent to them.

Fragrance -Estee Lauder - Pleasures For Men

Too bad my boyfriend doesn't wear cologne, but if he did, I LOVE this scent. It's so masculine and very 'attractive' if you know what I mean!

Fragrances -Banana Republic Beauty - Classic for women
rated 3 of 5
happygirl1234 9/27/2004 10:17:00 PM

This is also another clean scent by BR, but it turned too sweet on my skin. It also does NOT last long at all. It seems similar to W, but sweeter and with more of a musk scent to it. I tried it on today, along with W, but chose W since it smelled cleaner on me, and not so sweet like Classic. This one is also $12.50 for a small bottle, and the sales rep told me that Classic is a unisex scent. Judging by the way it smelled on me, I just can not see a man wearing this! I like how BR scents are so soft and pleasing. You won't suffocate or disturb anyone by wearing this.

Fragrances -Banana Republic Beauty - W Eau de Parfum
rated 4 of 5
happygirl1234 9/27/2004 10:13:00 PM

I just bought this today, after spritzing some on while walking around the store. I sprayed Classic on one wrist and W on the other. The Classic turned very sweet on me, but the W only got better! It is definitely a very clean scent. I think it's a great scent for the work place or school, and I actually plan on giving it a whirl at work myself. I'm not great at explaining scents, but to me it smells like a light scent of soap, citrus, and a touch of floral. It's very pretty and I can't see it bothering anyone around you. I paid $12.50 for the small bottle of the eau de parfum. The bottle is very cute, simple, and classy!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Moonlight Path Body Splash
rated 4 of 5
happygirl1234 9/26/2004 1:44:00 PM

I absolutely loved this stuff for the first week, and my boyfriend (very, very picky and hates all other scents I've tried and worn) loved it even more than I did. Something though, made me feel repulsed after a week or so, and I just can't wear it anymore without feeling sick to my stomach. My boyfriend is so upset about it..lol. EDIT 12/17/04: I bought the lotion instead, and I really like it! I will not buy body splashes anymore. They smell weird and alcohol-y and make me sick after awhile. This is MUCH better! My BF is happy I'm back to this scent again!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Rice Flower and Shea

This smells incredibly wonderful! It's so warm, light, but it lingers so well. I love spritzing some on after showers. I just read some reviews that said they are going to discontinue this?! WHY?! I don't understand why B&BW discontinues scents that so many people love.

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - Blue for Women
rated 1 of 5
happygirl1234 9/26/2004 1:24:00 PM

I really wanted to like this one, but no matter how many times I spray some on at the store, it stinks something horrible on me! It literally makes me gag, and I don't even have a sensitive stomach. It smells NASTY on my skin, and I'm sure it's just the fact that my body chemistry doesn't go well with it.

I just sprayed on some of a sample spray given to my when I bought RL Romance. I don't know yet if I like it or not. I know I don't hate it though. At first spray, it smelled exactly like men's cologne, so I freaked out! I have no idea what it smells like, but whenever I get a whiff of it, I kind of like it. We'll see how it goes, and hopefully I'll update this review later. :) EDIT 12/17/04: No, I didn't end up loving this enough to buy it. It's not as feminine as I like.
