Polishes -L'Oreal - mystery

Mystery is a polish that is apart of Loreals fall 2011 collection. It's a deep dark teal with an extremely suble sheen. The formula is good and I like brush is was a good width; not as thin as Essie but not as thick as OPI. In natural light it looks black. This color is a tealer version of Suzi Ski's in the Pyrenees.

Polishes -L'Oreal - devotion

L'Oreal Devotion is limited for the fall 2011 color of hope collection. I paid 4.99 for the polish at my local Rite Aid. The color is in the taupe family with a little putty thrown in. I'm really impressed by the brush. It's a square shape and very pliable but not floppy. The formula is also excellent smooth and good flowing. It dries darker than in the bottle. Maybelline should take a note from L'Oreal when making their nail polishes.

Polishes -Essie - Lady Like

Unfortunately this color is limited edition. Lady like appeared with Essie's fall 2011 collection Brand New Bag. This color is a soft, dusty, milky rose. It's gorgeous. The color applied smooth and two coats was all I used. Essie did another great job with their fall collection.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - love and beauty natural

This is a polish from forever 21 love and beauty brand. The color is a beautiful warm peach with multi color fine shimmer that's extremely subtle. The polish is easy to apply and I used 3 coats. I can't wait to wear this polish when I'm a little lighter. NC55 for reference.

Polishes -Essie - Case Study

Essie Case Study is a limited edition color for Essie fall 2011. Case study is very beigey camel and I swear I see a hint of puke green. It's beautiful really the formula was a little thick and it was almost a one coater. I have a love hate relationship with Essie's brush for my nails it's too thin. However for some with narrow nails it's going to be perfect. Im NC55 cool toned and this looks great on me.

This is limited edition color that's apart of the OPI fall collection Touring America. This color on my NC55 skintone is a standard cool grey I have several like it.This one is also midtone almost a greyed out grey. The formula is great very smooth I only needed two coats.

Polishes -OPI - Color So Hot It Berns

This color came out with the Swiss collection for fall 2010. This color is a gorgeous blue red that is almost pin up like. The consistency is great I've had my bottle for a year and it's still smooth and easy to apply. I'm NC55 for reference.

Polishes -Maybelline - natural beauty

Natural beauty is one of the nail polishes that is apart of Maybellines fall 2011 collection. I didn't realize until I got the polish home that it is a 98% dupe for OPI's San-Tan Tonio from their spring 2011 Texas collection. I say 98% because some nail affacianadoes will find something different but for all intents and purposes their dupes. Natural beauty is midtone tan cream. The formula is passable. Not really much to say it's great transition color from summer to fall or from winter to spring. If you have many tan creams then this might not appeal to you but I can never have enough of this color family.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - strut it suede

Strut it suede is apart of Maybellines fall 2011 collection. You get four colors. Only 3/4 colors have shimmer. The shimmer colors are reddish bronze a mulch colored brown and light shimmery taupe. The matte color is a warm peach. On my skintone the peach is a little chalky but not bad. For me this would be neutral if the colors didn't have the amount of shimmer.

Even thought the packaging is flimsy the colors are beautiful. This quad is apart of Maybellines fall 2011 collection. You get four moderately shimmery shades a beautiful muted bronzey gold, a silver, turquoise, and navy blue. The silver in this quad is not a high impact as the silver in makeover mocha. All four shade are soft and easy to apply and blend. If you see this quad pick it up it's great.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - mocha makeover

This eyeshadow quad is apart of Maybellines fall 2011 edition collection. The packaging is a little flimsy and feels light and cheap but thats ok. Mocha makeover has four colors a moderately shimmery warm vanilla, a warm matte peach, a medium matte brown and shimmer packed silver. The first three colors are really nothing special however the silver is amazingly beautiful. It's also highly pigmented and I am around NC55. The texture of the shadows are soft and easy to apply and blend. Grab these if you see them. I gave it a 4 because only the silver is really appealing.

Blush -Maybelline - pressworthy pink

This blush is a part of Maybelline's limited edition fall 2011 collection and is also a dupe for Chanels blush pink explosion. Pressworthy pink is a soft moderately shimmery pink. It's almost cotton candy pink on my NC55 skintone. The blush is firm but it swatches soft and pigment holds together unlike Milani's baked blushes. This color is great and it would probably look better on NC45 and lighter just depends on how brave you are with light shimmery pinks.

Blush -Maybelline - ravishing rouge

I knew I needed these when I found out they were dead on dupes for Chanel blushes. This blush is limited edition for Maybellines fall 2011 collection. Ravishing Rouge is a dome shaped blush that has a very soft texture but is not powdery like Milani's baked blushes. The color is a deep brick red with a very subtle sheen. You really need to be under bright lights to see this sheen. This blush is a dupe for Chanels limited edition rouge. If you find this blush pick it, it's a beautiful color . I compared this to Milani's Red Vino. The two are very different on my NC55 skintone red vino looked almost pink when next to ravashing rogue. Ravishing rouge is so much deeper and richer than red vino. For ha ha's I compared it Mac's love rush. Love rush is more muted, sheerer and has more of a pinky brown base.

Eye Shadow -MAC - colorizations double feature 3

These colorizations are limited edition. Double feature 3 two matte shades one being a minty green and a deep taupey brown. Both shades require some patting and packing on as they are matte. However the colors are gorgeous and I would of never thought to put these shades together.

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Under My Trench Coat

NC55 for reference. This color is an acquired taste. The co lor is a mushroomy grey scale with subtle shimmer. The formula is excellent as all Sephora OPI polishes. This color in my opinion is a great transition color for summer/fall. I'm not quite ready to wear my new colors from the fall collection yet I'm tired of my bold brights from summer. This color for me is a happy medium bold and strange but muted.
