I am completely in love with this eyeliner. My eyes are hazel, leaning a bit more towards green. I never thought that a royal blue liner would look good on me. From a distance, you almost can't even tell that this is blue, it looks almost black. I like that it's unexpected and fun but doesn't look over the top. I usually wear this with a nude lid or with a medium brown which turns it more navy and looks very nice. This lasts all day, even on my super oily lids and it doesn't fade or flake at all. I am very glad that I purchased this and if mine ever runs out or dries up I will absolutely repurchase it. This is one of my favorite liners EVER.
The brown is absolutely gorgeous, the purple is pretty too but doesn't show up as well as I'd expected. These blend together to a point where I can't really distinguish them from one another, they just sort of look brown/gray. For the price, I really expected these to have lasting power. By the time I finish my commute to work these crease. My MAC shadows last at least until after lunch to start that. I've been disappointed by NARS eyeshadows in the past and this just continues the trend. For the price I expected a lot more. I will be returning this and I would not repurchase it.
Oh my goodness. This is one of the most gorgeous blue polishes I have ever seen. I love foiled polish because it just looks like it's glowing and this is such a vibrant electric blue that it intensifies the effect even more. Two coats made this opaque and it went on with the usual OPI smoothness. This does show up slightly lighter blue on the nail than it is in the bottle. This is a very welcome addition to my (too large) blue polish collection. GORGEOUS.
Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Pointed Eyeliner brush

I am absolutely floored at how much I love this brush. When I first saw it I thought there was NO possible way it would be a good eyeliner brush but I was intrigued by it because it's so unique. I picked it up thinking if nothing else I could use it as a fine pencil brush/smudge brush. Ladies, this is THE BEST brush I have ever used for gel liner. It makes a perfect, smooth, even line with no effort at all. I am terrible at gel liner and most days don't use it (even though I have tons of them) because it takes me forever to get the lines even and looking good. With this brush it takes me less than a minute for both eyes. Seriously. I am going to get a backup because I don't know what I'd do without this brush. For $5 what have you got to lose? HG.
So after reading all the reviews on this shade I decided that I had to have it. I agree that it is a good shadow for a Lustre. I don't get any fallout and it's very well pigmented. I like this as a LIGHT wash. If I pack it on, it goes orange on me (NW20 for reference) which I don't like at all. However, a light wash gives the brown/bronze/gold color that everyone raves about. I don't think that I would purchase it again because I'm not blown away by it.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
fustyluggz 8/16/2011 7:18:00 PM
I've tried a lot of primers and have had very little success (UDPP, Paint Pots, Palladio, Behind the Scenes, NARS, etc). This is the ONLY primer that works for my super oily lids. With this on, I can get ~6 hours out of my shadows with little to no creasing whereas with the others I get maybe 2-3 hours. It's easy to get just the right amount with the squeeze tube and it's much more hygienic than the kinds that have the doe foot applicators. It doesn't cause my eyelids to dry out and get irritated like UDPP did. I've just finished up my 2nd tube of this and will be purchasing another ASAP. The only complaint that I have is after a while the you'll get oils that come out of the tube. This has only ever happened to me near the very end of a tube though. I absolutely love this stuff, it's is my HG primer.
I have a slight obsession with blue nail polish. This is quite possibly the most gorgeous blue shade I've ever seen - not just in a polish but in general. It's got that lit-from-within quality, it's an electric, eye-catching and just stunningly beautiful sapphire blue. This shade really needs to be seen in person to capture how beautiful it is, pictures really don't do it justice. I think a lot of Essie shades are very plain and this is a bit out of the box for them but, honestly, if this is how they do out of the box then they should do it more often. This polish is very pigmented, two coats make your nails look just like what's in the bottle. Wear time is decent with a top coat, I get about 4-5 days. This is just a really great edgy, chic color for us blue polish loving girls.
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Peaceful
fustyluggz 8/11/2011 7:41:00 PM
I have 4 of these blushes (Peaceful, Amused, Blissful, Exposed) and I love all of them. I'm NW20 and they're all quite natural looking on my skin. This is the only one of the 4 that has shimmer. It reminds me a bit of NARS Orgasm only more peach (imo). This also seems to be the most pigmented of the bunch, which is saying something because they're all very pigmented. I have extremely oily skin and I find that these last somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 hours on my skin and the impressive thing is that they look good the entire time. After trying these Tarte blushes, all of my others have become obsolete. I really, really love these. I don't believe that this color is available outside of a set, though I purchased mine alone from eBay.
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Amused

I have to be honest, this blush scares the crap out of me in the pan. I'm not one to wear bright pink blushes, I lean towards peachy or mauve colors. This, however, is gorgeous. I'm NW20 and it being a blue-based pink I find that it's a pink I can actually wear! It looks very fresh and pretty. It's SO pigmented that a little goes a long way but it's very blendable. It's matte which I like because I am just not a big fan of shimmery blushes. These last a good 7+ hours on my oily skin, which is pretty amazing. I have 4 of these in (Blissful, Exposed, Amused, Peaceful) and can't wait to get more. LOVE these.
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed Tarte Blush

This is easily one of my favorite and most-used blushes. It's nothing special in the package but once on, it's a gorgeous and very natural looking mauve/rose type color. I'm NW20 and don't find it to be too orange or muddy on my skin and love that it's matte, I'm just not a fan of shimmery blushes. I am quite oily and these last for a good 7 hours on my skin. I'm not sure if they last the entire 12 but on me, even 7 hours is a feat. I have 4 of these blushes (Blissful, Exposed, Amused, Peaceful) and want even more. They're so pigmented and easy to use. LOVE.
I'm fairly new to Tarte products but I have been seriously impressed with the products that I have tried, including this. My lashes are average. There are a good amount of them but they're not very long or very thick and they don't curl on their own. I'm also impatient so if I have to use more than one coat of a mascara, if I have to use a lash comb, if I have to do too much with a curler... then I just won't use that mascara. This mascara blows away every other one that I've tried. Seriously. One coat gives me thick, dark lashes that touch my eyebrows. It doesn't smudge on me, it doesn't flake on me, it doesn't leave my lashes stiff, crunchy or clumpy. The size of the brush is perfect, the packaging is adorable, it's made from natural ingredients... I mean, this stuff is just great. I will purchase this again and again and intend to try out a lot more Tarte products because I think I've found my new favorite brand.
I wish I had purchased this ages ago when I read everyone stating that it's the perfect brow powder for brunettes. They were all absolutely right and I've wasted a lot of money in the interim. Most products pull too red on my skin and look unnatural or are too light/dark. This ashen brown is extremely natural looking and a pot will last ages. I'm very, very happy with this and will absolutely re-purchase.
I am completely obsessed with this scent. I have a bottle of the cream lotion at work, another at home, a travel body spray in my gym bag and the mini body butter to keep in my purse. I've always loved sweet scents and this is certainly sweet but not overly so. It's got a gorgeous berry note to it that really makes it unique. The smell lasts a very long time on the skin. I really hope that B&BW keeps this scent for a long time to come. LOVE.
I saw this polish on several blogs and quickly became obsessed. I have never owned a Chanel nail polish before so I was nervous about spending so much on it. I'm very glad that I did though because I was pretty impressed with the formula. It's thin enough that it doesn't get goopy and disgusting but it's not so thin that it is streaky or doesn't cover. It's completely opaque with just two coats. In the three days that I've had it on I've worked out, done a lot of typing and various other things. I've not had a single chip or flake and there's only minimal tip wear (I used Out The Door as my top coat). The color of this polish is, of course, what will draw anyone to it. It manages to be silver, pewter and gold all at the same time. It's foiled and glittery and mesmerizing. In the sunlight the tiny gold sparkles really come to life and I just can't stop staring at my nails. I expected the finish to be rough due to the large amounts of shimmer but it's very smooth and just really lovely in texture. I am very, very pleased with this polish and now will gladly consider Chanel polishes into my future purchases.
I have a confession. A few years ago, I had never worn or owned a blush. I now have a collection that includes many MAC blushes, some NARS blushes, etc. None of them compare to this blush. My skin is very oily and every other blush I have just slides off my skin as the day goes on. This blush stays put for 7+ hours and looks GOOD all day! I can't even believe it. The color is a very pretty but natural matte peachy pink which is my favorite tone on my NW20 skin. I'm SO excited I can't wait to go out and get other colors. Love, love, LOVE.
