Lipstick -Maybelline - Moisture Extreme in Chestnut
fihe 3/1/2011 11:40:00 AM
I'm not so sure of how to describe the color of this lipstick, but I'd say it's a brownish-nude with a hint of pink. just like the other Moisture Extreme lipsticks, this one is very moisturizing but not really creamy; more like satiny. this is a versatile color I can see myself using all year long. UPDATE 04/13/12: I've come to not really like this color on me, therefore, I lowered the rating from a 5 to a 3! it looks really 90s on me, and would probably look much better on someone with different coloring. oh well, the formula is still great.
Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil in Pure Gold
fihe 2/15/2011 3:09:00 PM
I got this instead of the Gold pencil because it was brighter in color. bad idea. while the formula of this pencil is good, I find that it looks orange on my skin. for someone with warm coloring and medium or deep skin this would be good, but on my neutral-toned fair skin, it did not work that well.
Great summer nail polish! I love Milani's nail polishes and this one is no exception. it's a super cute tropical hot pink. I would give it 5 lippies but it's a bit too thick, and therefore can get messy.

I was looking for a nice bright tropical orange for summer, and this is it! it reminds me of the islands and delicious fruits. the price is pretty low (no more than $2, iirc) and the quality is pretty good. I love it!
Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Brucci Nail Hardener in Sparkle & Spice
fihe 2/12/2011 6:55:00 AM
love this color! I'm not too sure how to describe it, but I think it looks like Christmas wrapping paper. I guess you could say it's a metallic medium red. even though Brucci nail polishes are only $2-3, they stay on well and come in great colors!
Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Pro - Steel Grey
fihe 2/12/2011 6:52:00 AM
I love this color even though I wouldn't call it "steel grey". I'd say it's more of a purplish-grey. I love this nail polish in particular because the brush makes it easy to get a nice wide coat on your nails. sadly, I cannot currently find my bottle. I think my friend has it because she likes it a lot too :P
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Bioluxe Volumizing Conditioner
fihe 2/12/2011 6:42:00 AM
like the matching shampoo, this costs $10, but I got them both together on sale. that I gave 5 lippies, but this one I give only 4. the reason for that is because even though this conditioner is moisturizing enough for my hair, I feel like it doesn't feel creamy enough in my hands, which to me is weird o_O but I guess as long as it works well, that doesn't matter too much.
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Bioluxe Volumizing Shampoo
fihe 2/12/2011 6:40:00 AM
this shampoo costs $10 at CVS (the only place that sells this), which is more than what I'm used to paying for shampoo, but I decided to try it when it was on sale. it's wonderful! more so than other volumizing shampoos I've used, this one really makes my hair big and FABULOUS once I've added my styling products and blowdried it. another plus is that it seems to have pretty natural ingredients compared to some other brands. (cough cough Herbal Essences)
so after checking out the Natural Eye palette at Sephora, I decided I needed to get these two shades because they were my favorites in the palette. I'm mostly a drugstore makeup user, so I was blown away by these! not only is the texture so soft and blendable, but the colors are well pigmented and look absolutely beautiful. UPDATE 05/25/12: I actually swapped this away quite a while ago. I lowered my rating from a 5 to a 3, because even though the quality of these shadows is excellent, I found the gold color to be too warm on me. even though people with darker/warmer skin may like this gold shade, I don't think many people appreciate the chunks of glitter in the brown shade. they were annoying, lol.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP shocking Shadow Pigment In Striving
fihe 2/12/2011 6:27:00 AM
I bought this when it was 75% off at CVS. I thought it would be nice for doing a "mermaid eye" that I like to do every so often. it's a lovely bluish-green shade with a hint of grey. while it is quite pigmented and all, I don't care too much for the consistency. I feel like it's a bit...gritty? chunky? also, each jar has 1.5 grams of product and costs $12 at CVS. MAC pigments contain 4.5 grams of product and cost $19.50, so the L'oréal costs almost twice as much per ounce! therefore, I would only buy it if it were on a good sale. still, I gave it 4 lippies.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Pink Me Up
fihe 2/12/2011 6:12:00 AM
Great lipstick! I'm not sure how I would describe the color other than that it's a medium pink. I find that it is moisturizing and gives good color. like with some of my other lipsticks, I like to match it to a particular shirt I own O_O
this was my first Orly nail polish and unfortunately, it was not good :( I like the easy-grip cap, and the pretty light purple creme shade, but the formula SUCKS. I remember the first time I used this stuff, I got sheet marks on my fingers the next morning even though I had done my nails hours before going to bed. also, it chips a lot even with topcoat. good thing I swapped it away.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
fihe 2/11/2011 4:46:00 AM
HAAAAATEEEEE THIS STUFF. maybe it's just because I have thin hair, but this shampoo makes my roots SOOOO FLAT. I decided to experiment with this and the matching conditioner against another shampoo and conditioner, using the same styling products and blowdrying my hair the same way with both. the other shampoo made my hair nice and big just how I like it. with this, my hair was big except for my roots, which were totally flat and just felt really oily. I think it's the dimethicone in this shampoo that makes my hair so flat. I ought to throw it away...

I totally hate the LTR shampoo, but the conditioner I guess is pretty good. it's definitely moisturizing, but if you have fine hair, I would not recommend it because it will weigh down your hair. I wouldn't buy it again though. -_-
Gels/Soaps -Yardley - Natural Oatmeal & Almond Moisturizing Soap
fihe 1/22/2011 6:34:00 PM
I'm a sucker for anything almond scented, so I certainly love the smell of this soap. however, I don't understand how it can be considered "moisturizing". it makes my skin so dry and slippery and just uncomfortable. I give this soap a 3 for the scent, price, and availability, but it MUST be used with lotion afterwards, and I don't want to be required to take that extra step. I'll stick with Dove and Caress.
