Cleansers -Yon-Ka - Lait Nettoyant

Wow, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this product sooner, as I've been using it for years. I love the fragrance, it doesn't dry out my skin, and removes dirt and makeup well. It's very convenient as I even use it to take off eye makeup (including waterproof mascara); it's that gentle and won't sting. After cleansing, my skin feels clean, moisturized and smooth. It's a bit hard to find, but I've just located a salon within a reasonable distance (20 miles) that carries the full line so I never have to be without!

Concealers -Cle de Peau - Concealer - ochre
cutiepatootie 7/26/2003 1:17:00 PM
The other two reviewers were right on. This product is amazing! It is truly worth every penny, if you have dark undereye circles or almost anything else you want to cover, without drying, cracking, settling into fine lines, etc. It glides on like a breeze, turning to a silky powder upon application. I apply it directly from the stick like the instructions said, and pat/blend it with my middle and ring finger. I use it on several other spots on my face, an old acne scar, broken capillary, etc. and it covers them well. If it ever (which is almost never) looks like it's settling into my undereye lines, I just smooth it out with a concealor brush, or my finger, and it's fine again. It's my HG concealer, and I'm just sorry I didn't find it sooner, but water under bridge. A bit hard to find but now that I know my color I can order online. Will definitely buy again and again.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Comodynes Oats Makeup Remover Towels (Sensitive and Dry Skin)
cutiepatootie 6/22/2003 6:27:00 PM
These are fantastic! I heard about them here on MUA (of course) and next time I was at Trader Joes I picked up a pack. I have dry, sensitive skin and these are made for just that... there are other similar products out there but they all leave me with a dry, taught feeling. Comodynes do not. They remove face makeup well, even wp mascara and don't sting my eyes! Leave my skin feeling cleansed, fresh and rather moisturized. I leave these on my nightstand for when I'm too lazy or tired to take it off properly. Very convenient; these will become a staple for me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bamboom Paint
cutiepatootie 6/17/2003 4:08:00 AM
Love this product, hate the packaging. I mean, what's up with this inconvenient, wasteful little tube? That aside, this is a wonderful bronze eye shadow + base that I hate to hide under shadows, even though it works magic on them! Never creases, goes on beautifully, color stays throughout the day. I purchased this during my Aquadisiac makeover and it seems as if it's something I've always had and used. Will definitely always keep a stock of this. A+

Lip Gloss -Stila - Grapefruit Lip Glaze
cutiepatootie 6/17/2003 1:42:00 AM
This shade is a MLB..... [the same] on me. I do like the soft pink glossy shine, but it's soooo soft, it hardly shows. At first the taste/scent was OK, but after a couple of minutes it tasted like plastic and I had to wipe it off. I do like some of the Stila lipglazes, but they are way too pricey for the amt. of product you get. I gave this 3 lippies because while it's pretty, it's not unique enough to warrant the steep price tag and plastic aftertaste.

Lotions/ Creams -Bare Escentuals - Escentuals conditioner for the body
cutiepatootie 6/15/2003 4:18:00 PM
I gave this 5 lippies because it really does deserve it. The lotion is very thick and emollient which is perfect for my desert-like dry skin. That being said, I'll address the fragrance - it's what everyone has said, complicated, changing, floral and tropical yet creamy vanilla at the same time. I love the scent - now. I loved it when I first purchased it. But it is a large bottle, and about half way through I got sick of the scent. I put it away for about a year. Then I discovered it under my sink, tried it out again, and Wow! I'm in love again. I actually use it over their 5-blend body oil and I'm finally moisturized. Will repurchase, but wouldn't layer it with the fragrance of the same name, it'd just be too much.

Lotions/ Creams -Bare Escentuals - Legs For Days Aloe Vera Shimmer
cutiepatootie 6/15/2003 4:11:00 PM
This is a very nice shimmering lotion for legs (but since I'm a rebel, I use it on my arms too!) that adds a subtle sheen. Not over the top, and not as dark as in the bottle or when you squeeze it onto your hand. I like to use it after freshly (self) tanned skin, when wearing a dress or skirt.

Lip Gloss -MAC - GHETTO limited edition Australian exclusive lipglass
cutiepatootie 6/15/2003 3:41:00 PM
When I first tried this, I thought OK, very sheer, not as pigmented as I thought, kinda MLB [a little bit] B, I like it, but I have other MLBB products I like just as much. Then I tried it over NARS Dolce Vita, which is another MLBB, and VAVOOM! MLB [so much] B! I fell in love. Gorgeous! Lovely! Romantic! I could see it with a darker somewhat smokey eye for a romantic dinner. In candlelight. Let's all write to MAC and insist they bring it to the states, and not as LE. Along with everyone else who wrote reviews on this, I LOVE this product. They should've named this UpTown, not Ghetto! A very lovely Aussie MUAer cp'd this for me, and I am ever grateful.

Lipstick -MAC - Frost - Tropical Resort
cutiepatootie 6/12/2003 8:55:00 PM
This is a perfect shade of milk chocolate brown w/ a tiny hint of red. I really don't notice any frost to speak of, but it's definitely not flat (or matte!). Looks good on it's own, but since I rarely leave well enough alone, I layer on MAC gold charm for a touch of golden shimmer. Line w/MAC Spice (or WnW 712). I've used this as my 'neutral' lip w/ both Aquadisiac and Pink Venus eyes and received compliments. *Very* nice.

Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Heated eyelash curler
cutiepatootie 6/1/2003 3:57:00 PM
I do like this, although I'm still getting the 'hang' of it. I have to remember to allow time for it as it does take [me] longer - about 3-4 x as long as a regular curler, but the curl seems to stay in better. 15 seconds to heat up (which is nothing) but then I have to keep going over my eyelashes several times, etc. which is the part that takes time. I do like it for curling those strays that seem to fall below my regular eyelash curler and stick straight down. I'll keep my Shu handy, but I'm glad I tried this and would recommend it to someone who doesn't want to try (or gets pinched by) traditional eyelash curlers. B+

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Soleil

Gorgeous! I waited and waited for this to appear, and I'm glad I didn't lose interest. It really looks like a bit of golden sunshine on your lips. Highly recommended; I will probably buy another tube for backup.

Lip Gloss -Becca - Colada Glossy Lip Tint
cutiepatootie 5/30/2003 1:28:00 AM
This is my first Becca lipgloss and I'm very impressed. As was already said, it looks rosey mauve in the tube but looks much different on, much more beautiful. It's actually a pinkish-peach with beautiful gold flashes. It is fairly thick and somewhat sticky, which I like because it stays and doesn't seem to travel as easily as other glosses into the lines around my mouth. It has a *very* slight lipsticky flavor, and I usually forgo products with this, but here it is so slight it doesn't seem to bother me. I would definitely repurchase, and am looking forward to more Becca lipglosses.

Lotions/ Creams -Thymes Limited - Goldleaf
cutiepatootie 5/28/2003 11:44:00 PM
I have loved this fragrance for a long time but just admired it from afar. I recently found travel size bottles of the shower gel and body creme, so I purchased them - I just adore this scent! The products are heavily fragranced so a little goes a long way. I am considering getting the fragrance, but I'm not sure if I actually *need* it because I can just dab a bit of body creme on to refresh the smell. But then again, what does need have to do with it?! I will be buying more of this line, definitely.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - EyeLiner Pencil #658
cutiepatootie 5/25/2003 1:15:00 AM
This shimmery, silvery-blue eyeliner (think slate blue with personality) is so gorgeous I can't believe I stumbled upon it. I'd been looking for something like this and had looked at higher end lines, but didn't want to shell out 'real' money for a look I might not wear very often. But I actually wear this more than I thought I would, on my lower lash line, usually to match a color in my blouse. Will buy again, I picked up one for my sister, and the price point can't be beat! A+

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - EyeLiner Pencil #654A

Wow, for a 99¢ eyeliner I'm impressed. The color is kind of a forest green, I like to wear just a touch undereye with MAC Vex as e/s. Sure it's not very soft and smooth, but warm it up in your hand a bit and it will go on smoother. Will definitely buy again, and I'm tellin' all my friends!
