Bronzers -Bare Escentuals - Soft Focus Warmth
coutureisqueen 3/25/2007 2:35:00 PM
I got a sample of this with a swap. It really is a lot more natural looking and glowy than the regular warmth(I had swapped mine away). I won't be buying the full size just because by the time I use up the sample I'll probably be bored (yes, I am that fickle!) but I really like the glowy, natural way this turned out. I did this on a Sunday which is my laidback day so I skipped over my orange, peach, pink, red, etc. blushes and tried this. Anyways, here's a pic of it on my cheeks:

Blush -Cargo - Molokai
coutureisqueen 3/23/2007 12:09:00 AM
Wow ! I'm really impressed by this blush! From it's description I thought it'd be way more bright in the pan, but upon getting it its a very light, muted, peachy-pink-beige. Well, I was doubtful it'd even show up on my nc40 skin. It did, and it's beautiful! I have so many peach blushes right now i dont knwo what to do, but this is the perfect median between peach & pink! how I would describe this is PEACHYPINK! it doesnt make a "statement" on its own, but boy does it do that contouring job. and it just makes me feel streamlined and gorgeous. and any blush is worth keeping if it makes you feel great. thank you cargo! the first cargo blush that i have bought and liked! (didn't like prague or mallorca or polynesia)

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:15:00 PM
I don't like the texture, it's so slick and not sticky at all that it always seems to slip into my mouth and it tastes disgusting. Also I think the SL's kind of numb my lips. I can't disagree that this color is pretty though. A nude pink. I'm not in love with the SL's like some others are. I wouldn't repurchase but I will keep mine for now...FOR NOW. who knows what i'll end up doing with it. I have a kind of aversion to putting it on..my body just tells me no! We'll see.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss - Toast to Shine [DISCONTINUED]
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:14:00 PM
I saw nothing special about this, and it kind of gave me a headache/numb lips. The texture is so slippery and not sticky at all that it got into my mouth after I put it on and it tasted sick. I put it on my swap list after trying it once or twice. I just don't like it.

Blush -Shu Uemura - P Orange 53
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:12:00 PM

Okay, so this blush is gorgeous. When I took it out of my m/u bag to reapply during the day, every girl around me was like "oooh, that's pretty, what is it?" or "ohhhhh, can i try?". It does look bright orange, but still so appealing and shimmery. It definitely does have shimmer, so if you're looking for matte this isn't the blush for you. it goes on just a pure pop of orangey peach, which can be blended out for more peachiness or layered on for more oranginess-very flexible blush. I think this would look weird on PPP's though, because it definitely is very bright. On warm-toned, darker gals, it is gorgeous. I am NC40, for reference, warm-toned. Oh, but a note about the packaing, I dont know what happened, maybe I just got a bad one, but mine has chipped twice since I got it. Once just from being moved aroudn in my train case, and the other a huge chip from being in my makeup bag. I'm really saddened. Gorgeous blush though.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Eye Shadow - Grey 6
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:10:00 PM
A pretty way to spice up your daily neutral eye-I normally do mine with browns, and this taupe color with grey undertones is a slightly different but still subtle way to do it (and I am the definition of subtle neutral eyeshadow-no blues, greens, pinks, or purples for me!). I dislike the packaging. I also dislike the texture-it always crumbles when I run my brush around in it. I'll keep mine though because you can never have enough gorgeous neutrals!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Rascal #936
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:08:00 PM
I remember seeing this at CVS a month before I bought it and I couldn't get it out of my mind. On one side, it's a babydoll pink, resembling the color of CARGO blush in Catalina or The Big Easy. the other is a medium dark grey. The colors look absolutely gorgeous together-take a moment to visualize it! it's very dramatic in a subtle way. Like other HiP shadows, it's very pigmented, and has that annoying bulky packaging with the unnecessary tiny mirror on the bottom-who would use that itty bitty thing? we all have compacts, duh! Anyways, I really like this duo. I don't know if I'll wear it that often because I'm pretty eyeshadow shy-I have tons of brownish goldish shimmery neutrals, and it takes a lot of courage for me to wear pink on my eyes. I did try it once though and it looked awesome but I don't know if I'm brave for that everyday! I'm surprised this hasn't gotten rave reviews because IMO it is gorgeous. However, it is a little hard to find-I've only seen it at that first CVS and then at a Walgreens 20 minutes away from me. If you see it, pick it up because it's worth a try!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - #507A-Lava
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 11:02:00 PM
It's a pretty brownish color, but I think it has red undertones, not peach. in my bathroom it looks nude but once in sunlight you can see that it is browner. it really is extremely creamy and soft, and pretty long-lasting, provided you slick a gloss on top. I like mine enough that I wouldn't ever throw it into a swap as an extra, but I'm not going to wear it every day.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Birthday Suit
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 10:59:00 PM
This is a gorgeous nude color-but oh God, that smell! it gives me nausea and a headache. when I smell it in the tube it seems alright, kind of spicey and nice, but once on my lips it's horrible. I dont know if i'll keep mine, i have to see if I can find a gloss scented enough that it can cover the smell. It's a shame because this is a gorgeous color. *EDIT* the smell was a one time bothering thing for me, I'm over it and barely detect it now. I love this lippie, it makes me feel so sexy to slick it on, with its nude color and name! Not drying at all, which I LOVE!***

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer - Peachtwist
coutureisqueen 3/22/2007 12:13:00 AM
A gorgeous, gorgeous color, but if you want to hear how much I love it then read my review on LoRAC's snake palette, because on me, it is identical to the blush in that palette. I'm not kidding, I have snake palette blush on my left cheek and peachtwist on my right cheek right now and they are identical. Both beautiful(read my other review and you'll see how much I love it!). Anyways, a beautiful beautiful color.

Blush -Bourjois - Tomette
coutureisqueen 3/20/2007 11:24:00 PM
MMMM, the first thing about this blush that I loved was the smell! It's delicious! And the compact! It just breaks my heart how adorable it is, though fragile, but LOVE LOVE LOVE how they squeezed a mirror in there ! (MAC should take a leaf out of their book, seriously). Oh, can't forget how much I adore the rounded dome of the blush, and the cute curved little brush that fits in there(I carry it around though it is kind of useless, it's just so cute!). Now..to the color. It is beautiful. A dark golden peach on me. Just brightens and contours my face. I love this blush. Thank you Bourjois:)

Styling Products -Jonathan - Silky Dirt
coutureisqueen 3/19/2007 10:55:00 PM
I really like this stuff! I rub a little in my damp hair before I blowdry and it gives it some hold so it's not so slippery and holds its shape better, because I blowdry the roots to get volume in the back. If I don't put this stuff (or regular Dirt) in my hair before I blowdry, it's an ugly, awful mess. It still is a little too sticky though, so not HG, but pretty close. I'm still searching for that perfect piecey product that won't be so greasy, but I don't know if it exists! :)

Lip Gloss -Burt's Bees - Burts Bees Lip Shimmers
coutureisqueen 3/18/2007 7:18:00 PM
I had Nutmeg and it was hideous. The color was too coppery and the shimmers looked strange. The packaging sucked-it wouldn't twist up or down after the third use, and it got extremely messy. I am done with their lip shimmers forever.
