Lip Liners -Rimmel - 1000 kisses stay on lipliner in wild clover

I thought this would be a great nude color for everyday use, but turns out it's too orange-y for my lips. It somehow comes very close to getting the color right, but it's just slightly off. I think for the perfect nude lipliner Prestige's Honeysuckle wins hands down. Also the texture of this liner is kind of dry.

Lip Liners -Prestige - Lightshine Sheer Gloss Liner

I love love LOVE Prestige's liners, and this one is yet another winner. I have this in Honeysuckle, which is THE perfect color for my lips, it literally disappears right into my lips, the match is THAT good. But what results is a very sheer, glossy, formula that gives my lips a very natural and nude pout that I can never achieve with any other product. I always hate lipliners because they are so drying and I never find the need for them since I don't wear a lot of highly pigmented lipcolors anyway. But I felt like it was the only item that was missing from my makeup arsenal so I set out to find a good nude lipliner that would match my own lip color, and the search is finally over! It is a neutral nude color that I imagine would work well with a lot of skintones. Now all I need is a lipstick in this same color and I'm set. This is my all time favorite lipliner and I will never stray! This is a very high quality product at only a fraction of some of the high-end brands out there!

Polishes -OPI - Romeo & Joliet

This shade is gorgeous ONLY right after it's applied. The next day, and hereon after that, it turns into this boring one-dimensional reddish brown that I can't wait to take off in exchange for a brighter color. Big disappointment, and to think that I usually love dark red polishes with sparkles.

Polishes -Zoya - Nailpolish Sabrina

This color is WAY TOO sheer, and I hate sheer nail polish. I bought this without trying it on because the store does not allow polish testing, but I figured it would just be a normal pink/ivory shade, but even with 3 coats on it is still so sheer that I just gave up and decided to layer it over more opaque colors for fun. Kind of useless, really.

Yea I agree with the below review! This is FULL of tiny silver glitter, I was so mesmerized by this polish in the store that I had to have it! It looks great on my toes, and since silver polish is supposed to be hot this summer, I am so glad I got this just in time! Oh and Zoya bottles are so cute.

Polishes -Essie - Wicked

The name, the congealed blood color, everything about it screams vampy, and it really does deliver. This is such a classic vampy shade that everyone should have it as their nail polish staple. This is my go-to shade when I'm feeling some dark nails, I have tried many vampy shades but this one is always my favorite. My only complain is that it's kind of streaky, and Essie's tiny brushes are just not as amazing as Opi's prowide brush. Essie needs to look into that.

Polishes -OPI - Lincoln Park at Midnight

It is a lovely shade of dark eggplant purple bordering on black, and the prowide brush is kickass as well. It is very pretty in the bottle and equally pretty on the nails. But why did I take off one lippie? Because I was so anxious to buy this color and when I did, it simply did not live up to the hype that I associated with it. I imagine it's not quite as bad as scoring a bottle of Black Satin only to realize that it looks no different than a 2 dollar NYC Black Lace. But nevertheless, I was still somewhat disappointed that it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be, and that it was just like any other dark vampy shade that has graced my fingertips.

Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads
rated 2 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 4:17:00 AM

I tried to make this work, I really did. After the success of its cousin the non-oily pads, I really thought this would be a winner as well. But it is just TOO oily and it gets into my sensitive contact-wearing eyes and it's just not a pretty picture. My eyes literally stay red and irritated for days after using this, I love that it is packaged in convenient pads that are very easy to use, and it does remove my waterproof mascara quite well, but I wish they would tone it down a little with the oil so that it doesn't get so slippery and go all over the place. SOmeone said that they reformulated it to be not as oily? When did this happen? because I bought this about a month ago and it was definitely as oily as ever. I would love to try it if it were reformulated to be less oily.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Champs Elysees
rated 4 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 4:11:00 AM

Everyone seems to be getting a champagne bubbly feel from this fragrance, but what I detect is always a very very powdery floral in the opening, I do not detect any greenness at all. The powdery scent wakes me right up after I spray it and sometimes it can get too strong, but it softens after a while to a faint rose smell. After maybe about an hour or so it completely transforms into a soft, sweet, and very sheer musky scent that literally stays on the rest of the day and sometimes I get a whiff of its sillage and it's just breathtaking. The almond wood and mimosa really come through during this time and it is so sweet and fragrant (but in no way cloying or candy-ish, almost like brown sugar) surrounded by a scent what I can only describe as white musk (similar to TBS white musk). By the very end of the day, all I can smell is the white musk and it is a very comforting scent that is perfect for bedtime. I love how this fragrance develops through the day and takes me from morning to noon to night with perfectly accompanying scents for each time of the day. I wear it on bright sunny spring days and it is the best mood lifter ever.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 3:59:00 AM

I have repurchased this and will continue to repurchase this as long as they keep on making this amazing miracle product. No need for me to rave about how great this product is, we all seem to agree that it is the best eyeshadow primer out there. Now if only they made the tube clear so we can see how much product is left. I'm quite content with the packaging, it dispenses the right amount of product each time for both lids, I just wish I knew how much was left at all times...

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Aqua Lash
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 3:56:00 AM

My new favorite mascara! I got tons of compliments on my lashes when I first wore it, and that was enough to convince me that this was truly a one of a kind product. I always go for volumizing mascaras and this one is the best one I've tried so far. While it does not volumize quite as well as Lash Architect or Diorshow, it makes my lashes so long and holds the curls so well that it really does look like I have a set of false lashes on! I also love the fact that it doesn't smudge or flake at all. I was so amazed by this since most drugstore mascaras flake like no other, especially the waterproof formulas, but this one went on smoothly.

I love love love the wet shine collection of polishes. The quality is excellent and the colors are so juicy and vibrant and they really do look wet and shiny! This is a beautiful bright mauve/red that looks great on toes as well as on my hands. I wear this during the summertime when I want a punch of bright color.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

Cutest little tin ever. And a yummy rose scented multi-purpose product to boot. What more can one ask for? I use it as lip balm and as cuticle oil for my nails and they are both soo soft and moisturized afterwards. It's always a staple in my bag.

Lip Gloss -Cargo - Lipgloss Duo in SoHo
rated 5 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 3:47:00 AM

Beautiful colors! Cargo glosses are so smooth and creamy and the colors are very pigmented. I love this duo, although I haven't tried any of the other colors. The colors are a darker rosey bronze and a lighter golden beige, and both look so pretty and shimmery on the lips that I cannot stop applying them throughout the day. Because it is so smooth and buttery soft that the staying power isn't as great and it can be a hassle to reapply since they are not very portable. I find that it is easier for me to just apply with my fingertips instead of with a lip brush because these glosses are SO soft that it is hard to blend evenly with the brush, but instead just glides right on with the fingertips.

Blush -Cargo - BeachBlush - Coral Beach
rated 4 of 5
cmyklamb 4/6/2007 3:41:00 AM

This is a great blush/bronzer combo for my medium skintone. I put it on in the summertime and it instantly gives me a bronze and brazen look that is similar to wearing a golden highlighter on the cheeks but is much less time-consuming by just swiping some of this on my cheeks. The staying power is also very excellent, as the pigments stay on for most of the day without having to reapply. My only complaint is the packaging. While the aluminum tin cans are cute, they're just not very portable, the lid is always too loose. And also the gradation of color makes it kind of hard to get the lightest and deepest colors on the edges so the brush really only picks up the 3 middle colors.
