Blush -Hard Candy - Blush Crush Baked Blush #127 Honeymoon

As a blush this isn't very pigmented, but for a highlighter it works very well. I use this over my bronzer on my cheekbones for a glowy, shimmery look. This does enhance pores and any imperfections you have, which is why I only use it on my cheekbones. Its also very shimmery so I only use a tiny bit of it. It has limited uses so I won't repurchase and I doubt I'll use the whole thing up.
First off I will say that with this wand you really have to practice with it to avoid clumps. It's not a typical mascara wand, i guess the best way to describe it is a very short comb, so beware if you have short lashes this probably isn't for you. I start at the base of my lashes and make a zig-zag motion to the top. It does provide good length but doesn't do much for volume. It doesn't smear or flake either. I think this would work good over a volumizing mascara, but on its own it doesn't provide enough volume for me because I love fake-looking eyelashes. It's on the pricey side for drugstore mascara's too. I don't hate it so I will use it up but I wouldn't buy again. I'll be sticking to maybelline's mascaras becuase they are cheaper and better quality.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Pretty good liner. I have this in charcoal and its a less harsh alternative to black for daytime for us pale girls. The brush that comes with it is actually usable to get a thin line. The color payoff is nice, although I did layer it 2 times to get a darker line. Its smooth and easy to apply and dries fairly quickly. However the staying power isn't as great as my WnW cream liner or l'oreal's HIP. Maybelline has a good color selection though. I would recommend it for the good brush. If you want black or purple I think WnW's are better but if you're looking for other colors give this one a try.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - ColorIcon Palette in Lust [DISCONTINUED]

These shadows are so impressive!! All of them are pigmented, apply smoothly, and blend beautifully. I like that there is 3 matte and 3 shimmery shadows. These are some of the best quality d/s shadows imo and some of the cheapest too. With this pallete you can do a smokey eye or a more toned down daytime look. I love purples and this pallete really makes my green/blue eyes pop. I will definetly try more shadows from this line. Highly recommended, you can't go wrong spending $5 for 6 awesome shadows.
I have this in the waterproof version. First off it took me about 5 coats to make it look like I was wearing any mascara at all. It's definetly not waterproof either, as soon as my lashes got wet it flaked everywhere. Its cheap and I got it on a bogo half off, but it definetly isn't worth anything. Save your money for a better alternative.
Concealers -Bare Escentuals - Well-Rested For Eyes

I received this as an extra when I got the BE foundation starter kit. Don't like the foundation but this is a great concealer for my undereye circles. It covers them up without being noticable or too dry. I think it compliments my skintone very well (NC15) but it might look odd on darker skintones. It has kind of a yellowish tint to it but it neutralizes my somewhat dark circles. I use this on days when I don't use a lot of foundation or when I haven't slept much and need to look awake. I will repurchase if I ever run out. A little bit goes a long way with this stuff.
HG lip balm. Only chapstick that helped with my super dry lips when I was on accutane and I still use it. My mom also had super dry lips and this helped her out. I reapply a couple times a day and one tube lasts me a couple months. I like that it doesn't feel waxy and the scent isn't obnoixous, kind of a faint vanilla. Love it and will always repurchase. Especially great in the summer because it has SPF.
Tinted Moisturizer -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear - Ivory to Fair

I was suprised at how much I liked this after reading the not so good reviews on here. This is the first tinted moisturizer I have ever used. I hate liquid foundations because I can never find a good color match and they are either too cakey or don't last on my skin. The color match with this was really good and (I'm NC15). Although it doesn't have a lot of coverage it evened out my skintone really well and I just use concelar on the areas that need extra coverage. When I first put it on it looks prettty oily and shiny but once it sinks in a bit and I set it with powder its perfect. I just love how lightweight it is and I can skip regular moisturizer because this is moisturizing enough in the summer and it has spf 15=) It does smell kinda weird but it doesn't bother me, it reminds me of lavender oil and after I apply it the smell is gone. I wish it lasted a little longer on my skin but then again nothing really does. I like it and will repurchase.
Foundations -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Mousse Makeup
brittbrat118820 4/30/2010 5:41:00 PM
I agree with the previous reviewer. I was looking for something lighter than colorstay but this is just too difficult to blend and doesn't sit well on my skin. Its smooth in some areas put patchy in others and it's not buildable it just gets cakey. I don't like having to fuss with my foundation and blend too much. I tried various methods to apply it but it just never looked right. I have this in ivory and its a tad too light but the next color up, light, was too orange on me. It did seem to last all day though and the finish wasn't bad. I think this may work for people with oiler skin but not for me. It smells like paint too which bothered me. The HG search continues.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
brittbrat118820 4/26/2010 4:20:00 PM
Overall great powder. Applies so smoothly without being cakey or really heavy. I use this to set my foundation and it keeps me matte for most of the day. I apply this with my ecotools powder brush not the crappy applicator it comes with. Didn't break me out either. I took off 1 lippie for the limited color selection and packaging. I have the light shade and its a tad too light, but the medium looks to dark and my store only carries 4 colors but I'm not sure if there is more avaliable. I also hate the packaging; its so bulky with the flip out mirror and when you take that part out there actually isn't a lot of product. Its cheap though and pretty good product so I would repurchase.
Pretty bright pink color on my fair NC15 skin. I'm not used to wearing such a bright lip for daytime so I tone it down a bit with a light pink gloss over it and its very bold yet flattering for everyday wear. Its creamy and doesn't dry out my lips like some lipsticks can. I like that there isn't an overpowering scent or taste to it either. Staying power isn't that great just so-so but I don't mind reapplying. I think the quality of these lipsticks is great you just have to find a color that works. Its pretty but I don't wear it a lot so I don't think I'll need to repurchase.
Eye Shadow -NYX - 10 Color Palette - Champagne & Caviar
brittbrat118820 4/16/2010 12:07:00 AM
Another great product from NYX. I'm suprised it has such a low rating on MUA becase this pallete is great!! What I love most about it is how versatile it is. I can use it for a natural daytime look or do a smokey brown eye look for nightime. I must admit I don't use all of the colors but the ones I have used are pigmented and super easy to blend. I love that they are mostly matte I'm just not a fan of frosty or sparkly shadows. The staying power is average but I don't use primers so they don't last all day but they get me through an 8 hour workday. My initial impression of the pallete was that it was boring and too neutral, but after playing with it I realized how great it is for a natural but polished look. Definetly pick this up you get 10 colors for $8 online and you'll be suprised how many different uses you will get out of it. Make sure you have good brushes too the crappy applicator it comes with is useless.
Lipstick -New York Color - Ultra Moist Lip Wear Retro Red 308B
brittbrat118820 4/14/2010 3:20:00 PM
Wow I really love this lipstick! I was wanting to try a red lip but didnt want to spend a lot because I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. I got this little gem at target for $1. The color is bright red but still really pretty and wearable. It doesn't look orange or brown on me like some reds can. The formula is awesome it wears pretty long but it is a little drying but it doesn't feather or anything like some lipsticks can. You need to make sure your lips are moisturized or put a gloss over it. Its bold so I don't wear it that often usually only when I go out. I really love it though and would recommend it. I want to try some more of their colors too.
This stuff smells awful and only lasted about 2 hours on my face. The finish was nice and the color 120 creamy natural matched pretty well tho. It didnt break me out but I only wore it once and will not wear it again. You get what you pay for with cover girl imo.
I like the natural beauty foundation so I figured I would like the powder too. I must say that this line is the closest match in color to my fair neutral toned skin. Not too pink or orange like most other d/s foundations and powders are. I have the foundation in ecru beige and the powder in neutralizer and they are both almost perfect color matches. However this powder is just too dry and cakey looking. Its on the pricey side for a d/s powder too. It didnt really cover anything or "neutralize" it just made my face look too powdery over my foundation. I would not recommend this unless you can't find a color match with other powders.
