Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Acqua di Gio (for women)

i absolutely LOVE this! it's my summer staple (actually i use it all season too!) it comes in a simple but elegant bottle with a gold cap. and the notes are clean and fresh. it's the only fragrance i've ever repurchased!
Eyeliner -Kanebo - TIFFA Liquid Eyeliner Black and Gold
blueblood91 10/10/2007 11:35:00 AM
like what the other reviewers said, this liner allows you to draw very precise lines, and i believe even beginners can draw very thin and defined lines with this. there is A LOT of finely milled gold glitter in the tube, which creates a lovely shimmery effect. the black is satisfyingly inky black and the gold glitter compliments it very well. however, this liner dries very slow and if i try to go back to a section i've already drawn, it somehow kind of "erases" the part just like the others said. that being said, if i let it dry before applying eyeshadow, this does last a very long time. and since i love the gold so much, i probably will repurchase.
unlike the other reviewers, i actually liked KATE lipgloss. i like it that it's comfortable to wear, is not thick and sticky and it shows up with moderate shine instead of high shine. the color that i have is BE-1, which is a milky light beige with subtle gold shimmer that shows up as the perfect nude on my lips. i should mention that i have fairly pigmented lips. for an asian, i have really pale skin and nude lip color normally washes me out and i appear dead, but this lipgloss is demur without making me look too pale or dead. it goes really well with the smoky eye look as it puts the focus on your eyes but your lips still retain a subtle sheen/shimmer. besides, you're getting a lot of product for only $4.
i've recently purchased this blush in PK-1, and i have to say, i'm very pleased with it! PK-1 is a very light pink that gives a healthy, just-blushed look, and it has very fine, minimal shimmer and no glitter. it's perfect as a daytime blush. the quality of the blush is similar to my shu uemura glow-on, which costs more than $20, and this kate blush is only about $10! and it comes with this very cute round brush that's the perfect size for traveling. and the brush is surprisingly soft! i love it and plan on purchasing different shades too. i took one lippie off for the case of the blush -- it's the usual KATE black plastic case that well, looks cheap. i know KATE is a cheap budget brand and all, but it'd be nice if they took some time and put in more effort on the case designs...
Treatments (Eye) -Clarins - eye revive beauty flash

this eye cream actually did nothing for me as a makeup base... i was really puzzled about what it was supposed to do, until i woke up one morning with really puffy eyes. i applied this eye cream and my eyes instantly looked brighter and it de-puffed the lids really fast. this eye cream works like a miracle on fatigued eyes too. and upon application on fatigued eyes, it soothes my eyes, instantly making them feel less sore. i use it on the days when my eyes look stressed, tired, or when i simply don't want to wear eye makeup but still want them to look awake.
i have sui rouge G in 700, which is a glossy, sheer pink-beige. it looks sort of like mauve in the case but on me, it's really sheer and natural. it wears like a gloss and is SO comfortable but lasts for very long! the lipstick case is too cute for words. and it smells of the signature anna sui rose smell. i love it and hope to try other shades!
Concealers -Clarins - Instant Light Perfecting Touch

i have this in 01 and i was sort of skeptical whether this will cover up my dark circles because it looked fairly light and sheer when i tested it on the back of my hand. but to my delight, this concealer really works! i frequently pull all nighters so i have really dark circles and my eyes frequently look tired. this covers up the imperfections and brightens my entire face up. besides dark undereye circles, this also covers up pores and my mom also loves this stuff (she has this in 02) as it covers up her wrinkles and fine lines! love it! will definitely repurchase.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm
blueblood91 9/21/2007 7:00:00 AM
i love the strawberry smell! it makes my lips so glossy and soft, just like my favorite rosebud salve. i do agree with the other reviewers that this product isn't as versatile as the original rosebud salve, which can be used on lips and basically everywhere else. but the strawberry balm has the cutest tin and hell, it smells so good that i'll apply and reapply it even if it doesn't do my lips any good!
i used to love love spell and i'd wear it all the time. but now it kind of smells too sweet and plastic-y. it still smells really nice, but just too... "teenage." maybe i've just outgrown it.
the bottle is just too adorable! on me it smells really fruity although not particularly apple-like. i love the scent but i do have to be really careful with application cuz it's kind of strong. but it's not so overpowering that it makes me allergic, and i'm allergic to a lot of perfumes and EDT out there.
this eyelash curler is just amazing! i have long but stick-straight lashes. but this works like a dream on me and my lashes manage to stay curled all day! i don't even have to squeeze hard, i just squeeze gently on the roots and in the middle, and then voila! perfectly curled lashes. ---- i just wanted to add that the world-reknown makeup maestro mr. shu uemura has passed away on dec.29, 2007 from pneumonia. may his soul R.I.P.
i do like this product.. but for all the hype and the price i expected better things from it. it does lengthen and thicken my lashes, but so do my shu uemura xtension mascara and even my maybelline xxl volume + length.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE this! sure the price is a bit steep, but for $13 you get a high-end product that is both a lip gloss AND a beautiful black carved rose-shaped ring. pretty good deal really! i have this in 600 which is a peachy color with shimmer and smells of roses. i love the smell and i get so many compliments wearing the ring! it's a bit bulky and is too big for my ring finger so i wear it on my index finger. it's great, the bulkiness serves as a fashion statement and it's an excellent conversation starters. i'm thinking of purchasing the white limited edition ring rouge now!
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Doctor Burt's Res-Q Ointment
blueblood91 9/16/2007 11:35:00 AM
this stuff works really well on insect bites and other itchy spots. and a few days ago i accidentally cut my finger when i was chopping up bits of veggies... so i dabbed some of this ointment on the wound and it instantly stopped the bloodflow (actually it was a really small wound so there wasn't much blood anyway). however, it does leave a greenish tinge on the place where you've applied it... so the one time i dabbed some of this onto a mosquito bite on my face i looked like i had a faint bruise as if someone's punched me there... i do like the smell though.
i loved this product when i first got it about 3 months ago. it used to spread easily and applying was a snap. also the glass jar is really cute. my face looked very smooth when i had it on. however, it has grown increasingly cakey and now my face looks REALLY oily and shiny with this product on, and my face broke out. and i'm not even an oily/sensitive skin type person normally. will not repurchase.
