Loose Powders -E.L.F. - Studio High Definition Powder

Wow! I was super impressed with this powder! I had wanted to try the high end high def powder, but was not willing to fork over the money for it. I finally got my hands on this product and I LOVE IT! It is SOOO silky and it really does make my makeup appear airbrushed on my skin. I do find it controls oil well throughout the day. The puff is nice, but I usually apply it with a fluffy powder brush to set my makeup. The packaging it kinda bulky, but I like the screw top b/c it guarantees no spills when I travel, and as long as you keep the puff inside, not a whole lot of product gets above the sifter if it is turned upside down. But if you do happen to get a lot above the sifter, it is super easy to get back into the container because it is so finely milled that it easily falls through the sifter. I will definitely repurchase when I run out!

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Champagne

I love this shade for highlighting my browbone and inner corner. It is shimmery and really finishes most eye looks. It lasts a good amount of time when I use a primer, but not so long without one. Sometimes I like to do this all over the lid in the summer with some mascara and it is a nice shimmery look to do when I have a little bit of a tan and am at the beach or something. Overall, it is a nice color and something I reach for a lot of the times when I am pressed for time getting ready in the morning. I like to use it with CG tapestry taupe and it creates a nice day look for work.

Very nice shade! I usually wear this during the day to work paired with CG Champagne and it creates a nice daytime look. It has some shimmer, but it is not overpowering. I personally would prefer that it were a little more matte and more pigmented, but it's good for the price. I love taupes, but sometimes it can be hard to find one that looks good on me. This one is the perfect shade of taupe, and it does not look to dark or drab on my lid. I would definitely buy again.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Trio - Shimmering Sands

This is a great set for a neutral eye. It does have some shimmer-hence the name...but not too much that it makes it over the top. I find this very appropriate for daytime work use. The colors are not overly pigmented, but it creates a sheen for the eye that looks pretty and natural. This is not for someone looking for a dramatic look, but I would recommend it to someone just starting out in makeup, or if you just like a neutral eye with some shimmer. Nice set for the price, and the applicator are decent for applying the shadow.

Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Moisture Therapy Skin Bump Minimizer

This stuff is AMAZING!!! This is the ONLY lotion I have ever used that completely smoothes the bumps on my arms caused by KP. My HG drugstore lotion helps somewhat, but it does not do nearly as well as this stuff. The ingredients in this help exfoliate the dead skin that blocks the hair follicle, which causes the bumps. It is also very lightweight and fast drying. Not to mention how affordable this product is! I stockpile this stuff in case they ever decide to discontinue it. LOVE IT!

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse

I heard about this on youtubue. I was not impressed with the other Maybelline mousse products, but this stuff is great! I usually wear mineral foundation b/c I feel that it is quicker to apply and less messy. Most liquid foundations make me look cakey and I'm just not really a fan of them. I was intrigued by this and had heard great things about it, so I had to give it a try. My shade is 150 Classic Ivory. The first thing I noticed when I opened it was that you seem to get very little product compared to how large the packaging is. But I've been using it a few weeks and I haven't really put a dent in it, so it looks like it will last longer than first anticipated. I use the sponge that comes with it and I like how it applies. This does not feel cakey at all. It is very light and natural feeling, but yet it covers beautifully. It does leave a natural, dewy finish and I am very pleased with this product. I usually tend to get oily throughout the day, but I have not had a problem with this. I just dust some loose translucent powder overtop and it stays all day with no shine coming through. I think this is perfect for summer when you don't want to feel like you are wearing a mask of makeup, but still want coverage. It is a little pricey for drugstore foundation, but you can often get it on sale or buy one get one, which is a great thing about drugstores. I would totally buy this again!

Lip Gloss -Laura Geller - The Tropics Lipstick and Lip Gloss

I LOVE this set!!! I actually got the 4 piece deluxe tropics set with the blush and another lipgloss in the almost the same color as the lipstick and everything about the kit is awesome! This lipstick is gorgeous! I am usually a gloss only type girl b/c most lipsticks dry out my lips. I have not had any problem with this lipstick making my lips dry. As long as I put a lip balm underneath, it doesn't seem to cause dryness. It actually lasts a pretty long time too. The City Lights gloss is more glittery in person that it looked on tv and I was afraid I would look too juvenile with all of that glitter on, but it really does not look crazy on the lips. It actually compliments the lipstick so well and it smells great! The packaging on this set rocks! I wish everything of Laura's was this beautifully packaged. While this is a little on the expensive side, it is totally worth it. I do believe you can wear this set with anything and I do think it would look great on a variety of skintones. I would totally purchase again and I recommend it to anyone!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Summer Vanillas-Apricot body spray

My BBW store did not carry this scent in the summer vanillas line for some reason-I heard it was only in select stores. Fortunately, I was able to receive it in a swap. I really like this scent. It smells a little odd to me when first sprayed, but after a few minutes it smells great. It is sweet, but not overly so and the vanilla provides enough warmth to make this a great fragrance overall. I was not a fan of the other summer vanillas, but this one is a winner for me. I only said I wouldn't buy again b/c I have so many fragrances and it takes me forever to get through an 8 oz bottle. This will last a long time for me.

Lotions/ Creams -Dove - Dove Cream Oil Intensive BodyLotion, Extra Dry Skin Advanced

This lotion is AMAZING! I have tried many lotions for my dry skin, and this has become my HG! It moistures my skin so well that I can tell a difference after one application. I have keratosis pilaris on my arms, and this is the only lotion from the drugstore that actually helps smooth the bumps for me. This lotion absorbs fairly quickly and leaves my skin with a healthy sheen, but it is not at all greasy. I have been through several bottles of this and sometimes I buy others just because I'm curious, but they always let me down and I come back to Dove. It is lightly scented, but that does not bother me and it never interferes/clashes with any perfume I apply afterwards. If you have really dry skin, this is a great option! Highly recommended!

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach

This is such a beautiful color on my pale skin! It just brightens up my face and I absolutely love this blush for summer. I usually contour my cheeks with a matte bronzer first and then brush this over the apples of my cheeks and it looks awesome! I think this is a great quality blush for the money-good pigmentation and average staying power. It does have a scent, but it does not bother me and I don't smell it after it's applied. I think this would look great on most skintones, from light skintones (like me) to tan and olive skintones. I would definitely repurchase!

Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious Brown Sugar

I really like this color. I never would have bought it if the SA hadn't convinced me to try the tester. I have pale skin with pink tones, and this was the last color I would have reached for. To my surprise, it looks amazing on me! I really like it for fall/winter. I don't mind the smell, even though it's definitely not my favorite scent.

I really like this lipgloss. It smells wonderful! It is a bright coral-pink color in the package and has gorgeous hot pink shimmery flecks in it. It does apply sheerer than it appears in the package, but adds a nice color to the lips. Beautiful for summer!

I'm surprised at how much I like this lipstick! I'm not usually a lipstick type girl, but I'm a sucker for pinky coral colors. I also got it on sale, which is a plus since I think it is kinda pricey for a drugstore lipstick. This shows up more pink than coral on me, probably because my lips are naturally more pigmented. I was surprised that this was not drying on my lips (which is the main reason i don't wear lipsticks). As long as I apply some sort of lip balm underneath, it does not tend to be drying. Though it appears sparkly in the tube, it is not at all frosty on the lips. It just creates a nice dimension on the lips. Looks great with a coral gloss over top. I will definitely try more CS lipsticks in the future.

This is a neutral color that goes great with anything. It adds a great shine and I think it does a great job keeping my lips hydrated (I have very dry lips and am constantly applying lip balm). I'm not a big fan of the brush applicator, as I feel it deposits too much product and would have less waste if it was a doe-foot applicator. The smell used to bother me, but now I don't really notice it as much. Overall a wonderful gloss :)

This is such a great colored lipgloss. It adds enough color and shine, and I love the tingling. I would actually say it is cooling, as it does not sting or anything like that. I can't say that it plumps my lips though. Overall, I like this product and would recommend it.
