a great 3 in 1 product that looks great everywhere - its a BEAUTIFUL pinky/peachy/plummy color that is very glowy - but with no gross pieces of shimmer. Its a really beautiful color and lasts a long time - very natural looking giving you great color - one of my fav 3 in 1 of all time!!!!!

Foundations -L'Oreal - Age Perfect Skin Supporting Hydrating Light Ivory 703

I really wanted to like this, but no. I got it in "nude beige" which is darker and more orange than what it looks like though the jar but a nice color on, giving me a nice "healthy" / sunny color - but I would NOT spot cover with it, I am sure it would look like an orange spot - unlike my hg of its kind (creamy foundations in a glass jar for dry skin) tru blend whipped which you CAN spot cover really well. The big problem with this foundation is its SMELL - like an old lady perfume - HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! and it irritates my eyes when I use it under them, my main place I use foundation. When I looked at the ingredients I was disapointed on how long the list was, not a good sign for my sensitive skin, plus "fragrance" was in the MIDDLE of the long list, not the end like how you would expect!!!! Also there are A LOT of parabens in the middle of the list, not at the end so maybe thats what it irritating my skin as well. With all these parabens the scent was not just like an old lady smell, but slightly off-ish, which should not be. The smell is not only bad, but really strong. It also contains Propylene gIycol, a known irritant and linked to other health problems. I am returning this and not buying any more loreal foundations colors are too pale yellow or orange and I don't like their true match. I will stick to cover girl trublend - the cg website is also great about shade matching - the loreal site does not help you find a shade AT ALL - a real problem. fyi maybelline also has good foundation colors but I don't like revlon's colors are very confusing and they never look natural

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Lipstick in Peach Fuzz
rated 2 of 5
amy212 9/16/2006 8:16:00 PM

This is one of the few color riche colors I don't like. The frost is more noticable than the color and it does not apply evenly. I love light colors but them must look smooth on and have decient coverage. Peach fuzz fails on all points. I do give it 2 because I do like color riche in general. The tube never comes apart in my bag and I do like the smell, and I hate most lipstick smells. Over the years I have purchased most of the colors I have wanted to try - you should see my collection, many many many color riche lipsticks - this one is my least favorite

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige

I love color riche in general and I love this beige color - I wish it was not a LE color, that is my only complaint. I probalby won't wear it as much as I would like because I want to "save" it for special occasions. I don't like to stock up on le products because it just makes me fall in love and than at some point, even if I stock up they will be gone. Maybe loreal will keep the shade if it sells well???

Crème -Cover Girl - Cover Girl TruBlend Whipped Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I too really like this foundation - my daily fav had been tur blend in the pump for a long time so when I saw this I new I had to try it. I def would take the pump when traveling so I don't have to worry about the glass jar in my bag, but I don't like how you can't get all the makeup out of the pump at the end and that you need to peel the label off the pump to see how much makeup it left. My color, buff beige is great as and matches me really well. The coverage is very good, but I do use a concealer for serious problems with excema that my skin gets (looks like pimples but different), but I expect this and I don't hold that against ANY foundation, plus it is a great base for the concealer. I have not had any problems with it breaking me out or looking too oily or too dry, and never cakey like people have complained about - I do get dewy looking which I like - I am sure you could use powder over this if you wanted to but I don't bother. I have not broken out and my excema is not made worse by this foundation. The application is very fast and blending is a dream. I don't know which one I will but again - jar or pump, I am sure I will buy both to replace when the time comes - I have gone though countless pumps but my jar is new so I have not relplaced it yet. Trublend in general is a great foundation line - the powder was dry feeling on me - but I hate all powders, the fact that i even tried it says how great trublend in general. I really hope they come out with a concealer from this line, I will be sure to try that as well. fyi - I have spend $60 on Chantecaille both real skin and future skin (about $60 EACH) and I have had my issues with both - trublend reminds me of their foundations but at about 1/10 the price, plus I don't have issues the way I did with the $$$$$ foundations. I used to think Cover Girl made cosmetics only my mother would like, but they really have come a long way!!!!

Loose Powders -Chantecaille - Loose powder
rated 2 of 5
amy212 9/10/2006 6:17:00 AM

loreal makes a talc free loose powder that is nicer and I don't have to tell you ladies how less expensive it is. I think this was my worse purchase ever - I can see spending $$$$$ on a foundation, not a powder - but I did and I regret that, I should have taken it back because I just don't use it at all - it is just such a mess it's real pain!!!!!

Crème -Chantecaille - Future Skin
rated 2 of 5
amy212 9/10/2006 6:12:00 AM

I really wanted to like this, but I feel like it made my skin look dry and make my dry areas look worse, but the coverage was great around my oily nose - my main problem area with broken caps and redness. I will keep this around to spot conceal, but I doubt I will buy this again as a foundation - its also extremely expensive unless it is your all time hg, which it is not for me - I really don't like oil free formulas if they are not loaded with silicone which I don't think this is, (I am a huge fan of silicone)I think it is water based which can be hydrating but really robs me of hydration instead. I could prep this with vincent longo water canvas prep to protect my skin, but i don't feel like I should have to do this with a foundation that costs $60 or so american!!!

Crème -Chantecaille - real skin
rated 5 of 5
amy212 9/10/2006 5:56:00 AM

This would be my all time hg if it was not so expensive - its not not much it costs really, its that I can go though it sooo fast I just can't afford to buy it all the time its crazy. I love the buildable coverage that gives excelent coverage and a beautiful glow. I wore this on my wedding day - the compact was new and I HIT THE BOTTOM applying in layers to get that flawless face when I had a lot to cover - for my wedding I did not care, but I just can't afford to go though it like water - but it really makes my skin look great - now I use cover girl trublend every day and believe it or not, the products can be compaired, the glow and the buildable coverage, but for a fraction of a fraction of the cost - and beware, the spf 30 real skin re-formulation is very dry looking in comparison. I did say I would buy this again because I love it, but I wish I had that kind of money. I may still keep buying it and I I win the lottery it will be my every day foundation for sure!!!!!!

Highlighters -MAC - Fawntastic cream colour base
rated 5 of 5
amy212 8/27/2006 8:15:00 PM

I love this as a creme eyeshadow!!!!! i love that it is it is dewy looking without chunks of shimmer ect and lasts on me without creasing. The color is a pale taupy color - very nautral, "my eyelids but better" I hope mac keeps this sround for a really long time!!!!Honestly - I stopped using this as a eye shadow - it would be a 5 star eye shadow base for powder, but I am a simple 1 color creme shadow girl and I like a bit more of a color pay-off - this def is a "your lids but better" but I quess I like more eye makeup than that. Def use this as a shadow base for powder though - I hate powders, but thats just me.

Mascara -Dr. Hauschka - Mascara - Brown
rated 2 of 5
amy212 8/6/2006 9:08:00 PM

This looked nice at first, but it flakes. It also has a rose scent that make my eyes water and feel very dried out. The second ingredient is alcohol!!! It is also extremely expensive - $22 - but if it was perfect that would have been ok I guess. I took this back to whole foods!!!!

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Milk Chocolate
rated 5 of 5
amy212 8/6/2006 8:33:00 AM

I too love this color - I bought it really for me eyes - I have such a hard time buying a basic brown creme eyeshadow these days and I LOVE multi use products. I thought it would be too sticky/tacky like stilla covertable or mac blushcreme for my cheeks, but after I applied to my eyes with a brush I tried it on my cheeks as well - expecting it to feel sticky/tacky and it did not - and did NO EXCEMA RASH like I get with stila/mac. I LOVE it on my eyes, cheeks and lips - but i also use gloss over the lips to break up the color a bit. It is GREAT and very nautral for my "buff beige" light/medium toned warm skin. almost like I amnot wearing makeup, but I feel like I am not naked and pale. I also want the velvet plum and maybe the lighter brown one as well - any of the colors that would be good for the eyes and cheeks - for the price I do want it to work for both areas, I am obsessed with using mulit products on the eyes and cheeks - I use the same brush and it saves me LOADS of time in the morning!!! I am glad I tried this. It is pricy, but I wear it a lot and stays all day without touchups or worry about creasing or fading (maybe a tad, but a quick flick of a pinky fixes that really quickly and I normally don't need to do that either.) I and am very happy with it!!! PS - this is also one of the ONLY cream products that does not vanish on my eyes after applying a nautral (and beauty oil based) mineral sunblock, nor does it make my eyes look dry and creapy like other shadows that may stick around but look and feel dry. Its dewy but STAYS PUT. This is a huge this for me, and I may ONLY wear these from now on because EVERYTHING VANISHES OVER MY SUNBLOCK - but not this!!!

Blush -MAC - Blushcreme Pleasureful
rated 2 of 5
amy212 8/6/2006 8:20:00 AM

Oh, how I wanted to like these, but they caused me nothing but problems. I get acne but NEVER on my cheeks, but these blushes gave me rashy excema because they are sooo sticky - and for me this kind of rash is harder to treat and get rid of than true acne, and LEAVES SCARS - something I never had to deal with when I get pimples. They are really sticky and I have a hard time blending them, with fingers or a blush brush (ie my fav paula dorf creme blush brush) and they dry down MATT, not a good thing for me!!!Too bad I bought a few of them before I knew they would cause me soo much problems and its not too late to return - I do love themon my lips though, they last a long time and over balm don't dry my lips out ect. Finally the rash went away but I am NOT looking to try them again - too bad, I loved the idea of them!!! If you look at the tester inthe store you can see how gross and sticky they look, having picked HUGE amount of lint from being touched - this should have been a sign TOO STICKY FOR ME!!!! I love their creme color bases however, I have never broken out from them - but I fear they will stop using that formula because these seem soo popular. Too bad for me!!! p s- I love BOBBI BROWN'S LIP/CHEEK ROUGE POTS, very much like blushcremes but easy to blend with a brush and no excema problems, pllus the colors are GREAT!!!

Blush -MAC - Cream Color Base in Root
rated 5 of 5
amy212 6/13/2006 6:37:00 AM

I ADORE THIS COLOR - This and Dusk are my hoily grail shadows - can I have 2 hg??? I say yes, because these are like sister colors to me. As another reviewer noted, root is a warm / nuetral coffee color with silver shimmer and plummy undertones - it looks DARK IN THE CASE, BUT GOES ON SHEER AND SOOOO PRETTY!!!!!! This is an extremely nautral "your lids but better" color and I do not like silver shimmer normally, but the shimmer does not really register, just glowy. I do reach for dusk a -tiny- bit more ofter because the color is more "true" in the pan, a taupy golden shimmer - as I said, root can be scarry looking in the pan - but when I wear it I ALWAYS remember why I fell in love in the first place and go back for more for days and days. I will FREAK IF MAC STOPS MAKING THESE - but my friend works for mac and says they sell really well - I am just paranoid, I don't think anything will ever make me soooo happy as these shades!!!!!! Root also looks great on the cheeks - suprize from the color, but its really true!!!!! I have stopped looking for new shadows!!!! IT WILL ALWAYS BE ROOT AND DUSK FOR ME!!!!! THESE WERE MY FIRST MAC PURCHASES YEARS AND YEARS AGO AND THEY WILL ALWAYS BE MY HOLY GRAILS!!!!!!!
