Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow quad " Sterling Rose "
WhereAmI 5/4/2008 12:08:00 AM
This quad contains a champagne-taupe, light pink, silver-grey and dark grey. I am NC25 and these colors are very flattering for a variety of looks, from natural to smoky and I do find Colorstay e/s lasts much longer than other brands on my lids, especially w/o primer.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Blushing Cherry Blossom
WhereAmI 4/29/2008 10:28:00 PM
"Cherry blossoms blended with lighthearted jasmine, rose juliette and crisp citrus capture the romantic first blush of spring. Fresh. Radiant. Blissful." This is a pleasant fruity-floral that smells mostly of roses and grapefruit. I'm not a big fan of either, but I'm sure others will like this fragrance.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine - Extra Apricot
WhereAmI 4/28/2008 11:36:00 PM
This gloss applies more sheerly than it looks in the tube and shows up as a sheer, bright, multidimensional, peach with gold microshimmer. I haven't noticed any real plumping effects, but this product does make my lips look smooth and healthy.
NC25. I have this product in Natural, which consists of stripes of beige, light pink, mauve and peach. I can't see many using this as a blush, due to its super-shimmer and barely-there pigmentation (when blended together, icy pink shimmer). I sweep a light dusting of this product on my cheekbones. Very glowy and pretty.
The bottle is gorgeous and the fragrance is very, very sexy. This is a heady floral. A blast of honeysuckle and watermelon dries down to tuberose and vanilla.
I rated the package quality of Paint a 5 because it's so hygienic. Other than the first time I opened the tube, I have not had a problem with wasted product. Actually, this product could last me forever, as I use a tiny amount each time. Bare Canvas is a very pale beige with subtle shimmer. It's too light for me to wear in its own, but I use this as a wash before applying powder shadow to prevent creasing. I also like Chiaroscuro Paint, which I wear from lid to crease with grey or taupe shadows. I heard Paints in the tube may be discontinued in favor of Paint Pots. I don't know why MAC would favor an unhygienic pot over a sanitary tube, but MAC has been doing crazy things lately.
This is my go-to summer pedicure polish. Tropical Fiesta is a bright pinky coral that is very flattering on my NC25 skintone. I've gotten lots of complements on this color, which I usually pair with a Revlon Sheer Sugar (sheer white) manicure. Both products are easy to apply and with a Revlon fast-dry topcoat, stay shiny and chip-free for quite a while.
This is a great product that makes my hair shiny and soft. I regularly flat iron my hair and this product has minmized frizz and breakage on my heavily highlighted hair. I like that this product is very light feeling and does not weigh my hair down as other heat protectants do.
MAC's description of this color as a soft muted pinky-peach beige with golden shimmer is way off. In the tube, Frenzy looks like a medium-toned champagne bronze. On my lips, Frenzy looks like a dull, shimmery, brown, which washes me out and makes me look sickly. Three lippies because I know this will work on the right skintone, but this color is not for me.
Graphology is a dark, matte, grey with purple undertones, perfect for my hazel eyes. For the most part, I don't like vividly-colored shadows, although I know that purples are great for bringing out the color in hazel eyes. With this shadow, I can create a sultry, smoky look with purple undertones that makes my eyes appear brighter and more golden. Wow!

Actually, this product could last me forever, as I use a tiny amount each time. On its own, Chiaroscuro looks like a pale taupey-gray with subtle shimmer, very pretty, but it also makes a great base for any brown, gray or taupe shadow. I wear this often with Satin Taupe or UD's Stray Dog. No creasing, ever. A must for warm weather. I heard Paints in the tube may be discontinued in favor of Paint Pots. I don't know why MAC would favor an unhygienic pot over a sanitary tube, but MAC has been doing crazy things lately.
I usually wear light pinks, peaches and nudes with the occasional YLBB thrown in, but while at the MAC counter, O's unique burgundy and bronze iridescence caught my eye. The SA swore it would look good on me, so I purchased it and went home to try it on. I like definition, so I tried it with several liners: Beurre (too brown), Pink Treat (too dark) and Naked Rose (perfect), although I can't just swipe O on. Instead, I swipe very lightly, pat it on evenly with my finger and apply Pretty Plush l/g on top. This really is a pretty lip color that looks great with champagne e/s, black liner and lots of mascara.
I am sensitive to fragrance, so I was apprehensive about opening my bottle of Chance, which I had purchased unsniffed. Well, I don't get any of the "icky" notes others reviewers have mentioned and I do find Chance lighter than Coco Mademoiselle. I don't find it offensive, but I am not in love with this fragrance either, so I don't plan on repurchasing. I do plan on wearing this out to see if I become a man-magnet though ; )
Ooh, I loooooooove this shadow. Stray Dog is a taupey-gray with lots of silver shimmer, more pigmented than most of my taupes. Easy to wear and flattering. This dog has found a forever home.
Lip Liners -Clinique - Quickliner for Lips Allspice
WhereAmI 4/27/2008 1:18:00 PM
This is the closest I have gotten to NYX Ever, which is my favorite liner to wear with pinky-corals. I find NYX products too difficult to get a hold of, so I picked up Allspice, a medium-toned terracotta with enough pink in it to make it highly wearable. Great formula, even better than MAC Cremesticks. This liner looks great with one of my favorite lipsticks, and the only product I have back-up of, MAC Thrills.
