Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion in Natural Medium Tan
WendyW 6/7/2009 1:17:00 PM
First my tube was defective. My husband had to make a hole in the top so the product would squeeze out. Now to the color: ORANGE. You will be ORANGE very quickly with this product. I only bought because I did not like the fragrance of the Jergen's Natural Glow Express. Thank goodness I didn't put the Sublime lotion on my face; only on my legs and feet. I am very fair, and could not find anything less than Medium. Regardless, I think I would have ended up a paler form of orange. I will stick with the Jergen's Natural Glow Express in fair. Much better color.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner - Black
WendyW 5/23/2009 8:33:00 AM
Took a lippie off because of the packaging. If you twist the cap on too tight, it will crack. Then it is very difficult to get the cap and the brush out of the tube simultaneously. I've had to throw some of these away because I screwed the cap on too tight. The eyeliner is just as good as some of the very expensive brands. I've tried them all and this and Revlon Colorstay liquid liner are the best. I think Megaliner beats out Revlon due to it staying power and price. Very little transfer onto my slightly hooded eyelids.

Self Tanners -Jergens - natural glow express medim/tan
WendyW 5/23/2009 8:26:00 AM
I love this self-tanner. I took one liippie off because I think the fragrance is too strong. Maybe they need to do that to mask the chemical spell, I'm not sure, but it's as strong as a perfume lotion. Now to the good stuff. I have very white pastey legs. Natural Glow Express gives me a very natural non-orange look. Plus, it works practically overnight. Yes, the bottle is small, but I think it's because you're supposed to use it less.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Bioinfusion Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion
WendyW 4/6/2009 7:44:00 AM
I found this in the ethnic hair section at Walgreens. I love it. Doesn't weigh down hair or make it look greasy. It really tames my frizziness without using silicones. Gives a nice healthy shine. You don't need to worry about it being a greasy mess if you apply one too many times. I have naturally wavy hair that is very fine. This helps it to look piecy and healthy. Bioinfusion is often on sale at Walgreens too. I think it's an exclusive brand to Walgreens. The regular conditioners didn't do much for my hair, but the Mositurizing Lotion. Edit: I like this more in the winter than in the summer.

Gels/Soaps -Olay - Body Wash plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons
WendyW 4/5/2009 11:22:00 AM
The little blue granules are worthless. They are too big and too few of them to do anything. This product will make your tub/shower slippery and the little blue granules will be everywhere. You wonder if they're stuck on your body, in your ears, etc. after you get out of the shower because they don't dissolve. I bought mine for $7 or $8. You only need a little to get the suds going. I will stick with my Dove bar.

Polishes -L'Oreal - L'Oréal Nail Enamel

I've tried a lot of brands. I've very impressed with this. Good consistency, application, and shine. I'm very impressed with the wear and durability. I used Satin Starlet and love the sheer white color.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
WendyW 4/5/2009 8:56:00 AM
Yes it's dirt cheap. Yes it's waterproof--probably the most waterproof I've ever used. But the really strange thing is that although it's waterproof, it smeared on my oily upper lids. It's weird since I've found liquid eyeliners that are truly waterproof will transfer onto my upper lids as they get oilier throughout the day. They won't smear with tears or water, but they will smear with sebum or oil. If I get an liquid eyeliner that rinses off easily with water, I don't have the problem with the smearing with sebum or oil. The other issue with the H2O Proof liquid eyeliner is that you need to put it on after your mascara, not before. H2O is like a waterproof mascara in itself. Once it touches your lashes, it won't budge. You'll need to remove it with a oily makeup remover It will clump your lashes together making it more difficult to put on your mascara evenly. If you want something for the pool, this liquid eyeliner is for you. But if you want something that won't transfer onto your upper lid throughout the day, it is not.

Smears on the upper portion of my eyelids even on non-humid days. Max Factor 2000 Calorie is much better.

Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub
WendyW 4/3/2009 8:22:00 AM
As some other reviewers have stated, this product foams up like crazy. I bought it to get rid of the flakiness I've been encountering. Did nothing for it. This does not have an overall scrubbiness to it. There are sprinkles of granules, but too few to give an overall consistent scrub. You feel as if there are 3 granules floating around on your face, but how can they do the job?? Did not like.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 15 Normal/Dry Skin
WendyW 3/30/2009 8:00:00 PM
Doesn't have a pump dispenser which I think is important for cleanliness sake. Just didn't even my skin out at all. My skin looked blotchy--emphasized my pores. Didn't blend well. Smeared and irritated my skin (and it's not that sensitive either). Seemed too thin.

Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation
WendyW 3/28/2009 8:11:00 AM
I'm not sure if I would buy this again or not. I'm leaning more to yes, than no. I bought this because my Stila Illuminating Foundation seemed to dewy for the warmer months approaching. I've read so many wonderful reviews about Laura Mercier's Oil Free Foundation that I thought I'd give it a try. It's expensive at $42 bucks, but I'm willing to pay more for foundation than for other color makeup. The staying power is nice, but I think in really hot weather it could still be a problem (it's Spring now). I also agree with a past reviewer that your skin can look a bit dull and one dimensional with this foundation. I've noticed that in spots it looks to just sit on the skin instead of blend well. It will emphasize dry flakey spots, so you need to exfoliate. I found a solution by mixing a little bit of Stila's Illuminating Foundation with the LM and it gives a softer three dimensional look. LM does not emphasize pores which is very nice. I've tried using a primer under just the LM, but it didn't really help. I did need to blot during the day. I love the pump bottle. My cap has not broken or cracked, but I haven't traveled with it yet. It does wash off completely. Even though I liked Estee Lauder's Double Wear, it was difficult to wash off each day. Edit: It does streak and it's difficult to blend. It can look mask like too. Didn't break me out, but I still think I like the Stila better.

Liquid -Stila - Illuminating Liquid Foundation
WendyW 3/28/2009 8:01:00 AM
I stated that I would buy again because it did help me out during a dry skin winter months, but it's not a summer foundation. It's just too dewy and slick to be a summertime foundation for my skin. What I've been doing now that it's Spring is mixing a little of Stila with my Laura Mercier Oil-free foundation. Now I get the slightlly dewy look, but with more staying power and coverage. I love the pump bottle, but my cap did crack. I love the shades since I like colors that a bit more yellow to neutralize my slightly ruddy complexion. I have gotten compliments on my skin while wearing this, hence the 4 lippies.

Moisturizers -Boscia - Recharging Night Moisture
WendyW 3/22/2009 8:21:00 AM
Got this as a sample at Sephora. I was skeptical, but tried it just around my eyes at night. Wow! I woke up for the first time in a long time without puffy eyes. My skin felt smooth and soft. This product was not greasy on my at all. I used just a tiny bit. It sunk right in, to the point the I wondered what good it was at a moisturizer. Now I'm wondering if I'm sensitive to the parabens and chemicals in the other products I use since Boscia worked so well so quickly. Good thinking for the samples, because they have a convert now.

Lip Gloss -Fusion Beauty - Lipfusion Plump + Replump Liquid Lipstick
WendyW 3/22/2009 8:16:00 AM
Like the othe reviewer mentioned, this product is super expensive for what you're getting. I've had Physician Formula lipgloss do about the same thing, but for $6 versus $38. However, Fusion has so many color options and also a lot aren't frosty which I like. I have Nude and Healthy (be careful since Beauty is a lot darker than Healthy). I do see a difference with the fullness of my lips. This is truly a liquid lipstick and not a lipgloss since the color are very pigmented and true. They really don't go on sheer which I like. Be careful with the tube. If you don't put the two arrows together, the product leaks out. I really love the staying power of this. Think of this product as a lipstick, not a gloss.

Lip Gloss -Fusion Beauty - Lip Fusion Plump & Replump - Beauty
WendyW 3/22/2009 8:11:00 AM
Like the product, but the color was very dark. Typically when you purchase lip gloss the color is very sheer. However, with Beauty it still is very pigmented on your lips. The color and gloss lasts longer than most lipglosses. If you're looking for an alternative to a red lipstick, this is it. It does have a bit of warmth and coral to it.
