Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste - Mirage (Rose Bronze)

I looooved this blush when I first got it. The packaging, the softness of the powder, the pigmentation, and the scent -- all wonderful. But this is NOT a rose bronze. I see no bronze, a little gold shimmer but that's it. And on my tan skin, pink is not my favorite color.

This tan-based brass gold looks good on my tan skin and brown eyes. I take lippies off because 1) these dry out so fast and 2) this can be a little brown in places if I don't blend really well.

Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - Powder/Blush Brush
rated 2 of 5

This brush is insanely overpriced, and is so hard to use imo. The size is so big -- I can't use it for blush, bronzer comes out too densely with it and I don't use powder. LOL at boomgurl's description of how it felt like using a 'cat's tail' on her face. The bristles are soft but no more than my other brushes.

Fragrances -Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle

I love this fragrance. I use it for work, going out, etc -- it's not too musky, heavy, floral, fruity -- just fresh, slightly zesty and sexy. The bottle/ liquid is such a pretty peach champagne color; it reminds me of bellinis ;)

Great for washing my brushes. It also doesn't dry out the hairs, or leave residue behind. And who can resist that scent? ;)

Eyeliner -Lancome - Le Crayon Kohl - Black Ebony

Before UD zero, before blacktrack, etc this was my #1 e/l for a while. Now I only go to it if I'm running low on the others or if i can't find them. It's a nice black that goes on smoothly but it fades by the end of the day tho.

Aurelie did a great job describing this color. The texture is fantastic and really melts into the skin. Even my mom commented on how natural this shade looks on my NC40 skin. I recommend it for all warm toned ladies out there ;)

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead Degradé
rated 4 of 5
UrbanHibiscus 1/28/2009 12:30:00 PM

Why can't all MSF's be like this? no chunky glitter, finely milled and soft to the touch. The color ranges from pink to a peachy-gold and is pretty on top of bronzer. I take one lippie off because of the gradient factor, which while is pretty can give me different colors every time I use it. Also, it *can* be a touch frosty.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Tan

Bronzey shades that don't have prominent red undertones are oddly hard to find. This shade is really pretty -- a bronze with a little gold shimmer and pinkish tan base that works on my tanned skin. Even my SO commented on it ;p And like always, these pigments last forever.

Highlighters -Becca - Pressed Shimmer powder Odette

Becca has amazing shimmer products-- finely milled and not OTT. This bronzy-gold color looks amazing over bronzer or peachy blushes, or if you just want to add some depth to a non-glowy blush. try it out.

Eye Shadow -Shu Uemura - ME Silver 945 [DISCONTINUED]

A very very popular product for many ladies on MUA. I am not totally sold on the color as it can be a little too cool on my NC40 skin. The texture -- wow, the texture -- is a buttery, pigmented dream. The packaging is so blah -- plastic cases, really? I'll have to see if i can still make it work as the color itself is stunning.

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis Nail Colour in Vamp #18

I have had and repurchased this nailpolish for years now. It is the original vampy dark plummy color imo. Great, shiny finish and just looks so sexy.

Highlighters -Becca - Hyawatha Loose Shimmer Powder

I got this a while ago and I've since tried to make it work on my tanned, olive skin but it's just too ashy looking on me. Gorgeous color in the pot, and great quality -- would look amazing on lighter, more neutral gals.

I use this warm gold to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and it works well on my NC40 skin. I take one lippie off for the packaging, because i always think it's going to spill. I'm thinking of mixing it with moisturizer to use on arms, legs for nights out.

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Black Violet kohl pencil
rated 4 of 5
UrbanHibiscus 1/25/2009 12:51:00 PM

Love this color on my brown eyes. Like a black but with a *hint* blue-ish purple that just adds a little bit of interest. Great smooth application; I'm taking one lippie off because it smudges very easily and doesn't last as long as i would like.
