Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation SPF 15
Tindra78 11/12/2012 2:04:00 PM
I like this!! Strangely enough this runny and thin liquid conceals pores quite well! It's extremely thin, and very very light in coverage...its almost like a tinted daycream... But it leaves a fresh glow/sheen, and conceals pores... As I get older I've realized that to dry products like my favorite Everyday minerals actually can make lines look even worse...even if I have oily skin!! Yes this is a problem cause my skin is acne prone, but dry on the surface cause of all the treatment... Now, this color is not completely my perfect match. I have this in a large sample of Sand, 02. BB's products are all very yellow toned, and I'm really pinkish/white...so, I'd like to mix it, but that would be expensive....to buy two bottles. So the color is a problem. The formula then, is so thin and feels moisturizing, that it slightly slides off my oily skin during a day of work... But this is only cause it is a formula that is not dry/mattifying....(those ones usually stay on, but are more "dry"). So you'll need to powder and blot if you are oily like me!! Coverage is extremely light, and is not enough if you have acne/scars. Overall I like this. But ill need to solve the problems above if I should buy two bottles.... UPDATE 20th november 2012: Started getting large awful cystic breakouts on the areas where I tried this. I haven't had such awful and badly infected acne-breakouts for a while, so I suspect this foundation... I'm not completely sure, cause I also tried out a new moisturizer during these days, the Obagi Nu Derm shield spf 50, but that one is said to be really, really acne-safe.... But as said, right now I have to heal those breakouts and the scars, so ill have to wait with more experimenting with this foundation.... One lippie off, cause I suspect this..... :(

Concealers -Christian Dior - Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen-002 Candlelight
Tindra78 11/11/2012 5:58:00 PM
This is a little peachy, gives a sheen and does not cover too much... To me, this is almost like a cream without any coverage...some kind of illuminator..? BUT it is not illuminating enough to act as such a one either... In that way this is something in between... I suppose this is enough for those with better skintypes, I have quite dark undereye circles, that I wanted to hide... And the other areas I sometimes need to hide are blemishes...and both these two areas need more pigmented coverage... I could use this as a illuminator, but this gives sooo little sheen, that I'd rather buy a highlighter then.... I do like the shade though, it melts in and is quite neutral. Compared to Clinique Airbrush concealer this one is less covering and more sheen, with a little more pink in the color...

I'm looking for a undereye concealer, and have this in 004. I have really blue/purple/red circles under/around my eyes... This is too drying to use all around the eyes, I can use it in the inner corners but not "all over" where i need too, cause it's too dry and enhaces the lines in the outside of the eye area (where I also would like to wear it sometimes... But the color is nice, neutral and the coverage is good if you like to cover just a little...but it's not completely enough for my circles though... I need something that's a little more pigmented, but still not dry...hmm... Compared to Diors Skinflash in 002, this is more neutral in the tone (more yellow, Skinflash is more peachy), more matte but with a little more coverage. I still think this is a nice concealer, but I don't know if it's suitable for "everywhere"...especially if you've started to have lines...

I was looking for a really pigmented concealer for my undereye area, and this looked less pinkish than a few other brands in the store...so I tried it in the lightest shade, nr 01. But it was far too fair even on my winter-pale skin....I'm really, really pale, but this concealer becomes white on the skin... It's thick and covers, but its hard to find a good shade, and expensive to buy two ones only to try to mix them every morning.... It also has a very, very dry and matte consistency, which makes it hard to use it "as a highlight above your upper lip" ( I have some foundations and concealers that can serve as that) or to highlight other areas. But this is impossible, cause it seems to be ment for maybe covering spots if you find the right shade... It's really sad that clarins doesn't sell these concealers in more shades than 3!!

Primer/ Corrector -Clarins - Instant Light Complexion Perfector
Tindra78 11/5/2012 2:56:00 PM
My skin: acne-prone, enlarged pores, some thin lines have started to develop, but still very oily on the t-zone, and sensitive! I have such a trouble skin, that it's hard to find products that work. With this i wanted to get some highlight effect, with a skin-friendly brand as Clarins... I hoped that this would be more secure to try than ordinary makeup-brands' creamy highlighters (cause i'm scared of breakouts..). So to the product; It goes on extremely thin, dewy and leaves a slightly healthy shiny look on your face... I tried this around the mouth and eyes and some on my chin...It looks like a really mild enhacer/moisturizer with a little highlight,.. But i think it doesn't highlight mouch enough... Also it contains different colours of the highlighting pigments, which i think it should, but the gold ones are a lillte too many in my taste.... I have extremely pale, white and cool, cool skin...so the goldish pigments made me look a little "dirty"...and some set into my (enlarged) pores and made them look "sparkly"... SO, i wouldn't recommend this to someone really, really pale with cool skintone, that have trouble with enlarged pores. This is too "warm" and a little "sparkly".... UPDATE 11 december 2012; I have tried this on and off in different ways and on different areas now. I'v found that the "gold" does not appear that "warm" as i was afraid of.... And if I only put it around my eyes/above the chhekbone (and not on enlarged pores) this gives a well rested and brightened look to the eyes.... This is far from enough covering my undereye circles (that are blue and red!) BUT this gives a nice base for the concealer... I tried this with the Light Perfecting Touch Pen (the red highlighteing pen by Clarins) today, and even if this isn't a real concealer either, this gave a really nice soft "glow"....

I like this!! It does not make thé hair heavy, smells really nice and fresh and is really of good quality, concentrated! I bought this with the conditioner in the same line cause they have discontinued my old favourite John Frieda Luxurious volume here.... I have REALLY, really, thin fine hair, that usually is extremely flat and "oily".... Yes, I'd repurchase... :)

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
Tindra78 11/4/2012 1:20:00 PM
This is nothing special... I was looking for a new foundation, cause I only wanted to try something new.... But I wanted it to even out the skintone and cover enlarged pores. This didn't do the job more than my Everyday Minerals matte foundation, and my old favourite from Vichy. Instead it covered the pores less better!! I usually use the Vichy on the pores, and that foundation still is the best one to hide them!! The color 010 is a little pinkish-white in the tone, but the next step 020 is too dark and looks "dirty" in strong light...I guess I'd need to mix these two....I'd also like the 010 to be just a little more neutral in the tone...not pinkish.... It would be expensive to buy two bottles of this, when you don't find it much much better than other foundations.... But I think there are better foundations out there, especially for us with acne prone skin.... So I won't repurchase... Update: 16 nov 2012. I've continued experimenting with this, and have been mixing those two shades and wore it at the work... My skin is quite problematic, acne-prone, but still often flaky and dry cause of all my acne-products - its unbalanced in other words. The nude foundation "cracked" and accentuated these flaws... On my chin it literally cracked in small pieces...awful... So I don't know if it is that the foundation is too dry or if it was my skin....but this doesn't happen with the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation.... Hmmm...

Liquid -Clinique - Even Better Makeup SPF 15
Tindra78 11/4/2012 1:02:00 PM
This is nothing special! I have enlarged pores, and this didn't hide them as good as my old Vichy foundation (see my reviews) wich I have used for years at the problem areas. On other areas at the face I mostly use everyday minerals, to cover acne and old scars... That foundation (the E.M.) contains maybe 70% less ingredients than this one.... I don't think that this foundation looks better than my other ones, even if it has a thin, dewy look....it doesn't cover my main problems wich are thé pores.... It's also a little shiny, wich is ok on some areas, but can become a problem if you're quite oily like me.... So won't repurchase....

Sunscreen -EltaMD - UV Clear SPF 46
Tindra78 10/12/2012 4:34:00 PM
I have only used this for one day, but ill update during the time. Right now I want to give my first impression. I was looking for something that 1) does not break me out, 2) feels extremely light and fresh in the face, 3) gives me a matte/non-greasy look, 4) works well with makeup and is NOT waterproof. I already know that some silicones and heavier ingredients break me out. Most of the sunscreens I've tried also broke me out! But cause I have a lot of hyperpigmentation (and acne) I have to find a daily sunscreen. Dermatologists have told me that products that are waterproof easier clog pores! So let's try this! First impression: - extremely lightweight, melts into the skin and disappears within seconds from your hands.... - you can see traces of the white cast, you can se that it contains Zink....but it disappears more and more after a few minutes.. - leaves a little shine, but NOT a greasy feeling. So I had to powder a little more... Yet haven't found out if thé makeup goes away faster with this, but ill update... - the feeling is little tight/dry in the face, this is not too moisturizing... But I could solve that if this does not break me out.... I'll update again .... UPDATE 18th October, 2012: I got a small breakout the first four days, maybe cause of the niacinamide...maybe 5-7 more pimples than normally. But since then I haven't developed new ones in the same way... No new breakouts caused by this, at least, seems like... I think that this can become a little too shiny/sheer to be able to wear it without powder though...but I can live with that as long as it doesn't break me out, and I can use it daily.... It's also too dry to use around the eyes, ill need to find something else for that area. It's also too drying to be used alone around the mouth... I think ill try the Elta Daily spf 40 on those areas....ill try to order it..... So far: highly recommend for us with acne!!! Five lippies!! UPDATE 9th november, 2012: STILL NO BUMPS!!!!! No clogged pores, no breakouts!! Completely amazing, this is the FIRST sunscreen that hasn't given me acne!! Instead my face almost looks clearer with this than before (or feels better - it's at least not worse with the acne). This is completely adorable, and I'd give it 500 lippies if I could!! At last I have found something that is lightweight, water-soluable, high spf, does not clog pores and comfortable enough to wear daily under makeup!!! Try it!!!!! :D Update 6th of April 2013: During the last 3 years I've been studying, and I started working again now in the middle of mars. The office is hot and there is a lit to do, and I usually work 8-9 hours a day.... I need my makeup to STAY where I put it, at least for a few hours! Unfortunately my makeup really "melts away", slides off, with the elta sunscreen. I just can't touch up every hour, I have no time!! SO right now I'm on the hunt of a "drier" /more matte daily sunscreen that doesn't break me out. That will be hard cause I easily break out by some silicones.... So I have no idea right now.... This is of course still a 5 lippies product, but only a little too shiny for me during really long, hot days at the office. Either I'll try to mix it with something or to find another product for the work.

Sunscreen -Kiehls - Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50 PA+++
Tindra78 7/29/2012 3:09:00 PM
I have really, really sensitive acne-prone skin, and I break out from everything... I was looking for a daily moisturizer with sunscreen cause I've also started to develop hyperpigmentation. But this feels thick in the face...it feels like a old fashioned sunscreen and leaves a thick layer that you can feel with your fingers...its not refining at all, and not mattifying.... Cause I have really uneven skin, with enlarged pores and other old acne scars( some are deep), this only accentured the "bad side" of my skin.... I wanted to like this, but its a little too thick for extremely oily skin I guess.... It seems to contain some silicones, but they don't seem to have the refining effect..... They say that the difference between spf 15, 30 and 50 actually is only 4-7 %, so ill maybe try some other moisturizer with less spf in it....cause I don't know if its that...that makes it feel so thick... Won't repurchase..... But this might suit normal or dry skintypes...

Sunscreen -Vichy - Capital Soleil SPF 30 Face Emulsion Dry Touch
Tindra78 7/17/2012 1:47:00 PM
I have very sensitive acne prone skin. I have been looking for sunscreen that leaves the skin matt, yet protected and hydrated... This is only matte and protecting... Cause this is really, really drying!! I can't smile while wearing this, and I can absolutely not put it close to the eyes or mouth.... This reminds me of a mattifyer more, and those ones goes best on the t-zone... My skin turns red and irritated by the dryness.... I'll try to wear it with a moisturizer underneath, but my esthetician has told me to try to keep my skincare with as less layers as possible: not two layers of creams, and than makeup... In the end it becomes 4 layers with stuff... So I would prefer a sunscreen that moisture a little more cause I'm scared of putting many layers on my face.... Pros: * Mattifying * No white cast * No strikes, or any sunscreen look * Quite overcoming price * High spf (even if I'd prefer higher, the difference between spf 30 and 50 seems to be only 2-4%..) Cons: * Extremely drying * Causes irritation and redness * Accentures lines when put around eyes and mouth, impossible to wear all over the face (in my opinion). This is more matte but also more drying than the avene cleanance spf 30. I hate to feel this tight feeling, so in that way I'd choose avene..(even if it gives a greasy look). This cause I want to minimize the number of layers of creams put on my face, as my esthetician adviced me..... Update: 12-07-22: Broke me out like hell!! I wore this for a few days, all day long, went exercising with it and used it as a ordinary daycream.... Then I discovered that my whole face was covered with bumps, that developed to pimples! Soooo sad.... I would have liked to keep this and mix it with some other cream cause it really was mattifying... A esthetician told me that sometimes acne skin have hard to tolerate water resistent products, cause they "lock up" the skin, block the pores, and they are usually harder to remove... Even if I used scrub in the night this seemed to cause me acne... Maybe it was the water resistent formulation? Maybe all the silicones? I don't know but I'm tired of searching for something with spf that doesn't break me out.... :-(

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil spf 25
Tindra78 7/14/2012 9:41:00 AM
I have extremely sensitive and very acne prone skin... I have really really hard finding a good sunscreen... This powder contains silica, and I guess thats what makes it feel so drying....cause that's one of the problems with this: it makes my skin feel tight! It does not itch, but just feel too drying! I usually wear the ordinary mineral veil daily, but this is not even close to that one... It looks chalky and becomes gunky after a while and during the day... As some mentioned below, make sure to view it in different lights and throughout the day, to be able to decide if you like it... It also settles into fine lines - I can't wear this around my mouth or around eyes, cause it just feels tight in the start and after a while it have accentured the lines.... :-( It does not mattify like the ordinary mineral veil, more than maybe for the first houre after application.... So.... I'll have to keep on looking for a sunscreen....

Sunscreen -Biore - UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+
Tindra78 7/13/2012 7:51:00 AM
This is a very "watery" liquid sunscreen that feels extremely slippery, but melts into the skin and leaves a perfect finish for the day, in the short run. But now I've used it for one week and discovered new bumps on my chin and around the mouth, where I usually never get acne!! And this even if I've been extremely aware of cleansing in the night, I have really taken it away...and washed the face twice.... Pros: - mattifying - primer-effect - refines the skin and pores in a amazing way - claims high spf Cons: - loaded with silicones - not too broadspectrum, the uva A protection is very poor. UVA is important cause of the ageing effects... - small bottle - seems like it gives me clogged pores... :( Wont repurchase.....

Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Uber Dry Sunscreen SPF 30
Tindra78 7/4/2012 5:31:00 AM
This is hard! I have used this for 4-5 days. This leaves a completely adorable finish, compared to many many sunscreens!!! My face actually stayed matte until lunchtime, which I haven't experienced even with ordinary matte-moisturizers! I have really, really oily acne prone skin!!! It does not leave any white cast, ANY greasyness, any shine!! It is like a wonderful primer, cause it keeps the makeup at place... When you touch the face it feels almost more clean than without anything on it!!! It's a little hard to spread, its a thick cream... Now to the problem: yesterday I discovered many new small bumps on my face...small ones everywhere... But in a few days I'm going to have my period, so it might be that? Or something I've ate? Hmmm.... But this made me extremely scared: I have so hard to find a sunscreen that doesn't break me out and doesn't make me look lite a greaseball, so I really HOPE this will wodrk.... But right now ill have to wait a few days until the period is over, and than try it again.... Update: Now i have used this daily for over a week. There were actually no bumps much more than I usually get and that you can't remove with some scrub... BUT, my face have felt tight and have been red / itchy during the days, I guess that it is cause this is a little dry and there is not much moisture in it.... It also feels a bit thick to put on in the morning, its really hard to spread... Ok, ill update about it again... UPDATE 10th october 2012; I heard that this isn´t photostable, so during the summer and vacation I looked for another sunscreen... But I still haven't found any that is both cosmetically ok, not greasy and does not break me out. I went to the dermatologist for my hyperpigmentation, and she said that i HAVE TO use sunscreen with at least spf 30 DAILY even if it's winter over here.... So now I've used this one again for maybe 2 weeks... Strangely it still doesn't break me out!! It keeps the skin really matte and the makeup at place!! The only thing is that it can become a little dry it I don't use moisturizer under it, and its hard to use around eyes and mouth (cause of fine lines and dryness on that areas). I'll try to find a sunscreen separately for eyes and mouth cause this one is really good under makeup!! :) Update 9th november 2012: I tried the Elta MD Clear spf 46, and liked it more than this sunscreen. This one is more drying, waterresistent, and thicker than the Elta MD. I prefer the very lightweight kind of sunscreen for everyday use, especially cause you usually wear makeup daily... The other con with this is the discussion about the photostability.... SO: I'm taking one lippie off on this one cause if you COMPARE it to for example Elta MD, it gets a lower rating... Still it's a nice sunscreen for us with acne-prone skin....if you haven't find anything that works....

Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Instant Mineral SPF 30
Tindra78 6/21/2012 3:47:00 PM
Well.... I'm really, really pale and cool in my skin...my skin is almost completely white....BUT, this stuff is ORANGE!!!!!! On my skin this is orange!! Some kind of brownish orange colour, that is DARKER than my skin....this looks horrible, I can't walk out like this.... :-( It takes time to get the summertan, and i won't be able to use this until than because it's darker ....but than I won't be able to use it because it has a WARM tone!!! Warm! My skin is cool, cool.... Oooh, I'm soo disappointed...I had sooo high expectations on this.... Well, the colour is a disaster. But the "formula" is ok, even if its extremely finely milled so it flyes everywhere when you open the lid.... On the skin it is matte in the start, but becomes oily after a while, so it does not work like a powder just because it looks like one... I have only used it for 3 days, and havent had it in strong sun yet... I have to find out how to solve the colour-problem, otherways i'll have to use this only on my body (or give it away/sell it). I guess i won't repurchase until PTR makes a lighter shade for us really pale ones here in the north (Sweden).... :-(
