Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper-Waterproof
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:37:00 PM
I can't believe I didn't stock up on this mascara before it was discontinued! I bought this when I heard MF was going to be taken out of the US, but didn't think to buy another one. This is my ultimate HG mascara for my short, thin, straight, stubborn, and sparse asian lashes. If I curl my lashes, I can build them up to literally look like falsies, and I've never been able to say that out of the 20+ mascaras I've tried. It lengthens so much, and volumizes at different levels depending on how much I 'wiggle' the wand through my lashes. It also is an extremely black color that looks dramatic, even on my black lashes. The curl also lasts all day without drooping one bit! With my very oily skin, even WP mascaras will smudge on me, but this doesn't smudge AT ALL, and it truly is waterproof. I can cry and this doesn't go anywhere, and even then, the curl still stays upright. At first I had trouble removing this, but with Lumene's makeup remover, it glides off. If i cant find this anywhere, I'm going to stock up!

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Ginger Mentha Lip Shine
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:31:00 PM
I absolutely love this gloss. When swatched, it's a light gold with gold shimmer, but on the lips, it just has a gold shimmer and my pigmented lips look a little warmer. The scent is a very wintery, but soothing scent to me. It smells just like mint with some spiciness in it because of the ginger. The first time I wore this, I was out having a special day with some friends, and everytime I smell this, it triggers that memory. I suspect this is also because this is such a unique scent. On the lips, it's very moisturizing, just like all the other mentha products. I would rate this a 4.5 if I could, because it can sometimes feel a little gritty, but it's only sometimes so I just rounded it up to 5 lippies. I absolutely love this gloss! I thought it was a holiday only item, but I saw it again this week in their regular packaging so I'm happy that i can repurchase if I run out.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Rich & Ripe
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:26:00 PM
MAC's Cult of Cherry collection was my favorite collection ever released, but I didn't buy many items from it when it first came out since I was only wearing eyeshadows and light pink lip glosses during that period. Now that I wear more makeup, I want everything from that line so I went to CCO's to hunt down the items. I found this and I'm completely in love with it.It's a plummy red that has more pink than purple - reminds me of raspberry jam - and it has a really pretty red and blue shimmer in it. It's a really unique gloss because of the blue shimmer. It's also one of the most pigmented lipglasses I own. It doesn't look too red on my pigmented lips, and it's really flattering on my NC35 skin tone. I almost never wear reds, but I find that I still wear this pretty often. It's not too bright or dark, and I don't even know how to describe how pretty it is. I want to go and pick up some backups of this!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop - Energizing Melon
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:21:00 PM
I got this at a TJ Maxx a couple years ago. It's a beautiful hot pink with some gold duochrome. It's extremely bright and out of my comfort zone, but I love it anyway. It feels cooling on my lips and it's really pigmented - it's the perfect summer color. It looks great on my NC35 lips, and it's really unique because of the golden sheen. It's a little on the sticky side, but I don't mind since it lasts for so long-about three or even four hours without reapplying. It also smells like a fresh berry and it's really refreshing!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Honey Violet
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:17:00 PM
I don't usually wear dark vampy colors like this, but my boyfriends mom gave a few JT to me as a gift, so I ventured away from my comfort zone of pinky nudes and baby pinks. This is a really gorgeous color that can go on either sheer or opaque on the lips. It also has a gold shimmer that looks really pretty. I actually found myself reaching for this pretty often during the winter, and I didn't get any weird looks or comments from people at my school, but I wore it pretty sheerly. I'm NC30-35 for reference. I also like to wear this over a nude lipstick sometimes to dampen the color a little bit. It has a scent that's pretty strong-it's like a mix between a floral and a honey scent. It's not my favorite, but it doesn't bother me either. Also, these are a little sticky, like all JT's, but it just helps the lasting power so I don't mind.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy tubes tickled pink
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:07:00 PM
I have four JT, and this is definitely my favorite one. It goes with everything because of the natural pink-mauve color. It's definitely a great MLBB gloss! I also love that is has no shimmer since it looks more natural. The formula is very very shiny and a little bit sticky, but I don't really mind it since it lasts for a really long time. It has a light honey scent that also smells quite floral. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it doesn't bother me too much either. I love this lip gloss and I use it pretty often!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Exquisite Juicy Tubes
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 9:00:00 PM
This is a really pretty opaque creamy purplish berry color. I really love that is has no shimmer. On my pigmented lips, it's extremely opaque, even if I only put on a little, and the color looks stunning on my NC35 skin. It's a stand out color without being too bright. It is a little bit sticky, but it's not something that really bothers me since this gloss lasts a long time. It has a light honey smell that mixed with a floral scent; it's not my favorite smell but it's also not unpleasant either. I would buy this again!

Eye Shadow -ModelCo - Colour Box Eyeshadow Single
SteffStarrr 7/12/2010 7:51:00 PM
I bought these a few months ago at marshalls for about $4. I bout the. In positano11 and Ibiza 13. Positano is a teal with gold shimmer and ibiza is a really dark eggplant color that doesn't have too mch shimmer. Both shades are very silky and smooth. The pigmentation is pretty good, not completely opaque, but they're not really sheer either. I don't reach for these shades too much, but for the price, they're great shadows and o have nothing to complain about. I dot think I would buy these at full price though.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Disco Blend Superglass
SteffStarrr 7/11/2010 11:26:00 PM
I was a little weary of the Superglasses when they came out, but I actually quite like them. The glittery chunks weren't as scary and juvenile looking as I first imagined they would be. Although they're noticeable, they're not obvious unless you stand close to my lips, which is a good thing since I have full lips and any glitter or shimmer shows up. I like that this contains more gloss than the Dazzleglasses since they're the same price, but it still contains a little bit less than the lipglasses. These glosses are pretty thick, but I don't find them as sticky as Dazzleglasses, which can sometimes make me feel like my lips are glued together. It's a really nice consistancy and these glosses last about 3 hours on me. Disco Blend is a really pretty tan shade that goes on pretty sheerly, and it has some really unique copper glitter. I love layering this over Dressmaker, Dressmaker lipstick and have actually received quite a few compliments on this combination. Overall, I would buy these glosses again as they are pretty nice glosses that don't look weird on the lips. MAC could have made this a disastrous product, but it turned out to be pretty nice.

Lipstick -MAC - Dressmaker, Dressmaker
SteffStarrr 7/11/2010 11:20:00 PM
This is a gorgeous light peach color on me. It looks incredibly natural on my NC35 skin, and it really goes with everything. It's a lustre formula, so it doesn't last too long, but it's really moisturizing on my dry lips. It's pretty sheer, but it's really easy to build it up to an opaque shade. I wear this shade all the time, and I'm a little sad that I didn't get a backup. I will for sure if I see this at a CCO.

Powder -Physicians Formula - Healthy Wear SPF 50 Powder Foundation
SteffStarrr 7/10/2010 10:59:00 PM
I think that this is mostly a really great product. The color selection is horrid, as is with most PF products, but Creamy Beige is a pretty good match for my NC30-35 skin. If I layer a lot of it on, you can see that it's a little too pink for more asian skin, but I usually don't wear that much. Now that I'm tanner, this is also a little too light and I have to darken it with bronzer. However, I really love the coverage of this foundation. I use Sonia Kashuk's flat top brush or a kabuki, and it covers a lot of my redness and evens out my skin tone. It's not enough to cover up my acne, but it has a good coverage anyway. The SPF is also really nice. It's great if I don't have the time to wait for my sun screen to soak in in the morning. Since i have very oily skin, I really like the matte finish of this foundation. However, it doesn't last for long. I only stay matte for about three hours before I start getting oily again. This is kind of disappointing since I heard raves about this keeping oilies at bay for hours. Still, it's a good foundation for the SPF and the convenience, and unless I find something better, I would buy it again.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Bronze Gems Matte and Bright Bronzer in Bronzer
SteffStarrr 7/10/2010 10:33:00 PM
Physician's Formula is one of my favorite brands for bronzers, and this is no exception. I love the matte part of this bronzer since it isn't orange or muddy at all and it gives me a really tanned look for my NC35 complexion. I don't really use the shimmer part since it's really chalky and unpigmented, and I took off one lippie for that. This has never broken me out, like all my other PF products. It's a really good bronzer that's really pigmented, but really buildable. Another negative though, it the packaging. After 2+ years of using this almost daily, the hinge has broken, and the lid won't stay closed so I have to keep it upright and on a flat surface. I really love this product though, and I would repurchase!

Lipstick -Hard Candy - Fire Alarm
SteffStarrr 7/10/2010 10:18:00 PM
This is an extremely pale nude with a pretty significant pink undertone. On my NC35 skin, it's a little too pale and corpse looking unless I layer a gloss on top of it. However, I love the formula of this lipstick. It's incredibly creamy and moisturizing, and it looks extremely shiny on the lips. It can be layered, so when I wear this, I only wear a light layer. If you apply to many layers of this though, it starts becoming uneven. Overall though, I'm really impressed with this lipstick and even though I have to work with it to make it work with me, I would still rebuy it again.

Lipstick -Revlon - Moon Drops Creme - Blase Apricot 702
SteffStarrr 7/10/2010 10:07:00 PM
This was my first lipstick ever, and it's a really bright coral color, the exact lipstick version of the Coral Reef lipgloss. It's a cream finish, which I really love. This is a really flattering coral shade on my NC35 complexion, and I love replacing this with a red lipstick on the classic pin up girl look with the winged liner. I always get tons of compliments when I wear this, and the pigmentation is true to what the color is in the tube, which is a huge plus for me since I have pretty pigmented lips. This also doesn't dry me out at all, and it lasts a couple hours, which is nice. The only negative would be that classic lipstick smell that may annoy some people, but it fades after a few minutes for me. This is a pretty nice lipstick, even for me, since I usually only wear pale/nude colors.

Lipstick -Revlon - Pink in the Afternoon
SteffStarrr 7/10/2010 9:59:00 PM
This was one my first lipsticks ever, and it's still a favorite. It's a pretty pinky coraly color that's extremely flattering on my NC35 skin tone. It can brighten up my whole face and give me the classic pink lip, even with my pigmented lips. This lipstick has no shimmer, but it has a shine, which I love. It's also really moisturizing, which is really important since I have dry lips. The pigmentation and creamyness is also really nice since it goes on opaque and doesn't feel heavy or dry at all. It lasts for a few hours, and fades really evenly. Even if I have flaky lips, this doesn't accentuate the flakiness, which is another plus. Overall, I love everything about this lipstick!
