Blush -Mary Kay - Island Spice Duet
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:25:00 AM
A great summer duo and small and compact for toting around. A great bronzer and a bright peachy coral blush with a nice sheen - this blush is a great dupe for Mac's Style blush (frosty orange) but is a tad more wearable. The bronzer is a bit dark on me to be honest but I am super fair so just use a light hand and it is fine I am sure it would be amazing on darker skin tones - the blush as well.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Duo Eye Shadows all shades
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:22:00 AM
I have this in Nudes and they are incredible - well pigmented and perfectly neutral slightly peachy toned browns which work so well on my fair skin with yellow undertones. The packaging is very 1980's as is the marble pattern pressed into the shadow but who cares it is a sturdy package with an excellent mirror underneath - the brush underneath is useless for shadows but girls take it out and try it for cream liner - it's amazing. Loved them so much I bought a back-up.

Mascara -Boots - No7 Extreme Length Mascara
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:20:00 AM
This mascara gives incredible length however for me I only require volume as I have quite long lashes to start with - this makes them touch my eyebrows! I will rate it highly though as it definitely does what it says.

Blush -L'Oreal - Magic Souffle Blush
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:18:00 AM
I have this in Angelic and it is the most gorgeous shade of pale warm apricot with just a touch of pink. Looks amazing on my super fair but yellow toned skin. I don't have any problem with this balling up as I find I hardly have to apply any of this for excellent pigmentation and I don't find it enhances pores or dryness maybe I am one of the lucky few. Also no sparkles or glitter here it's super matte. Love it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Candy Apple
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:15:00 AM
An excellent sheer but buildable shade of orangey red. The only let-down would be for those with yellow teeth as this could enhance the yellowness so perhaps try before you buy. But all in all a great lip product just like the Red Velvet for those who are scared to try a red lip - makes it a whole lot more wearable.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Crystal Baby
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:13:00 AM
The formula of this lipstick is pure luxury. The most gorgeous pale pinky peachy nude - a pink that even I can wear. Just the right amount of super fine gold shimmer. I believe this would be flattering on any skintone.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:11:00 AM
A great Shroom dupe in here and all three shades are excellent quality and pigmentation - wasnt so sure of the bronzey shade but it has grown on me - it is quite a tan bronze. This is worth the money just for the highlight shade alone. The pinky peach is worth having. All three make a classic eye look paired with some black liner.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Le Gloss
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:08:00 AM
I have this in Really Rose - texture smell and shade wise it is pretty spot on to Maybelline Shine sensational in Totally Toffee though this is a tad peachier and more wearable on me. Good for a natural look non sticky but wears off incredibly fast nothing to rave about here. Packaging looks fancy but don't expect too much.

Blush -Rimmel - Mauve Cool
Shanplum 10/23/2012 2:06:00 AM
This should be called - pinky apricot - it is not mauve and I love it - a great peachy/pinky/apricotty blush with a bit of a sheen (but no glitter) a great cheapy blush for a healthy glow if you don't mind the sheen - very pigmented for the price.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Duo - Satin Taupe
Shanplum 9/30/2012 7:58:00 PM
This is the original Satin taupe dupe in name and colouring but the bonus is you get a beautiful neutral pinky brown earthtone shadow in this set also. A great duo. shame they don't make these anymore. If you find one make sure to pick it up

Highlighters -Mary Kay - Mineral highlighting powder: Pink stardust
Shanplum 9/30/2012 7:57:00 PM
This is the perfect highlighter for fair skintones if you are a NW/NC10 to 20 this will look amazing. Also usually all mineral products break me out like crazy but this doesnt so I doubt the mineral claims but doesnt worry me in the slightest. Mine broke but i emptied it into a jar and shake it up to get a good combo of the pink and white. Super highlighter without looking sparkly or glittery.

Cleansers -Avon - Care Soothing Cold Cream Cleanser
Shanplum 9/27/2012 12:12:00 AM
This is a fabulous product at a great price. Super moisturising and truly whips away all your makeup in a couple of sweeps including waterproof mascara. Give yourself a bit of a facial massage then remove with a warm wash cloth and you will have the most smooth and radiant skin. I think for oiler skins than mine this might be too rich or you could skip a moisturiser altogether, though I like to use a toner and as I have dry skin I apply a thick night cream over this to lock in the moisture. Glad they have brought this back as in NZ it is very hard to find a generic cold cream - ponds is no longer available here.

Treatments -Schwarzkopf - Gliss Daily Oil Elixir
Shanplum 9/25/2012 10:32:00 PM
In NZ this is called "Schwarzkopf extra care daily oil elixir" but the bottle looks almost the same but is a 75ml and not 100ml. In all honesty this is the closest formula you can get to the original Moroccan oil. I have tried a few of the low end brands lately and this has the most similar texture to Moroccan oil and ingredient wise it is very similar (Argan oil is 4th on the list in this one and 3rd in the Moroccan oil). Most of the oils on the market don't contain any so this is nice to find. The pantene and elvive versions are too oily and liquid and get greasy this one seems to have the most similar properties of the original being thick in texture but non greasy when in the hair and seems to aid drying time like the original. The only thing I miss of the original is the unique musky scent - this one is very light floral smelling but still nice. Definitely one of the better contenders on the market and well worth the price.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Palmolive Naturals Intensive Moisture Conditioner
Shanplum 9/25/2012 10:28:00 PM
This product (the big pink coco-cream formula) out performs many salon conditioners I have tried. It really sinks into the hair and detangles. The smell is very artificial coconut - reminds me of childhood pamol syrup or something but it is fine once washed out and smells like a gardenias once rinsed (to me gardenias smell like coconuts). Give it a try for the price!

Scrubs -Avon - Clearskin Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub
Shanplum 9/25/2012 10:24:00 PM
A great substitute for the now discontinued Clearskin scrub (the blue formula) the same but green now and slightly bigger grit (but not by much) still non-irritating and highly effective and is slightly warming and cooling at the same time. PLEASE don't discontinue this.. I am still hoarding an unused tube of the original formula and have a backup of this one. Best scrub money can buy.
