Cute little compact, but this particular shadow is very light and frosty. Not a frosty as some MAC shadows, though. I'd buy again, but it works best as a highlighter.
Weird! My lips look like a blacklight.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

I've been using this stuff even more since I moved to the snowy, dry climate of central Colorado. I really do like it, especially the consistency (which is somewhat thin and slippery, not as viscous as vaseline), although the scent has this old-fashioned, psuedo-healthy, snake doctor oil vibe to it. I used it on my cuticles and as a lip balm, and for random dry areas. Not a lot I can say about this product except that the rose scent could really turn someone off. But it doesn't bother me at all, and I'm sure I'll use it until it runs out and then buy some more.
Blush -mark - Good Glowing Powder Blush in Peach Glo

If you are a PPP like me, avoid this muddy peach-brown blush like the plague. It is an extremely ugly color...downright ghastly.
Blush -mark - Good Glowing Powder Blush in Love Glo

It thought I'd hate this blush--because it's marketed to teens--but I love it. I wore it the first day I got it and have worn it every day since. I even wore it this evening when I was on a date with this millionaire guy, if that's any indication of how much I like it! It's scary matte baby doll/ bubble gum pink in the pan, but translates to a creamy soft, flushed sexy look on my PPP skin...as a 46 year old, any makeup that makes me look youthful and sexy without making me look like a sad washed up overmade hag is alright by me.
Lipstick -Avon - Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick SPF 15

I wanted to like these lipsticks, but I am finding the colors as ugly as the clunky packaging, although the color of the steel blue case is nowhere near as ugly as the hideous bright pinks and muddy browns of the actual lipsticks. I call these sh*tsticks, not lipsticks.
My body chemistry clashes with all Avon perfumes...this is no different. It smells sour on me; gives me a terrible headache! I'd rather sit next to the guy who farts in my yoga class than smell this stuff. :-)
Another sucky Benefit product. :-( With Benefit, it's about the hype, not the quality.
Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - Poppy Love
Sammy311 12/11/2006 11:39:00 AM
Whoa, what a gorgeous color and what a wonderful formula for lipstick. I bought this a few weeks ago as part of the Xmas tree shaped palette of Buttershine lipsticks, and while that palette was pretty gimmicky, it still gave me a great intro to this fabulous formula. And I have to say that Poppy Love is one of the best colors I have ever tried. On my medium pigmented lips, and against my PPP complexion, it is a shimmery peachy pink color, just slightly more pink than peach...it makes my lips look so juicy and full, almost like a porn advert. Haha--true, though. Love this. I immediately went out and bought a full sized tube. :-)
I liked this product more than I thought I would. First of all, it is more of a lipstick in a tube than a gloss. It gives a nice, even, fairly opaque coverage. The packaging is quite good, although Avon needs to give more thought to the colors they use in their packaging (I hate that navy blue they use...ugly). This lip color is low key, kind of a muted peachy pink...this is the kind of lip product one could wear to work, because the look is fairly professional. All in all, I like it fine.
Gorgeous color, but be careful if you are PPP like me, as it is highly pigmented. To me, it is a darker, warmer, less pink version of The Big Easy, which is to say that it doesn't look as good on me as The Big Easy, if that makes sense.
Fragrances -mark - Hollywood Pink Perfume [DISCONTINUED]
Sammy311 12/1/2006 11:02:00 AM
This is an ok scent, not what I expected. On me it smells kind of bland, kind of Avon-y, old-ladyish, if that makes sense. I had hoped that Avon/ Mark type products had finally gotten away from that same basic note they all seem to carry, but this perfume proved me wrong. My body chemistry just doesn't work well with any kind of Avon product. At least this scent didn't give me a headache, the way they usually do.
Weird that everyone seems to see this gloss as being a different color. On me it's a light peachy pink, although admittedly it looks rosy/golden in the tube. It's gorgeous and probably best on light skinned girls like me, but I took a lippie off because it needed a bit more pigment.
Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Lip Gloss - Rose Sugar
Sammy311 9/20/2006 11:16:00 AM
Dull color, and a brush so stiff and bristly that you could stab someone with it and do serious damage...I really do not like BB products, and this gloss is a prime example of why.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - WI Wylde Ivy Ice Princess Perfumed Oil

I wore this to work one day, and one of my male co-workers almost came unglued telling me how great I smelled. If he hadn't been a good friend I might have been offended by all his comments about how he was going to eat me up. :-)
