Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Dry Skin Therapy PLUS Intensive Repair Lotion
PinkSyringes 4/29/2010 2:48:00 AM
I bought this because I thought the AHA in it would help my KP. I used it every night, and it did make my KP go away. The HUGE downside was that, it takes forever to dry, and it is really, really really greasy. I am not sure if I would ever buy this again, because it does make my KP go away but it is super greasy! If your willing to wait for it to dry, then it work for you!
Mascara -NARS - Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara
PinkSyringes 3/29/2010 11:08:00 PM
This mascara really does make my eyelashes look longer! It's amazing! It is a pretty small amount of product though, and the brush is kind of flimsy. Otherwise, I love it, HG potential.
The perfect nude for me. I could wear this with or without lipgloss, that good in color. With lipgloss, it does feel more moisturizing.
This TM goes on smoothly, and actually matches me a little on the lighter side but still usable. I think it is a little thick for a TM, so little goes a long way. I would buy again, only if it were on sale, didn't really WOW! me. And it's great that it has SPF in it.
Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Professionnel Platinum Air Brush #55
PinkSyringes 3/26/2010 8:47:00 PM
This is an awesome brush to have around, it has definitely been a step up from applying my foundation or tinted moisturizer with my fingers. It really does give that "Airbrushed" look, and I find that I use less product when I use this brush. The brush is expensive, but I received it as a gift. The only really, really, really, really annoying downside, is when I got it in the mail from Sephora it was such a pain to remove the plastic covering over it. I was actually swearing it was that hard, because I didn't want to damage it, which I ended up doing, but only slightly. There is a dent on the metal part of the brush. Great brush, but if you can buy it in store so you don't have to fight with the packaging.
I am not really sure what this is exactly, but I like it. This is my second time buying it, so I figured why not give it a long deserved review. I use it after I apply my makeup, and I find that it just settles my makeup nicely, and the powder products that I do use don't look so powdery. Another bonus is, if I have a random dry patch, it will fix that patch right up. It's not a staple for me, but it's nice to have around. My world won't end if I forget to use it.
Self Tanners -Hawaiian Tropic - Island Radiance Self Tanner
PinkSyringes 3/26/2010 8:40:00 PM
This is a great self-tanner, it gives me great color as soon as the product dries. I use this over my Jergens foaming self-tanner, and this compared to the Jergens smells way better! It is actually very moisturizing, and I got it for only $4, can't beat that. The only downside, hence the one lippie off, is it does take a while to dry and can be rather sticky. But I am patient enough and it's totally worth the wait!
I love the packaging of this bronzer, something about the tin just gets me. The product itself is great! I have yet to try it in the water so I am not sure how water resistant it is. But I actually use this to couture and it works perfectly! I usually use bronzers to couture but this just does the trick, it is the perfect color!!! I would buy again, but I doubt I ever will need to because it is huge. And it doesn't make my face itchy so that is a plus.
Thank god, I only got the mini of this at Sephora. This does nothing for my lashes, I have better luck with Smashbox DNA. I see no volume, and length at all! At it seems as if, it can't even hold a curl. Three things I would at least expect a mascara to do and it doesn't do any of it! Very disappointed!
I love, love, love this color on my olive skin tone! It just is really flattering. A little goes a long way for me, I really need to apply this blush with a light hand otherwise, it will be too much for me. I love the subtle shimmer it gives off. This color is actually really good on me, that since I bought it I have been using it everyday! And I am actually starting to feel sorry for my other blushes...:( Expensive but totally worth it, and I can definitely see it lasting a long time. I think I will look into the other nars colors.
Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
PinkSyringes 3/25/2010 3:41:00 AM
This product comes on thick for a tinted moisturizer! It was rather heavy, so I guess if you are looking for more coverage this is the way to go. But I need something light and well to work as a tinted moisturizer, light coverage and this was not it. The packaging is also horrible, the bottle/tube is incredibly hard to squeeze when trying to get the product out at the end.
This product works well as a primer, my TM glided on smoothly. But that is about it, I didn't get shiny so no complaining in that category. For the price however, it was rather expensive and I wouldn't be buying again. It does the same thing that my Tarte Clean Slate does. I think this product is overrated and just meh. Nothing to special here.
Self Tanners -Jergens - Natural Glow Foaming Daily Moisturizer-Medium Tan
PinkSyringes 3/25/2010 3:27:00 AM
I love this as self-tanner! It works so well on my skin, and is actually instantly noticeable. I have bought this over and over again, so I figured it's about time to give it a review. It dispenses as foam which to me is a plus because it dries faster, then lotion. My skin didn't feel as sticky afterwards, although I did let it air dry naked for a good 5-10 mins. The only downside, is the smell, I feel like I smell like self-tanner, for a good while. Which is why I had to remove a lippie. The smell does tend to linger, but I can deal with that, and the color just looks great so I think it is worth it. No streaks and no orange color.
This product worked wonders for my skin with I started to breakout from a product or just breaking out in general. Which I might add, is very rare for me. So I stopped using my Korres White Tea cleanser and used this, and it cleared up my skin in a matter of days. The only downside is that, I found it to be very drying to my skin, which already has a teeny hydration issue. But it worked so I will buy it again, but I am debating on whether or not I should use this every day twice a day or just when I have break outs.
Conditioner -Pantene - Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner
PinkSyringes 3/21/2010 2:42:00 AM
I love this conditioner, I only apply to the lower half of my hair, never to my actually scalp, and it keeps my hair soft and mostly frizz free! Edit: After prolonged use, it started to dry out my hair. Good bye pantene!
