Smells really good and it's extremely light and smooth. However, it broke me out and gave me little bumps on my upper lip.
Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free
NotoriousCharity 1/25/2010 12:32:00 PM
Used this after my cleanser and woke up the next morning looking like a sun ripened tomato. In no way do I want my moisturizer to do that to my face. I'm not sensitive to BP so that can't be it. I also didn't like the dryness that resulted in tons of flakies since it's suppose to be a moisturizer.
I like Tonique Confort but then again I don't expect much from it. It gets rid of the dryness after washing your face and lightly moisturizes. It doesn't banish flakies so don't expect that. It has a lovely fragrance and does what I expect it to do. The price would be the only thing stopping me from getting it again.
Masks -Bliss Labs - Instant Mattification 10 min mask
NotoriousCharity 1/25/2010 11:59:00 AM
Like the previous reviewer said the mask doesn't do anything. I didn't see any difference before and after using the mask. I definitely didn't see any deep cleaning going on since every blackhead was still there. And for a mask it felt very oily and slick. I'd stick with my earthscience purifying facial masque instead.
Scrubs -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash pink grapefruit foaming scrub
NotoriousCharity 1/6/2010 11:32:00 PM
This scrub is very gentle while cleaning so no harsh scrub here. I love the 2% salicylic acid for my acne prone skin and I enjoy the citrusy grapefruit scent as my morning cleanser. It's a bit drying so always follow up with a moisturizer afterwards.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Foam Wash
NotoriousCharity 11/14/2009 10:33:00 PM
This cleanser wasn't bad I've used worse Neutrogena acne cleanser *cough deep clean cream cleanser* This was a light, pleasantly scented, and foamed very well. The feeling afterward was nice and clean. I think the .5% salicylic acid is too weak though. I would have been much happier if it had 2% salicylic acid.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser Cream
NotoriousCharity 11/14/2009 7:45:00 PM
I find this cleanser very mediocre and it felt quite oily to me. Plus the salicylic acid content wasn't high enough to make a difference in my acne so that was a wash. The real kicker was *how not* deep clean my face was after using. Most of my foundation was still left. So to sum it up oily feeling, didn't improve my acne, and doesn't wash off makeup. I definitely won't be buying again.
I liked the twist and brush on packaging since it makes the foundation easier to apply and you don't have to use your fingertips always a good thing. It does make me glow as the name entitles although later on down the day my nose ends up very shiny hate that part of the foundation. There was very limited color choices and the one I picked Fair to Light (lightest shade) was too dark on me. Best suited for someone with a medium tan.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
NotoriousCharity 6/24/2008 12:05:00 PM
I use Smith's Rosebud Salve to help blemishes heal faster and on my lips. It leaves a very moisturizing glossy shine and feels very nice. But it always seems to fade after a while. I find it bothersome to keep reapplying the salve on my lips. However, I've brought mine a year ago and still have alot left. So even though it's pricey it lasts for a long time.
Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
NotoriousCharity 6/5/2008 3:59:00 PM
Way better coverage then Physician's Formula Mineral Wear loose powder. However, I hate the packaging and it's very expensive for a drugstore foundation. I'm not sure if this was the reason for breaking me out but I stopped using it. However, it's a good mineral makeup drugstore foundation that gives decent coverage.
Treatments -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
NotoriousCharity 6/5/2008 10:03:00 AM
It's a light clear gel that's easy to put on and doesn't dry out your skin. I used it every night in my T-zone. It didn't get rid of zits that already popped up. But it was somewhat effective in preventing new ones. For nearly 7 dollars though the tube is quite small.
Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Blemish Concealer with Soft Flex
NotoriousCharity 6/5/2008 9:59:00 AM
I used this for touchups when I'm on the run. Like the foundation it stays put, transfer resistant, and was a close color match. I would throw this in my purse and put it on the train, I was buying tube after tube of this but it was running out too quickly so I decided to switch to the 1 oz foundation.
The Smoothers Concealer was pretty good long-lasting, didn't cause acne, covered well but it emphasized fine lines underneath my eyes. I'm only 21 I really don't want to see fine lines. Overall if you got the right color match and want a easy to apply on the go concealer this is good.
The name says it all it's a great lip gloss if you want gloss, shimmer, and shine in a pale pink color. I liked it alot. It wasn't as sticky as Lancome's juicy lip gloss and it has very smooth application. I just wished it lasted longer.
I don't really like the wand application and Ashley was too nude for my tastes. However, it has nice neutral shimmer and shine. I prefer the Beauty Rush colors.
