This is a beautiful, lovely floral scent that is soft and warm and lasts about an hour on the skin. If you don't mind reapplying during the day, this is a great choice since it dries down from a floral to a more clean scent that's still very feminine.

Mascara -Clinique - Bottom Lash Mascara

OMG! I can't believe I fell for this gimmick! Shame on me. I was told by the SA at Sephora I could use it to coat the teeny, tiny little lashes on the top lid that are in the inner corner of my eyes. Ha ha ha ha! I ended up with an eylid dotted with mascara and crunchy, tiny lashes. It looked so sad. When I tried to go over the pathetic little lashes with my regular mascara (Benefit Bad Gal), it wouldn't coat them because they were too hard and crunchy. At $10, I'm not sure if it's worth returning or just taking the loss and ditching it. I'll probably just ditch it and use it as a teachable moment.

Lip Gloss -Korres - Cherry Lip Gloss - All colors/colours
rated 1 of 5

At first, I fell in love with these glosses. They tasted yummy, were beautiful colors, weren't sticky and had a nice shine without being overwhelming. But then ... I discovered that they were gritty. When I pressed my lips together, it felt like there were little, tiny bits of sand or something on my lips. After I noticed this the first time, I couldn't stop feeling it. Eventually, the texture bugged me so much that I threw all of my glosses out (10 or so of them). I love some other Korres products but these glosses are a big no for me.

Mascara -Mally Beauty - Volumizing Mascara
rated 2 of 5
NancyM 3/15/2011 2:39:00 PM

I almost feel like I'm reviewing a different product than everyone else because I think that this mascara is the very definition of "meh." The first coat gives a very light fringy effect on my lashes. Hardly any volume at all. The second coat makes my lashes look spidery. Then I have to use a spoolie to fan them out which removes half of the product. Meh -- It was part of a TSV so I ditched it. No big loss.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Drama

Update Septemb, 2012 NANCY - If you're looking at this review, you're thinking about trying this again. For the love of all that's holy, DON'T. You've tried it twice and both times it was horrible. Don't spend a godawful amount of money on a mascara you're going to throw away after a week. Buck up, buttercup. Your HG mascara is out there. You'll find it someday. How in god's name am I supposed to apply this mascara? I design huge computer systems for a living and I cannot figure out this brush. I knew I should have stayed in Engineering school! The crazy thing is that if the brush weren't crooked, it might be a half decent mascara. I tried and tried and tried and did get a nice couple of coats on my lashes and it volumized pretty well. It left three very voluminous clumps of lashes right in the middle of my eye. I had to use a spoolie to separate them and that removed most of the mascara. Thank goodness I got this as part of a kit. Otherwise I would have felt terrible throwing away such an expensive product.

Mascara -Clarins - Wonder Length Mascara

This mascara doesn't really do much. It lightly coats my lashes but it doesn't volumize, thicken, lengthen or anything. It doesn't really do much of anything.

Mascara -Laura Mercier - Thickening & Building mascara
rated 2 of 5

I knew as soon as I saw the brush that this wasn't going thicken or build my lashes. It gives much more of a feathery look which is sometimes ok. The brush Is your standard issue one with no curvature, no variation in the lengths of the bristles. I found it a bit difficult to get the wee little lashes oh the inner corner of my eyes because the brush is so thick. On the upside, no flakies and it was a free sample. I wouldn't spend my own money on this.

Mascara -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Lash Lifting Mascara

Thank goodness for samples! I can try a product and ditch it after one use without feeling bad. It seemed fine when I put it on. It was a bit too feathery for my taste but it did an ok job of creating volume. The real problem was when I looked at myself a couple of hours later. Uh oh! Flakes! I hate it when mascara flakes. This is a no for me.

Lip Treatments -Laura Mercier - Lip Balm
rated 3 of 5
NancyM 1/30/2011 10:12:00 AM

As others have said, this is a cute, shimmery almost-gloss but what it is not is a true lip balm. After a week of using this instead of my trusty shea butter, my lips are dry and chapped. It smells wonderful and having spf in it is a great bonus but it's definitely not moisturizing enough me.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bella Bamba

This is on the verge of being clown makeup. It's way too bright pink and too shiny. I wanted to try a Benefit box o' powder but this is absolutely the wrong one. It's garish.

Primer/ Corrector -Mally Beauty - Poreless Face Defender
rated 1 of 5
NancyM 1/6/2011 10:07:00 AM

I got mine as part of the TSV and tried it as a primer today. It sucked the life and the moisture out of my skin. I don't usually wear foundation and I never use powder but I thought that this might be a nice primer. First things first: the sponge is a waste. It's so thin that I thought I was going to tear it in two as I was applying the product. It sucked the product right into it and left very little for me to actually apply to my face. I ended up using my fingers to apply and got a nice, even coat. Second, JEEZ! I've heard of mattifying products but this one left my skin positively chalky. I don't even know how to explain how it made my skin look except that it was dry, flat, matte, and had a weird grayish cast to it. Third, I use a really great eye cream (Clarins Super-Restorative Total Eye Concentrate) and it leaves my skin silky smooth and extremly hydrated and plumped. I put some of Mally's product on it and *poof* every crease and line was right there, front and center. This might work if you have extremely oily skin but it's definitely not for dry skin.

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Anastasia Brow Gel
rated 2 of 5
NancyM 1/5/2011 1:58:00 PM

I've been wearing this for about a week and I've come to the conclusion that there's something in it that's making me itch. It's very weird and I've never experienced anything like this before but it's very real.

Other than that, it's a good product. It keeps my brows in place. It almost glues them in place. They're quite stiff and look a bit too shiny for me.

I can see how people would like this but it's not for me. Not with all this itching.

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer
rated 2 of 5
NancyM 12/20/2010 9:44:00 AM

I got this as part of a Sephora BI sample and I'm happy I tried it before I bought it. I have dry, sensitive, mature skin with rosacea and I'm on the hunt for a great primer to use either on its own or under foundation. This is not the one. When I squeezed it out of the tube, I was pleasantly surprized at how creamy it looked. However, as soon as I applied it, it felt as if my face just dried up. My skin instanly became uncomfortably dry and I had to rewash my face and start my skincare routine over, without this product (of course). This might work in the summer but not for my dry, winter skin.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Rosaliac
rated 1 of 5
NancyM 12/12/2010 1:04:00 PM

DO NOT use this product if you have an active rosacea flare up. After a week of brutal cold (> 10 F) and wind, I not only had burning, redness, and nbumps but my face hurt! I went to CVS and got roped into trying this by the "Beauty Advisor" there. I tried it last night and woke up the morning to a burning face that's redder than yesterday and had red dots all over the place. This product is going back today. This is truly one of the worst products I've used for Rosacea.

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Definition mascara
rated 1 of 5
NancyM 11/3/2010 6:46:00 AM

I know I'm reviewing the same mascara as everyone else here but I'm surprised that my experience was so different. My product was so dry that I could hardly apply it. When I did apply a coat, it was whisper thin. I applied again, still thin. Third coat, starting to see some coverage but by then my lashes were hard and crunchy.
