Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - MoistureShine gloss in Coy
Minzi 1/30/2004 12:45:00 PM
I have Coy and Dreamy. I like the moisture shines. They are very moisturizing, and shiny. They are not long lasting, nor highly pigmented. They are more like a really shiny lip balm to me. I like MAC lipglass of all lip glosses, but this one I think I like next. I love the moisture factor in these, no bad taste, and if you put some lip liner under them, the color is more prominent.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Volume Perfect - Grande Latte 840
Minzi 1/30/2004 12:32:00 PM
I don't really know what the 'base' side of this 2 sided lipstick is. I know what they 'say' it is, to reshape/plump your lips I guess. I think I am so put off by the amount of GLITTER in the color side of this lipstick, I just do not like it. After the lipstick wore off, and it didn't last too long...it left massive amounts of glitter on my lips, that also seemed to make it onto other parts of my face. AND, it made my lips peel. That is rare. I did not like this, it cost $8.00 and I am just not impressed.
I love cream blush, and this appears to be the best way to put it on. It makes a huge difference. This brush is NOT cheap, and it took me about a month to decide to buy it. I am glad I did. Cream blush can be tricky to apply, and this makes it go on just right. Hopefully this brush will last a long time, I don't want to shell out another 35.00 anytime soon.
This is a very nice / not greasy / long lasting cream blush. Easy to apply, I use the Paula Dorf Cheek Cream brush, but fingers work well also. Nice peachy color, it looked a little ''muddy' in the package and I almost did not purchase this. But I am glad I did, it is a very nice peach color, not muddy at all, and not too bright. It appears to be long lasting as well. Only 3 lipsticks on the price, I think 8.36 was a little high for a drug store brand. There is a fair amount of product, and it has what Revlon terms a pop up mirror..you push a little button on the compact and a mirror comes out of the side, similiar to a CDROM. EDIT : this blush is very sheer / but very buildable. I still like it.
Treatments -Avon - Avon Luminosity Skin Brightening Complex

I did not even know this was a 'lightening' product until I read the reviews on MUA. I thought the 'brightening' was like little sparkles or something, which I never saw, but I liked the cream. What a ding a ling I am. I noticed my skin tone was more even, and now I know why. I just ordered 2 more jars. Normally they are 22.00 each, Avon has 2 for $26.00 right now. This has SPF 15 and so far, this is my HG moisturizer. I wonder if its too heavy for summer, I just started using this in the winter... we will see !!!
I have been wanting a foundation brush for a long time. I didn't know if it would really make a difference in how the make up would look. And it does make a HUGE difference. I went through the reviews here and that convinced me to buy it. It looks great. You use so much less foundation, it is so easy to blend. I had it down by the 2nd application, I leave the brush damp to apply, it goes on smoother to me, and is easier to blend. It is a blending dream - nothing is easier. I used a gift card at Nordstrom to buy it, I think the price was around $30. It was very very worth it. If you are on the fence, just get it. There is not a down side to using this brush at all.
This fragance is very different. It smells different in the bottle than it does on the skin and its just,,,DIFFERENT. I liked it on a tester in a magazine. Tried it at the store, wore it all day, it faded out to something that I did not like. BUT I loved it so much the first time I smelled it, I tried it again with the GWP sample and now I love it. Very long lasting, its hard to pin point what it smells like, I feel its a 'winter' fragrance. But I can see how this would not be for every one...the smell is very unique.
Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Violet Ink Long-Wear Gel Liner

I love this. I read many raves on this product, I am looking forward to find the other colors. Applied with the Ultra Fine eyeliner brush, its very pretty. I find it long lasting, you can kind of smudge it after you apply ( if you are quick ) or apply a more definitive line. I love this product. VERY IMPRESSED. I see no reason to buy any other eyeliner. EVER.
I finally discovered the joys of this product, after hearing so many raves about it. I bought it in light. I like to buff it on w/a powder brush. It lasts all day, and I don't need to re apply. I am curious to see how it will stand up to a hot 110 degree summer. We will see.
Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner (All Shades)

I have Big Kahuna. I like it, I like the color / the pigment. The formula is ok. Creme eyeshadows are tricky. This is color I wear in the summer. The blendability is nice - but it does crease. I don't have particularly oily skin. I bought this for the color, you can apply powder eye shadows over it / with it,,,it doesn't cake up. But if I bought it again, it would be for the beautiful color only.
Foundations -L'Oreal - Quickstick Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
Minzi 2/16/2003 4:29:00 PM
I love this product, I am fair skinned and its hard to find a color match. I use Nude Beige and its perfect. This is smooth, long lasting, easy to apply. Doesn't cake up / doesn't disappear. Is not drying, doesn't show pores. Its pretty much everything a foundation should be. With the color match being so good, its very easy to blend. Its VERY excellent as a concealer. I sometimes stray and buy others,,, but I always have one of these in my bag. I HIGHLY recommend this.
Blush -Maybelline - Brush/Blush l (pink tangerine)
Minzi 2/16/2003 4:21:00 PM
I bought this because it is a 'look a like' of a more expensive product. I was not disappointed, it showed up pretty well on me, I am fairly pale, it was a little too 'frosty' for me, but I have a feeling that in the summer, with bronzed skin ( self tanner ) it will look much better. It gives a nice 'flush', not a lot of color that I see. But sometimes I just want a little something, and this is just enough.
I use the Oil Free Acne Wash and I have for about 5 years now or so. It is my HG cleanser. I used to try others, I don't even bother anymore. I was getting the little pimples on my chin, after coming into my 30's which I hear is common, and this got rid of it. I consider my skin to be combination skin, leaning towards dry. This doesn't dry me out, it removes ALL my make up and it really helps to improve the texture of my skin. It is not expensive. I can not say enough about it,, the whole removing make up feature is what I like the best, I have not found many that could do that. I also consider my skin to be moderately sensitive - Oil of Olay products / Clinique and others burn my skin,,, this never has.
I love this. I love the packaging / the brush included / the price / the effect it gives. I have Rasberry Sorbet. The brush it comes w/is perfect for applying it, which is unheard of for a drugstore brand product. I just realized it had a mirror under the lid, it is a good sized mirror. This gives a nice flush / has good pigment. I think needs to be applied with a very light hand. Can get a little too 'frosty' for me sometimes. But I would buy this again, and I would try the other colors..
what do you mean this is limited edition ? not part of the regular line ? I bought the quad at Sephora - with Pink Smoke / Maple / Cognac and Burgundy. I love this. I am going to have to go out and buy them. I saw a post you can buy these individually at Sephora.com,,, I will have to check it out, I am loving Cognac and Burgundy. - Very glossy / nice colors / long lasting. They feel REALLY good on my lips. I love them.
