I agree w/ the reviewer below (blueberry) that this one is one of my favorite now that I reach for most!!!! the chocolate and the cherry and the hint of coffee and almond are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! And it tastes sooooo sweet. I love it! I recommend this over any of the other chocolate cakey flavors! This one is definitely underrated and y'all need to give the Blackforest a try!!! I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.
Although this is one of my favorite cakes, I wouldn't repurchase, but I would buy the Black Forest cake or another chocolate flavored MLS instead. On the one I purchased it didn't have much of a cream cheese scent and rarely any flavor - but I could always specify for "more cream cheesey-ness" if next time :) And true to a real red velvet cake the chocolate on this was sort of bittersweet-like and not too overwhelming - very nice. Smells like a warm walnutty chocoalte cake. I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.
WOW!!!! This one is awesome!!! At first I thought whoa that's heavy on the salty popcorn smell - but oh man on your lips it's like buttery caramelly fiddle faddle w/ just a HINT of anise. I give this two thumbs up! I highly recommend this and I will rebuy! Not much flavor but the scent packs a punch - I LOVE IT! EXACTLY LIKE AN ORANGE MILANO COOKIE!!! I love this one! I can't comment on it's moisturizing factor yet - but so far it's great! It smells like heaven like the the orange chocolate candy snacks you break open in the foil wrapper. It doesn't really taste "sweet" like the pineapple upsidedown cake - but yum!!! I am definitely reordering! I highly recommend this one! I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.
At first I thought - it's just vanilla - but THEN after a few more smooth glides - MMMMMMMMMM it was like a cherry frosting cake - yum!!!!!! I would definitely repurchase and I highly recommend this as a good first time buy for anyone wanting to try MLS. I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.
Mine smelled like a buttery apple cinnamon muffin. very very very comforting. It's a good MLS too keep at your desk, or in your car while stuck in the commute, or while you're curled up on the couch watching TV in the morning. I wouldn't buy it again as apple cinnamon but if it were a different mixed mystery it's a fun concept. :) I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.
This was the first one I smelled in the entire box the minute I opened my package from MLS. Smelled like a buttery cake but the moment it touches your lips it just melts into a buttery pineapple-y coconutty goodness. I would definitely order this one again and I would recommend it to someone who wants to try both buttery and fruity!!! it's perfect! the only reason I would buy these again is b/c: 1 - they taste good IMO all of them. 2 - the price was right. (I got 4 flavors - peaches and cream was included free - YUMMY) for only $2.30 at CVS - which is REALLY cheap for 4 chapsticks. 3 - the size is perfect. 4 - the waxiness is good IMHO b/c it's better for really cold east coast windy winter weather. So I like it. I'm not giving it 5 lippies total only b/c my current HG chapstick of all time is Burts Bees but it's more expensive. EDIT: these no longer taste great. The go nasty after about 3 weeks. And after about one month of use - it makes your lips peel. Just say no.
I first bought a color "just so" wich was like a dark muave but ended up being way to bright and actually bled quite easily (I think it would look good w/ Snog l/g) Then I bought "birthday suit" - and I LOVE it! It's the perfect pale shimmery pink with no grey tones and it's not overly metallic or trashy or immature looking - it's very easy and perfect for lazy days and you still look polished and lovely. I'm brunette w/ brwn eyes and freckles and pale skin. I took one lippie off b/c the smell although it isn't annoying it's still really strong - it reminds me of mountain dew - and the long-lasting factor of the darker colors don't seem to last that long - but i paid 3.50 for these at my drugstore so i won't complain. I would buy this product again. EDIT: so this review was from 3 years ago - (it's 2009 now and what do you know, nudes are back in style again!) and I wish I didn't throw my Birthday Suit l/s out - I'll have to go out and repurchase. ;) EDIT 2.0: Now this is discontinued!! Good thing I went out and re-bought this!
What are all the bad reviews talking about??? I've tried NARS mascara, Maybelline, L'oreal etc etc. - this one is very cheap - works very well, no funky smell, no clumping at all - yeah it doesn't curl but I use a lash curler anyway. I would definitely repurchase this and the packaging is very sturdy and cool looking.
I took off one lippie for packaging - I can see how this would open easily in ones purse by accident. However the applicator is VERY nice and gives JUST the right amount and doesn't get globby. The price is cheap considering i got this on sale at Long's Drugs for only 2 bucks. The smell is a very strong citrus-y "mountain dew" type smell - I like and it doesn't bother me but sometimes in the morning at work it can be a bit annoying. I'm brunette w/ brwn eyes and freckled pale skin - the nude pinkish shimmer turns up LOVELY - esp over Birthday cake l/s from Rimmel! I love that this color doesn't look "trashy" or "immature" IMO and it's perfect for dramatic eyes but light lips - if you go out on a date or something - or for a sunny afternoon out. I will definitely repurchase and I'll probably have to buy in bulk since it's such a popular Rimmel item (along w/ Snog l/g and Birthday Cake l/s).

NOTE: one thing that worried me is when I first tried this my lips tingled a little bit (not supposed to happen) but then I wiped it off and re-tried later - it was fine.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
Marla20 12/8/2005 1:37:00 PM
the ONLY eye shadow primer. I put it on this morning just two *little* dabs on each eye lid, blend them, and then let dry for a quick minute. I read a few complaints about blending so I used a nude/shimmery e/s first (MAC shroom for example) then I used Paradisco and saddle - and I had no problem w/ blending at all - if anything it made my e/s colors pop a bit more and I even had to blend LESS b/c the blending was so easy. *shrug* Normally at the end of the day it looks like I have gloss on my lids and I have to smudge the e/s creases left behind - blech. But so far so good - I'll repost later on tonight how it turns out. Regarding the purchase: I kept hearing rave reviews here so I bought 3 from the UD site when they had a discount code AND when they were back in stock (which is rare). I like the cute genie bottle and you can always ply out the top when you think it's running low (in order to get more of the product out). UPDATE (later on this same night): NO LIE. this stayed put ALL DAY - with NO creasing AT ALL!!! I think I even rubbed my eye once or twice while at work - my new godsend HG primer! this product worked GREAT for me! :D
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Brown Sugar and Fig EDT
Marla20 12/6/2005 12:26:00 PM
I only wear this layered or else it fades by mid-day which is also nice when you don't want to smell too strong all day. the scent has already been described enough and the EDT is dead on w/ the lotions. My only gripe is the bottle is kind of small considering it's 22 bucks and isn't THAT strong. but I'll repurchase during sales times.
Lip Gloss -mark - Bee Pouty Voluptuous Lip Plumper
Marla20 12/4/2005 2:09:00 AM
I'm another odd girl out on this one but it worked on me! I got this free in a swap! ;) and it actually DID make my lips feel and appear plumper and smoother. It was a clear color and smelled like honey but the smell faded to a very light honey scent (VERY light which I'm glad for). I didn't FEEL anything - not a numbness but no tingling or funny smells either - but a few seconds after applying I just became more aware of my lips (this sounds odd) as if they felt larger on my face - I looked in the mirror and they actually looked smoother and fuller - but the color of my lips were the same too! like they plumped about 20% I have medium lips to begin with (definitely not thin or too full). The only thing I do not like is the large packaging - but it looks cute w/ the bee on it and all. Too bad this is disc! gah! If you see it for a swap - I say go for it. MUA mail me if you need to ask questions too!
