Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Conditioning Balm

Thank heavens for this product. I have been searching for a great deep conditioner. For some strange reason I had this balm mixed up with another Biolage product I used over 10 years ago that dried out my hair. All the other products I was using were only making my hair worse. I put this on the bottom half of my hair, popped on a shower cap and let it sit for 20 minutes. When my hair dried it was so soft. I even put my hair in curlers and ran a curling iron through it and it was still super soft. In fact my room mate of 2 months said it was the first time she ever heard me say that. This stuff is a god send!! PS I use the detangling solution for everyday conditioning. For reference, I have thick easily frizzy hair. Think Minnie Driver hair.

Lotions/ Creams -mark - The Body Squad Butt Fixing Cream

Once again, cute packaging but a compete waste of time. I'm also concerned because this can make you photosensitive. A problem in the summer months. I used to use a the Clarins butt cream (the old one from years and years ago). It was the best. It made the skin super soft and you had noticeable results. You could also feel it working when you put it on. Alas, they changed the formula quite some time ago and it hasn't worked the same since.

Packaging works well and is very cute. I'm very indifferent about this product. Doesn't irriate my skin but doesn't really seem to do much for it either.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar

So I was using the orange Clean & Clear toner for a while and wanted to use it up before I tried something else. One day my skin just decided it wasn't going to have it. Even Dermalogica irritated my skin. I decided to give ACV a try. In a small spray bottle I put 3/4 ACV to 1/4 water. I spray it onto a cotton pad and apply. I must warn you that I do this in the evening because the smell does linger for a while and it isn't pretty. I calmed my skin almost immediately. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and just noticed that my skin stopped being so oily midday. I haven't really changed much else so it has to be this. A little goes a long way! Try it in a spray bottle - its much more hygenic. Good luck!

Fragrances -Avon - Be Spontaneous

Although I would not buy this again I have to say it pleasantly surprised me. I bought it as a gift for my niece (came with the free powder) and decided to check it out first. It was very nice. Flowery but in a young girl kind of way. It was super cheap. The bottle looks cute from a distance but up close you can tell it's cheap. I don't regret having bought this for her but I would never get it for myself. Definitely for teen and 20's crowd.

Fragrances -mark - Self Sanctuary Kiwi Lotus

Stinky Stinky Stinky! I sprayed it once. I wouldn't even use it in the bathroom as a room spray. Smells nothing like Kiwi nor Lotus. I don't even know if I should put this on my swap list. It's too mean to subject anyone else to this.

Gels/Soaps -mark - Hollywood Pink Shower Syrup

Oh my god! I just got this today - I am too afraid to even try showering with it. It smells soooooo bad. As soon as I took a whiff, all I could imagine is Don Knotts as Mr. Furley in his cheap polyester pant suit, drowning himself in Hiya Karate. Maybe it will morph into something that smells remotely like chocoloate but I'm too scared to even try. Swap anyone?

This just sucks. Doesn't do anything to preserve color and damages your hair.

I bought the sample package - thank God! Really nothing special. The colors don't look like any human beings natural color. I'm glad I didn't buy a whole set.

Polishes -Maybelline - Express Finish Nail Polish (any color)
rated 1 of 5
Justina17 6/16/2006 2:53:00 PM

I got two polishes for $4.99 CDN - what a deal or so I thought. One was Tulip Take-Off #80 and another color - a pinkish red. A put a coat of each on one finger to try it out. Yes it dried very fast, yes the color was pretty matte - this is typical for fast drying polishes. About 10 minutes later both colors had chips in them already - not smears but chips. One in the middle of the nail and the other on the tip. I have never had polish come off so quick. It couldn't be a fluke because both colors did it. NEVER BUY THIS STUFF - what a waste!

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice n' Easy -new formula
rated 2 of 5
Justina17 6/4/2006 4:41:00 AM

I will buy this again under the condition that the color I chose is somewhat like it appears on the box. I bought a box 2 months ago and it came out too dark. Lord it lasted but too dark. I just used the new color for dark colors - I used the medium reddish color. It looked so nice and caramelly on the box (much like the result of my L'Oreal color). Instead it come out a cherry red on the roots and dark on the rest of the hair. Thankfully I used a left over bottle on L'oreal's root treatment so the color didn't really sink in there. I love it's staying power but I will have to experiment until I get the perfect color. UPDATE: So I finally found a color that wasn't too dark. 117 I believe. Well the color was flat and boring, it rinsed out way faster than the darker colors did and it was brassy. Not to mention my hair has been breaking at the roots a little. I think I've learned my lesson once an for all, never ever leave L'oreal Excellence.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Schick - Quattro for Women
rated 3 of 5

I love the weight of this razor and the look. It's pink but not to girly. In terms of the performance - blah! I always seem to nick myself (I have very sensitive skin). The only one that doesn't do this to me is the Venus razor - but not the disposables. I need the wires that run across the blades to prevent them from cutting - the disposables don't have them. The only reason I bought this was because I was out of town and forgot to bring the Venus razor with me. I will definitely keep the suction cup hook to use with my Venus. I hate the tape back case that comes with the Venus.

Sorry but it made me break out. Looks very cakey. I will never use another MAC powder. And I have been buying MAC products for 15 years.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
rated 4 of 5
Justina17 6/3/2006 2:36:00 PM

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I tried a little on the inside of my wrist when I was at the store. I noticed how much softer that side was a few minutes later. Not something you expect from foundation. I used a plastic scoopy thing to take some out. It works very well. Still have to use a little concealer on blemishes but all in all - a great product. And has not made me break out, not drying and not oily.

Lip Gloss -Milani - Glossy Tubes in SHIMMERING GLOW
rated 5 of 5
Justina17 5/17/2006 3:00:00 PM

I finally found this at Ulta in West Hollywood. Wow! The smell is like caramel but unfortunately not the taste. The color - WOW! It's not too pigmented but not too sheer. And it lasts!! I got it for $2.99 but I think they told me the price is going up. I should have grabbed more! I'm loving it. I prefer it to my MAC lip glosses.
