Gels/Soaps -Crabtree & Evelyn - Naturals Pineapple & Ginger Refining Shower & Bath Gel
rated 3 of 5

I love Crabtree products, but this was a disappointment. It was just a very basic foaming shower gel. It was nice that it was sulfate, paraben and colourant - free. But it just didn't do much for my skin, and it don't know if I really felt all that clean after using this. Even the scent, which is usually the best part of Crabtree products, was just kinda blah. For the price, I expected more out of Crabtree.

Conditioner -Paul Mitchell - the Detangler
rated 5 of 5
Jubilee 3/13/2012 2:07:00 PM

The name on this is misleading. When I think of detanglers they're usually really thin and lightweight. This is a "super rich conditioner". But I loved it. My hair is fine, but I there's a lot of it. My hair gets super sweaty and gross in my job, so I tend to wash my hair a lot. This helped my hair to never dry out. The scent was soft and creamy, and I would often smell my shampoo through it, which I love. Plus the 16 oz bottle lasted my over a year. I would definitely recommend this and buy it again.

Cleansers -Naturopathica - Aloe Cleansing Gel
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 3/13/2012 1:58:00 PM

I'm a little surprised no one has reviewed this yet, since on Naturopathica's website they claim this is one of their best sellers. Whatever. All I know is that this is a fairly basic gel cleanser. It did a pretty good job of cleansing my skin and keeping it clear. (Which is quite an accomplishment with my job.) It foamed up nicely, and I didn't have to use much. The one thing I will point out about this product is it has a VERY strong scent of lavender. So if you're sensitive to fragrances, steer clear of this. Also I could see how this might be a bit drying to some. I have pretty resilient skin, but even I got a bit of dryness from this. It is recommended for those with "normal to oily skin", so you can take that into consideration. But overall, it's a nice cleanser and if I had to, I would buy again.

Shampoo -Clairol - Daily Defense shampoo
rated 5 of 5
Jubilee 2/2/2012 11:21:00 PM

I purchased a bottle of this on ebay recently from the UK and I adore it! Now I'm lamenting it's loss. I used the Hydrate one for dry/damaged hair. Now my hair is not damaged, but it does get a bit dried out because I have to wash it often for my job. This cut through all the dirt and made my hair soft and managable. And the smell! I don't know if this was exclusive to the UK one, but it smelled a bit like a men's cologne. But I love manly scents, so for me, it was heaven. Even my DH liked it and he usually doesn't like my shampoos. Clairol, why is this gone??? WHYYY????

Moisturizers -Olay - Active Hydrogel
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 2/2/2012 11:15:00 PM

I purchased a jar of this on ebay because I had always wanted to try it. I actually kinda wish Olay still made it, because it's a really nice moisturizer. First the pros: It sinks in incredibly quickly, and never left me feeling dry or greasy. Actually it made my skin feel like velvet, which I never thought was even possible. And it is truly the most fragrance free product I've ever come across, which would have made it great for sensitive skin. Now for the cons. The jar is SMALL. It was only 1.7oz. So I used this up much faster than I do most moisturizers. And even though i know it would not make it as hypoallergenic as it is, I wished it had sunscreen. Is this the best moisturizer i've ever used? No, not even. But it's still pretty darn good, I would buy it again if it was still being made.

Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - Dial - Yogurt Vanilla Honey Nourishing Body Wash
rated 5 of 5
Jubilee 2/2/2012 11:04:00 PM

This stuff is awesome! And so cheap! It smells great, just vanilla-y goodness. And it produces a huge amount of lather, so you really only need to use a little, so it lasted me awhile. Plus it made my skin super soft and moisturized. So would I buy it again? Yes, yes, and yes!!!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture In Control Oil Free [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 10/25/2011 5:29:00 PM

Why, oh why, did Clinique discontinue this? This stuff was awesome! It made my skin silky soft, and gave it a soft matte finish. It was oil-free, and light and provided just enough moisture not to make me feel greasy in the hot Florida summer. I only gave it 4 lippies just because I would have liked it to have sunscreen. But other than that, this stuff was great.

Cleansers -Nivea - Refreshing Gel Cleanser
rated 2 of 5
Jubilee 10/25/2011 5:23:00 PM

I did not care for this cleanser. It's a decent cleanser for the money, but I didn't feel it got my face clean enough. Actually I know it didn't, because almost the entire time I was using this, I was broke out in the worst acne I've ever suffered in my life. I don't blame the cleanser for bringing on the acne; I blame my job for that, because I sweat like a pig in my job. But I do think that this cleanser wasn't strong enough to break through all that grime and keep my skin clean. So for that I only give it 2 lippies.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Sugar Cloud Gentle Foaming Sugar Scrub
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 10/25/2011 5:16:00 PM

I received a tub of this stuff in a swap. I got it in the Sweet Pear & Candied Amber scent. The good: This scrub smelled awesome. The scent was nice and strong and lingered on my skin, and in my bathroom afterwards. The large 110z size tub lasted me several months. The sugar grains weren't very large and were gentle on the skin. This would be good for someone with sensitive skin. The bad: It wasn't very scrubby, and I like a good hard scrub so I feel it working. Also it would foam up so quickly, I wasn't sure if it had been a scrub long enough to do any good, if that makes sense. This was my first foray into foaming scrubs, and I'm not sure I cared for them. I don't think I would purchase this if given the chance. I'd just want a much scrubbier scrub.

Shampoo -Paul Mitchell - Cleanse- Tea Tree Special Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 10/25/2011 5:04:00 PM

I have to first start off by saying that I bought this to use as a clarifying shampoo, not as a dandruff shampoo. And for that purpose it was only marginally okay. But as a normal shampoo, it was great. I probably wouldn't use this everyday. But on the days I did, I enjoyed it. The scent was such a pick-me-up in the shower in the morning! It's a bit on the pricey side. But I would still buy it again. For the scent alone, I would buy it again.

Treatments -St. Ives - Mud Miracle Deep Mineral Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
Jubilee 10/25/2011 4:58:00 PM

I recently purchased a tube of this on ebay, remembering that I liked it when I was a teenager. Well, it was okay, but not as good as I remembered it. It's supposed to "vitalize and fortify hair" and "rejuvenates weak or brittle hair." Well, my hair is neither. I use deep conditioner such as this to keep my hair soft and healthy. I'm not even sure it really did a good job of that. It was very easy to comb through after using, but I didn't even notice that much a difference in softness on the days I used it. I will say that for ease of use, it gets an A. The squeeze tube always distributed the perfect amount of product. But I'll move on to better deep conditioners now.

Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus SPF 30
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 7/15/2011 10:58:00 AM

This stuff was pretty good. I now live in Florida where bugs and sun are a daily concern. I would put this on in the morning and then would go to theme park for a few hours and I wouldn't get burnt or bit. I even wore this for an hour on the beach this week and the half of me that was covered by this (I ran out halfway through application) didn't get burnt. My complaints are it's a bit on the sticky side, and it does not layer well under makeup. But other than that it's a fairly decent sunblock and bug protector.

Shampoo -Vidal Sassoon - Premium Diamond Shine Moisturizing Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Jubilee 7/12/2011 2:40:00 PM

I bought this on Ebay from Japan where Proctor & Gamble is still distributing VS products. This was actually a very nice shampoo. It cleansed my hair well, and definitely left it shiner. My hair is not very dry, but I like moisturizing shampoos because my hair gets really dirty in my job, so I'm washing my hair a lot. So I'm not sure how moisturizing this shampoo would be for someone with really dry hair. It smelled really nice and clean. Oh, and it came in a huge pump bottle that literally let me use up every last drop of product and always distributed the perfect amount of product. I can't acurately say how much it costs since I bought it on Ebay. I'm not giving this 5 stars, simply because it's not the very best shampoo I've found for getting my hair clean after work. That shampoo would be Lush Rehab shampoo. But is it a really good shampoo? Yes, and that's why I would repurchase if I ever found myself in Japan and needing shampoo.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Foam Wash
rated 3 of 5
Jubilee 7/10/2011 11:30:00 AM

This was just an okay cleanser for me. Did it cleanse my face? Yes. But did it get rid of acne? Not even close. Actually I suffered my worst breakout ever while using it. I don't blame this for that. I blame my job because I jump around and sweat in the Florida sun. But for a cleanser that has salicylic acid and is supposed to help with acne, I would have expected my breakout to clear up faster. And for that, I wouldn't re-purchase.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Futur-e Moisturizer SPF 15 (Oil-Free)
rated 2 of 5
Jubilee 7/10/2011 11:24:00 AM

Why, oh why do I keep buying L'Oreal skincare products when they never work for me??? This was a just okay moisturizer for me. Sure, it moisturized my skin, but I never felt it really sunk in, and it would ball up on my skin if I used too much. it would especially ball up if I was sweating a lot, as I do here in Florida. I liked that it had SPF though. But would I buy this again? Heck, no.
