Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

The description on the back says: This innovative eyelash curler has a special curved design which angles to suit all eye shapes. Its silicone rubber pad applies the appropriate amount of pressure to curl lashes naturally and allows for damage-free heating, as stainless steel parts are not affected. Get long-lasting curled lashes both easily and safely. Add a swipe of e.l.f. Water & Earth Mascara and curled lashes remain in perfect shape all day. Really good! Fit the curve of my eye perfectly. It's very nicely designed and well made. For the price, it's a really good buy! Would definitely recommend this.
The description on the back says: Creates a flawless and smooth application with the synthetic bristled brush for wet and dry products. Conceal blemishes, red spots, and darkness with precision treatment. This brush is really hard and stiff, with synthetic bristles. Intended to use this as a lip brush but it doesn't pick up the pigment that well either. I now use this to do my french manicures at home, haha!
Makeup Brushes -Cover Girl - Make-up Masters Eye Shadow Brush

Love this brush. I use this to for general blending. Great value for money!
Pros: Gorgeous color, a medium-dark green grassy green, not a hint of blue or teal. Very pigmented like a lot of MAC eyeshadows. Really brings out the brown in brown eyes. Cons: Pricey!
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
Jadetive 7/12/2008 11:17:00 AM
Color: Matte black Value for money, considering the amount of product provided. Creamy texture and really easy to use with a small eyeliner brush (MAC 266 for example). Can be easily swiped off with a Q-tip if you make a mistake right after applying, but very waterproof and smudge-proof once it sets. However, despite the relatively thick, creamy consistency, on the first swipe, I can still see the color of my eyelid underneath. I usually have to layer the product a few times.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blitz and Glitz

Color: Black with fine gold shimmer Value for money, considering the amount of product provided.
UPDATED! I bought this as an alternative to MAC fluidline. It's a retractable eyeliner. Pros: Very portable and great for throwing into your makeup case when traveling. Much more convenient and easier to apply than the fluidline pot and brush. Best bit is the black is a real deep deep, opaque black, even compared to MAC's Blacktrack. Cons: Pricey. Half the price of MAC's but less amount for the money. Though easier to apply, I also have less control over where I place the eyeliner. It is very long lasting but tends to smudge a little on me. But considering that every eyeliner I've tried does smudge on me, the lasting power is relatively better than others. Great eyeliner, but too pricey for the tiny amount. Would probably buy again, but only when on sale. 5 lippies!
Great stuff. This concealer comes in a tube with a wand applicator. Pros: Though it's looks like a thin liquid, it covers beautifully, and even better than some stick concealers I have. (it's probably highly 'pigmented'?) Doesn't wear off and the texture is nice. Really easy to blend too. Cons: The only con would be that it's hard to find a perfect match. The one I got is too light for me. However, all of it's other qualities make it a really good concealer. 5 lippies!
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash

Pro: I love this product. It doesn't lather or foam up much but it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft to the touch. Great for use on regular days. Will not aggravate existing pimples. Cons: The scent takes a little getting used to though. It's not the best cleanser around. I have oily skin and I have other cleansers (eg: TDF glycolic acid cleanser) that REALLY help to get rid of acne. Although this wash isn't exactly acne-fighting, it's good enough for normal-skin days. I'd recommend the TDF Glycolic Acid Cleanser for acne-prone days. 4 lippies!
Sadly, this product did not live up to expectations. The liquid is slightly thick and dries very quickly. I found it almost impossible to do a cat's eye with this as it would dry before I could correct my mistakes with a cotton bud. When dried, it felt slightly flaky. And the tip was too thick to allow me to do a thin line. I thought it would but, unfortunately, the felt tip didn't work for me. That said, it was the cheapest drugstore liquid liner I could find. It's quite small and handy so I guess you could toss it in your purse. I suppose I could use it for special occasions when I have time to fiddle with it, but I find it far too difficult to use on an everyday basis. In the mornings, I want something really quick and easy, hence, I'm going back to MAC fluidlines.
I went to Australia recently and picked this up out of alllll the self tanners all lined up on the shelves because my cousin had recommended it to me. There aren't many inexpensive self tanners available in Singapore. The moisturizer has a decent scent, quite pleasant. Not the best scent in the world but it's great considering it's a self tanner. It applies smoothly and can take a while to dry. I've used it on my calves and tummy with good results. I have fair skin but I still bought this one for medium to dark skin anyways. When I used two coats over two days on one hand )to experiment) it turned orange. So, one coat once in a while is more than enough for me. It's cheap, it works and I know it'll last a long time. 5 lippies!
I like the scent, but the lasting power is sooo poor, so I use it as a spritz after gym. So that I don't smell too funky and offend the person next to me on the train/bus home.
I used glycerin on my skin last night. (why does it feel warm?) And today i woke up to glowy, plump skin. :) I believe it's the main component of most moisturizers.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 266 Thin Small Angle (Synthetic hair)
Jadetive 11/17/2007 6:47:00 AM
This brush is amazing. I use it for eye-lining, top and bottom, with cream or powder liners/shadows. I also use it to do my brows since it's so small and the angle makes it easy to trace out the ideal brow shape. Would definitely rebuy. HG eyeliner and brow brush!
Styling Products -L'Oreal - Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum
Jadetive 10/25/2007 10:44:00 AM
This is an AWESOME hair serum. I use one pump of this and run it through the middle to ends of my damp hair. (I have thick, black, typically straight Asian hair) When my hair is dry, I have really smooth hair. And it smells so good! I think this would be the best, most value for money hair serum you could buy. 5 lippies and a definite rebuy. :)
