Lip Gloss -NARS - Dolce Vita

This was my first ever NARS product. I was so in love with this lip gloss, I ran out and bought the lipstick and a lip liner to match. The color is a gorgeous rosy pink that is appropriate for everyday activities like school and work. This might just be because I layer it over the lipstick, but it leaves behind a pink stain after it fades, which I think is pretty neat. Overall it lasts pretty long too.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser Cream

I've been using this for about a month and I really enjoy it. I previously used only foaming gel cleansers and was not crazy with how my skin was. My skin always felt a little dry and never looked as good as I know it could be. I decided to make a dramatic switch to a non-foaming, cream cleanser. This definetly has improved the overall appearance of my skin; for the first time ever I would describe it as "glowy". Although I battle the occasional breakout, I feel this product does not cause them. When I use this product my skin feels cleansed and refreshed. I personally enjoy the minty feeling (especially after a long day, or early in the morning). Although it does not remove all my makeup, I use the neutrogena alcohol free toner at night and that does the trick! edit: It's like that saying "you don't know what you've got, until it's gone". I stopped using this for about two months, and I started resorting back to the "I don't love my skin" mentality. After switching back to this product, I am once again loving my skin. I love it so much, I've cut back on foundation use. This is my HG cleanser. I will never stray again.

I bought this product after a friend told me it would be a less expensive version of my beloved NARS sheer glow. I'm on the fence about this one. I love the packaging, mainly the pump. It has good coverage, but applying too much will make you look really overly done. Im not crazy about the finish, it's not bad but its not great either. It has a dewy finish, but it's somewhat cakey up close, so do not apply this with a heavy hand. I'll probably finish off the bottle, or give it to my sister since I tossed the sales slip. I guess nothing can replace my NARS... Edit: I decided to give photoready another try since I only wore it once and then gave it away (plus I had a coupon). The first time I purchased photo ready 001 Ivory, which was too pink for my neutral skin tone, I decided this time to try 002 Vanilla. I AM IN LOVE! I brought this home and compared it to my NARS Sheerglow Siberia and they match perfectly. It must have been the coloring the first time because this looks so great on me and I am happier with the overall appearance of it. Although I am still a diehard NARS girl, this could definetly become a less expensive alternative to the sheerglow.
