Polishes -China Glaze - Pink Voltage
rated 5 of 5

Though I don't like this color for myself (not sure why I bought it but I've had it a long time and never bought anymore China Glaze polishes), this is a great polish. The color is a very hot fuschia pink with blue undertones, and someone else said. It is liquidy but still potent, and it does last a nice long time. User friendly. I will venture out into more shades of China Glaze.

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - How Cute Is That?
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/17/2011 4:36:00 PM

This color is a beautiful, slightly shimmery bright coral on the pink side. The formula is thick without being goopy. The staying power is so-so. Overall the packaging is unremarkable but the color itself is quite nice.

Polishes -Revlon - Top Speed - Peachy
rated 4 of 5
Iphy 7/14/2011 3:03:00 PM

This is such a pretty color. The formula is shiny, dries fast, the color applies evenly, though it is pretty thick and can get goopy if you don't act fast. One thing I don't like is that it's chipping and it's only been 36 hours. Did not use a topcoat or basecoat, didn't have time.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase paste
rated 5 of 5

I have no idea what compelled me to spend $26 for a lip balm pot's worth of under eye concealer, but I did, almost sociopathically, and I don't regret it entirely. I had been using Cover Girl's Simply Ageless Corrector but the thing is yellow. Pure sickly ashy yellow. I also have Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage, but that product is...drier than a popcorn fart, for lack of a more elegant descriptor. I walked into Sephora panicked, basically after searching for concealer reviews and watching countless videos I learned two things 1) My allergies and thin under eye skin are going to make concealing dark circles impossible 2) I need a salmon color, not skin color or yellow. The clerk rushed me to Laura Mercier's concealer (I didn't catch the name) and also mumbled something about Benefit, Clinique, and Sephora brand. I was was mushing the Mercier product between my fingers with this demented look on my face, the consistency was so creamy and it was salmon! Oh, salmon! They all say use salmon! I was ready to just rush up to the counter waving my money but I decided to scope a bit more. The Sephora brand was a kit, and the concealer was...like...baked chalk and silly putty petrified in a tub? NEXT The Clinique All About Eyes looked like just another runny squeeze tube of oddly colored paste. NEXT The Benefit looked and felt like the Mercier, I dabbed it on, ok...worked...the price, ok...once the med crew took the paddles off and lifted me off the floor I decided to compare it to the Mercier, and for 4 dollars more you get twice the product. OK, let's do it. This stuff is nice, it is thick (very) and creamy (very) and tacky as well. Really grabs on, can be covered with a powder to set. My dark circles are very very bad, and I do look nicer and brighter in this than I ever have. The darkness is not completely gone, however. I hope this lasts me a long time, I only use a teeny dab with my fingers. This is not for a brush, too thick. I would be open to trying other kinds, but I like this consistency. Maybe the Bobbi Brown is in my future. EDIT: I watched a QVC video on this product, and the mua used a brush. I said, what the hey, and tried. It is nicer with a brush, disregard my initial impression. I had been putting it over my foundation with my ring finger at the suggestion of a youtube mua, but I have gone to putting it on with a brush and not using foundation on that area at all, just powder. It still looks blended but covers best for me this way.

Gels/Soaps -Suave - Cocoa and Shea Butter Body Wash
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/10/2011 10:51:00 PM

This is a great body wash! I got it for $1.45 with a coupon at Target. I had initially stopped in to buy the St. Ive's oatmeal and something or other body wash with rave reviews, but I couldn't hang with the scent. This is creamy, gently, lightly scented, no residue, and dirt cheap. I am usually a fan of sweet smelling body washes (fruit) but this is a nice change. Much better than Dove.

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Go Fresh Nutrium Moisture Plum & Sakura Blossom

I really like the scent of this, but I find this body wash incredibly drying. My arms have gotten a little flaky, and it's the summer time. I can't imagine what would happen in the winter. The smell doesn't last long of course, but I'm used to that with body washes haha.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 3 of 5
Iphy 7/8/2011 11:23:00 PM

Right now I can't find a lip balm that doesn't make my lips feel dry, which is rather stupid to even admit. The raspberry lemonade feels awful, chapstick feels awful, as does this. The product is cute, seems nice enough, and doesn't have an overpowering smell but it leaves a dry feeling. My lips do not feel chapped once it's off, it just must be the wax? Overall I wouldn't buy this again for how expensive it is.

Moisturizers -Olay - Anti-wrinkle nutrients daily SPF 15 lotion
rated 4 of 5
Iphy 7/8/2011 11:11:00 PM

This is a good moisturizer, but it stinks, it burns, and it has rainbow shimmer in it. It is way too harsh for my super sensitive skin. The smell is absolutely unbearable, and it is a bit heavy, but overall I do notice that my lines look lessened over night and my skin is moisturized. I would not buy this again, however.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/8/2011 11:08:00 PM

I am sometimes hesitant to go to this moisturizer, as I feel it is sort of sticky, but it is very gentle and doesn't clog my pores or burn my skin like most do. My skin is very very sensitive, and this is a nice mild but moisturizing product. Sometimes I put a tiny pea size amount in my palm and add a bit of water for a light wash of moisture. This is a good product.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/8/2011 11:05:00 PM

For lack of a better adjective, this is a beautiful product. Light, softening, clean, non-irritating, It doesn't stink, it isn't soap, it's just nice. I have no complaints about this cleanser whatsoever. Some may feel it doesn't clean, but I know if I overuse it (twice a day) it does make my skin feel tight, so it's certainly doing something. I imagine this is so good at helping prevent wrinkles, without using greasy lotion to cleanse. My skin is so dry and sensitive and persnickety, this is the only thing that doesn't erupt it in a rash.

Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Love My Nails
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/7/2011 9:02:00 PM

I have this in a peachy orange color and wear it on my toes. I find a lot of polishes too drying for my fingernails, and this one definitely would dry me out. This polish is great. Under two dollars, decent bottle, non-goopy, nice brush. The polish is very chemical smelling, for sure. I have had this color on my toes for four weeks (I kid you not) and it's just now starting to fade a bit at the edges. I will remove it soon. I wear a Sally Hanson topcoat over it and the polish is sealed tight. Best polish I have ever used for toes.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites in Strawberry Parfait
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/5/2011 7:40:00 PM

I have seen these around for what seems like a millions years, but I have had such bad experiences with Bonne Bell lip glosses (obviously Lip Smackers are divine) I hardly wanted to bother. The other glosses, burn, tingle, numb my mouth, dry my lips, and basically aren't glossy. After seeing so many positive reviews, I caved about bought Strawberry Parfait. Upon putting it on my lips I was surprised it was so thick...I knew it wouldn't be sticky but I thought it would be runny as a result. The smell is pretty weird, it's strawberry yogurt, but it's ok. I was a bit shocked it was so light, but the color is absolutely beautiful. It lasts so long, I wiped it off to eat dinner and it's still on lol. I know it will be nicely moisturizing and long lasting. Awesome!

Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Pink Chic
rated 5 of 5
Iphy 7/5/2011 10:36:00 AM

I quite like this lipstick, and I don't like lipstick. I am very pale, and can imagine this would be hard to pull off on other skin tones. It is a bit frosty, but not much at all (I hate frosty makeup, it's so cheap looking). It is a bit lilacy, but not enough to turn me from it (I don't understand purple lipstick, sorry lol). It isn't drying, isn't obnoxious smelling, lasts a bit (1-3 hours) and the tube holds up. I wear strawberry chapstick under it, dab a bit on until I get the color I like (usually not much) and cover it with a lipgloss of some sort and it's nice.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 2 of 5
Iphy 7/4/2011 10:16:00 PM

Not a fan of Burt's Bees products whatsoever. I find this balm obnoxiously scented, I don't know how people tolerate the stench of this. Overall I do not much like waxy products, so this isn't for me. I would be interested to try the mango one, but I just don't want to spend the money.

Eyes -Wet 'n' Wild - Color icon Brow & Eye Liner
rated 4 of 5
Iphy 7/4/2011 7:55:00 PM

I have this in Mink Brown and the dark purple. Not very much color payoff, but very smooth and cheap at 99 cents each. This is not a good water line pencil, and I am overall a bit bummed about the lack of color but the pencils are great to layer color and are so smooth. I tightline my upper lashes with them and it's a nice effect. EDIT 8/30/11: I bought this in Turquoise on a whim, knowing I didn't much like the first two, but it's so much better! I think Walgreens may have had a bad batch, they were so dry...this one is creamy.
