Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
rated 5 of 5

I can't believe I've forgotten to review this, since I have already repurchased a few times! I absolutely love it! Goes on very light, not sticky, and it keeps the colors true all day. What more could you ask for? At $1 you have nothing to lose and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has replaced my UDPP and my Lancome as my every day primer. I also tested a swatch on my hand of all of them, and the colors stay much more like "in the pan" shades with ELF.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Smooth And Perfect
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 7/26/2012 3:59:00 PM

I adore this polish! I have it in Sea and Linen. The Sea color looks kind of pastel aqua in the bottle, but goes on more creamy with a slight blue tinge. Sounds horrible, but it's pretty on the toes in the summer. Linen is a nice neutral light pink. You do need to do two coats for the color to really show, and it does take much longer to dry than most of my others. It does what it says, goes on so smooth and gives me a flawless manicure that really lasts. I've even used it as a top coat over another color and it helps to make that polish last much longer. It does seem pretty pricey for a ds brand, but I think it's worth it.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Cream Hair Bleach
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 6/4/2012 8:04:00 PM

I've been buying this for years, but started using it for other things recently. I mix up a small batch (same amount as you would for your arms) whenever I need some summery hilights in my hair! I just apply it with my fingers, going down thin strands around my face and back a bit. I leave it on for 40 minutes (my hair is coarse and medium brown) and wash and condition. It gives me the PERFECT cool blonde strands, never brassy. I really love it for this purpose. Beats spending $20 for a home highlighting kit!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 6/3/2012 9:25:00 PM

I've already bought this about three times and love it so much. Not only does it make the perfect es base without being too powdery or chalky, but I use it EVERY day with a soft brush after applying under eye concealer. Yep, I use it under my eyes. It is so finely milled that it won't cake up, but really helps to set the concealer, add a little more coverage, and it keeps your mascara from ending up under your eyes. Try it!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aztec - Indian Healing Clay
rated 4 of 5
HeidiF69 6/1/2012 4:10:00 PM

I can't believe I've forgotten to review this! I have been using this for several months now, usually a few times a month, and just love it. I usually mix it with water, and a mortar and pestle really help to grind it together for the right consistency. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, or until it dries. When I really need a great peel-type mask, I use my Queen Helene Grape mask, and add a couple pinches of the Aztec Clay. Then I kind of mix it in my hands before I apply. WOW! This acts like a full-face Biore strip! It will make you cry, but in a good way. I get my Aztec Clay through www.iherb.com. It's around $5 for a pound of it, and if you enter this code as a first-time buyer, you get $5 off, so it's basically free! Use the code: COD828 I will continue to buy this, but it seriously lasts forever. My only complaint is that it's loose in a jar, and it sometimes spills out when opening. It would be great to have them include a little measuring scoop.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Bronzer
rated 2 of 5
HeidiF69 5/31/2012 5:19:00 PM

I'm reviewing the Happy Bronzer and Blush (the bronzer with the three pink hearts) and I was not too impressed. Like many drugstore products, it's almost like there is a film over the top that you need to get past to get any product on the brush. The first few tries yielded next to nothing. I finally scratched through is and only the pink hearts deposit anything, almost nothing for the bronzer, and I'm pretty light. I don't really notice a smell at all. The finish is pretty, but I have to add several layers to see it, not worth my time on a busy morning. The clasp on the case broke and fell off during the first week. Cute idea, but it didn't make me happy paying so much for something that did so little. Many better options out there! Will not repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single - Kitten 257A
rated 4 of 5
HeidiF69 5/27/2012 1:39:00 PM

I bought this because I am a huge WnW fan and it was one of their newest colors. Love it! If you ever wanted a "neutral" lilac tone, this is it. I have light olive skin, so I don't look great in silver, frosty tones, but this purple has gold shimmer in it, so it looks really complimentary with my brown eyes. I used a primer first and the color came out lovely. Like my favorite, Nutty, this one shows as a deeper color in the crease, so you can just use one shade. I will repurchase.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 5/12/2012 10:43:00 PM

After starting to go grey at 18, I have tried almost every hair color out there, and Colorsilk is always my favorite, go to product. I started using it exclusively a few years ago, it's even cheaper than those root touch up kits! I usually get it in a two box set for about $4. The colors have always been perfect - nothing orange or unexpected - and it really covers the grey well for quite a while. Doesn't seem damaging either, what more could you want?

Lipstick -NYX - Darling
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 5/8/2012 5:38:00 PM

I love this shade so much, I plan to stock up. I have medium olive skin, and for me this is the perfect nude color. It doesn't wash me out, and even though it's a frost, it pulls warm enough on me to be very flattering. It's not too frosty, not too matte and not too glossy - just a perfect balance.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Lots of Lashes
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 4/23/2012 10:12:00 PM

Just go out and buy this! I have been trying Great Lash on and off for over 20 years, and was never too impressed. I bought this new Lots of Lashes version, and WOW. Lovely separated lashes, with lots of thickness, too. You don't have to choose long or thick lashes, this one gives you both. I don't think it comes in a waterproof version, but this stays on very well with no flaking. What I wish Lancome's Doll Lashes was (but it was horrible). Will repurchase and possibly stock up in case they discontinue it.

Eye Shadow -Ulta - Gun Metal
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 4/23/2012 10:07:00 PM

A beautiful, metallic smoke grey color. It does lean towards blue, but is so pretty. I'm not sure if it's been reformulated, but mine was smooth and silky, with a great color payoff. Comparable to Stila in texture. I used it over my cheap ELF primer, and it stayed all day, it's been 12 hours so far, through wind and teary allergy eyes, it didn't budge! Will repurchase if I ever finish the pan.

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
rated 5 of 5
HeidiF69 4/12/2012 11:25:00 AM

Wow. I absolutely love this product! My skin is pretty good, so I have only been using concealer lately. I find that tinted moisturizers are too sheer and greasy, and I don't need all the coverage of a full foundation. I bought this bb cream in shade 23, for my light olive skin, and it's just perfect! I look like I've been airbrushed. My skin is very dry, so it soaked right in. I just set it with a little powder and I should be good all day. Will repurchase.

Eyes -Lancome - Aquatique Waterproof EyeColour Base
rated 4 of 5
HeidiF69 2/29/2012 7:15:00 PM

I got this as a GWP in the nude shade (they also offer it in a deep shade) and it's wonderful! I have used UDPP and other primers, but this is the only one with enough pigment to completely erase any lid color before applying my shadow. It's very silky, and feels much more moist than some others - I think you just have to be sure to close the lid tightly after each use. It keeps my shadow from creasing all day, and I've even used it as an under-eye concealer and it works equally well. Love it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
rated 2 of 5
HeidiF69 2/6/2012 2:04:00 PM

I bought this on the same day as Wet n' Wild's Megashield gloss in Ring Around the Rosey. It's a complete dupe and $1.99 compared to $7.99 for this one by Revlon. The color is a pretty brownish, pinky taupe, but $7.99 for a glorified gloss? The color payoff was nice, and it is silky with a shine, but this didn't last longer than one hour, where the WnW lasts for over two. I was also very disappointed by the tiny amount of product you get in the tube. Turn it up, and you will notice that there is about half as much as other lipsticks. I wouldn't repurchase unless it was on clearance at some point. There are way better options out there.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush
rated 4 of 5
HeidiF69 1/21/2012 7:04:00 PM

I just bought Coffee Cake, because the others all appeared to be scary neon pink. Coffee Cake is a gorgeous, pearly bronze shade. It looks like the perfect rosey tan shade on my light olive skin, and the sheen it leaves makes a nice highlight. Really pretty and such an interesting product. Most of them at Target had been opened and "bounced" I guess people couldn't resist checking them out. Be careful that yours is still sealed before purchase. The color lasts well, but I have dry skin, so I don't have much trouble with color sliding off. It's a little difficult to blend due to the dry/slippy texture, but once you get the hang of it, it's really lovely.
