Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+

Best finishing spray I've ever used! It sets my makeup nicely, it doesn't change the foundation texture or color at all, and it evaporates super fast. The bottle is also huge, and you only need one spray for your entire face, so it will last forever. LOVE! <3

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy
Haruhi13 2/15/2012 2:23:00 PM
According to perfumenet, the scent is honeysuckle, gardenia, jasmine, praline, amber, caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood. On me it's very sweet, with the praline, amber, and caramel being super strong. The drydown is pure vanilla. It smells amazing, and isn't terribly overpowering! It doesn't last too long, though, but the lovely scent more than makes up for that! I can't comment on the packaging, as I was gifted this perfume in a long, narrow glass container with Juicy Couture emblazoned on the side (it took a little hunting to find out which perfume it was!)

Misc Beauty Tools -Laura Mercier - Folding Eyelash Curler
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 8:30:00 PM
This is a wonderful little tool! I quite like it, especially since it's so small and light and collapsible, making it extremely portable. It's plastic, albeit a sturdy plastic, so it may feel a bit cheap, but don't be fooled! It does a magnificent job of curling (even comparable to my Shu Uemura curler). Definitely recommended! I'd buy it again, but I don't think I'll need to!

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 8:25:00 PM
Super, SUPER thick and creamy. It's a little too orange for my wacky skin color, but it does do a good job of correcting. However, it's so thick, and so creamy, it's almost waxy, and therefore super hard to blend and smooth out. It's a little too expensive for a product that's not totally magical, so I don't think I'll be buying it again.

Lotions/ Creams -Cetaphil - Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion For Dry Sensitive Skin
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 8:03:00 PM
My favorite part is the consistency! On the liquid side, it keeps moisturizing foreverrrr. I had to detract two lippies because... well, it just doesn't absorb! I have very dry skin in the winter, so I applied this before going to bed. I took a shower the next evening... and the lotion was still there! It turned slimy under the water and was generally nasty. But it does moisturize, so I can't complain too much. The price is very low for the amount of lotion you get, which is awesome, and the bottle has a pump! Very hygienic and convenient. Verdict: Yes, I'd buy this again.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Glimmer- Hottie
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 7:56:00 PM
A lovely, very shimmery, slightly sheer loose powder that looks fantastic foiled. I can't see this being unflattering on anybody! Not to mention the insane amount of product you get. Color: A striking dark gold-bronze, very versatile and excellent for both daytime and nighttime (just the right amount of shimmer)! Personally, I like pairing it with Chameleon- however, that combination probably wouldn't work on most people. Packaging: The typical Bare Escentuals round glass pot with a black screw-on lid.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Chameleon Eye Glimmer
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 7:49:00 PM
This is my HG blue shadow! Very sheer, but over a primer and a white background it can really pop! Pricey, but you get a huge amount of product. I can see this color on anyone- it's universally flattering. Color: It looks like a pretty medium blue with gold shimmer in the pot, but it shows up differently on everyone. On my skin (L'Oreal True Match W3) it's a warmer, almost aqua, color, and the gold is very prominent. On a pale, cool-toned friend, it was more of a silvery blue, and the gold was extremely subdued. It's quite aptly named! Packaging: The typical Bare Escentuals round glass pot, a big one, with a black screw-on lid.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Diamond Glow Eyestudio Palette 03 Gray Pink
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 6:53:00 PM
My sister went to India, and she brought this back for me! I've no idea about its availability here in the US. Anyways, these colors are full of silver shimmer and super pigmented! Love love love. I've had no problems with fallout at all. It's 2.5 g. Colors: Highlight- A grey-toned white Midtone 1- A light cool-toned lilac Midtone 2- A silvery charcoal grey Accent- A deep gunmetal Packaging: Rectangular plastic compact, bottom is black, top is clear so you can see the shadows and applicator. There's a strip of bright silver around the top of the black part. The colors are set in geometric shaped pans that are fairly deep, with the biggest pan being the highlight color (all the other pans are equal). There is a double sided silver sponge applicator, with a narrow sponge on one side and a wide, rounded one on the other.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Eye Shadow Quad - Picture Perfect
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 6:36:00 PM
I got this as a hand-me-down from my sister, so I'm not exactly sure where it's originally from. The colors are all very sheer and shimmery, so they're quite wearable and look very natural. I've experienced a little fallout, nothing too bad. The net weight is 18 oz, or 5 g, so you get a lot of value for your money. Colors: Clockwise, starting from the top left. 1- A light cranberry with some golden shimmer 2- A medium grape with grey undertones and silver shimmer 3- A pretty champagne with golden shimmer 4- A deep brown with some red undertones and golden shimmer Packaging: Square, sturdy, well-made black compact, plastic with some sort of matte rubber stretched over it, full mirror on top lid. Shadows are in deep square pans that you could remove if you wanted.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow Quad Stonewash Denim
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 6:22:00 PM
Another seven year old item bought for stage makeup purposes... *cough* Anyways, this is quite a nice palette. The colors are a tad sheer, but easily buildable, and they look great together or solo. All of them are shimmery, but there are no ridiculous chunks or flakes of glitter. I have never experienced fallout with these. Makes for very nice, striking stage makeup, and also transfers very well to everyday. Colors: Browbone- A very pretty cool ivory with a faint blue shimmer. Midtone 1- A light blue with pale grey undertones, the shimmer is the most noticeable in this color. Midtone 2- A darker, silky periwinkle blue with grey undertones, the most matte out of the four. Crease- A medium dark, cool charcoal grey with light shimmer. Price: Super cheap. Under $4. Packaging: Sleek rectangular black plastic compact, clear window which shows all four colors, information printed in white on a black sticker on the back. The shadows are narrow, long rectangles and seem fairly deep. I've yet to hit pan. The palette comes with two crappy sponge applicators, one narrow and pointed and the other more round.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Heather Silk
Haruhi13 2/14/2012 6:08:00 PM
I have a confession to make. My Heather Silk blush is... seven years old. *ashamedface* My mom bought it as a performance blush (because I'm a dancer), and it's still pretty amazing seven years later. Super, SUPER pigmented, excellent for stage makeup, but a light touch and lots of tapping is necessary for an everyday look. Color: A very cool toned, completely matte pink. Price: Under $2, I believe? Packaging: Typical silver plastic compact with a clear plastic window to the blush, information in purple text on clear stickers, fairly deep rectangular pan, horrendous prickly plastic brush. There is a mirror, but it's too small to be very useful.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Creme
Haruhi13 2/13/2012 1:22:00 AM
For reference, I have combo skin, tending towards oily, and no problems at all with acne or pimples, just very mild keratosis pilaris along left jawline. Well, I needed a moisturizer, so I filched this from my mom. Instant HG. It's really thick, and goes on white, but half an hour later it's completely vanished. My skin is plump, glowing, dewy, and soft, and the appearance of my KP has actually diminished. Works for my mom and sister too, and they have different skin types (mom=dry, sister=oily). Highly recommended, will definitely be buying some more.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
Haruhi13 2/11/2012 11:04:00 PM
My True Match is W3, and it really is TRUE. :D I was shocked and somewhat suspicious at first, since I was highly doubtful such a light shade was actually my skin color, but I went ahead and purchased it anyways. Happily, it's precisely the color of my face (at least the skin in between all the freckles...). It's medium to heavy coverage, and a fairly thick liquid. It's also quite blendable, but be sure (and this is a MUST) to moisturize and exfoliate any dry/flaky skin before applying, because this stuff will cling to flakes. However, on properly moisturized skin there are no problems. It's oil-free, which is definitely nice, and I haven't had any problems with it 'melting' off. Another thing I like about it is the subtle shimmer, which really does give your face a healthy glow. (Note: I don't use primer or setting powder.) The only downsides to this foundation are the dreadful bottle design (way too much product comes out each time, no pump) and the price ($8 for a teeny bottle of drugstore foundation?! Really?!) Verdict: DEFINITELY will repurchase. :)

It's fairly good, nothing really special. Leaves my lips soft right after but doesn't seem to work in the long run.
