Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
Hannahbby2 8/20/2010 12:04:00 AM
I discovered this product by accident while I was at the beach. I got super tan and all my powders were way too light, so I ended up going on a mad hunt for a powder. I found this at walgreens, and decided to give it a try. I love it! It gives a great matte finish, and keeps the shine away all day long. I use it with a large paddle brush like the MAC 150, and dust it only in my T zone. (I have dry combination skin, so only my T zone is oily.) I find that if I use it alone or all over my face, it looks a bit powdery and accentuates any dryness on my cheeks. Overall, I really love this product and will continue to purchase it! :)

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm
Hannahbby2 8/12/2010 10:51:00 PM
I'm really impressed with these lipstains. I tried the Covergirl ones when they first came out, and I HATED those. They were way too drying and didn't last long at all on my lips. The Maybelline ones were streaky. I love the idea of a lip balm included with the lipstain, since lipstains can be pretty drying on their own. The lipbalm itself is really nice, very moisturizing and gives a glossy look to the lips. I have two of these, Beloved and Passion. Beloved is a really pretty mauve-berry color, and Passion is a subtle fuschia pink. Be aware that these go on about a shade or two darker than the color shown. That being said, I love the colors of these. I love berry colors for fall, and lipstains are ideal for me, since I'm still in school and I hate having to re-apply lip products all the time. There's no real smell or taste, which is a good thing. Just like all lipstains, this product WILL accentuate dry patches and do have a tenancy to apply unevenly if you don't exfoliate before. My only gripe about this product is the fact that the lipbalm breaks off. The lipbalm in Beloved (which was the first one I got) broke off the first time I used it. I guess you just have to be careful and try not to press so hard. Overall, a very nice product, I may buy one or two other shades soon. :)

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
Hannahbby2 7/24/2010 11:53:00 AM
HOLY CRAP. I cannot believe it took me this long to buy this blush! I've been hearing about it on MUA for forever, but I always forgot to take a look at it in Sephora. (my closest Sephora is an hour away, so I don't go very often.) Anyway, I went into the sephora in the Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach last week while I was on vacation, and I saw the NARS counter. After swatching this blush, I fell in love. It's the perfect blush for me. This blush gives my cheeks a glow no other blush can achieve. My mom has a blush that is almost identical to Orgasm, called Shy Blush from Mary Kay. The only difference I can detect is that it has a bit more gold undertones, but not as much golden shimmer. (wierd, I know, you'd think it would have more gold shimmer!) I've used this blush for a whole week straight, and it looks brand new. I have a feeling I won't run out any time soon, but I'll definitely repurchase! HG!

Eye Shadow -MAC - AMBER LIGHTS
Hannahbby2 7/22/2010 8:22:00 PM
This eyeshadow is among my top 5 MAC eyeshadows. It's a beautiful deep golden shade, which brings out the golden flecks in my green eyes. I like using this on the lid with Bronze in the crease, or with All That Glitters on the lid and Amber Lights in the crease. It's a frost finish, which is my favorite finish from MAC (besides Starflash - but they're everyone's favorite!) It's so smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend. Unfortunately, mine shattered while I was traveling to florida by plane, but I was able to re-press it and it's good as new! :)

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Whisper 130 (LE)
Hannahbby2 6/29/2010 10:04:00 PM
I have come to the conclusion that I really hate the MAC lipglasses. (except the cremesheens, LOVE THEM!) They are just way to sticky for my liking. I really wish I would have had this epiphany sooner, because I have collected lots of them! Back to the topic of this review. I have now moved on to the Super Lustrous glosses insead, and this has got to be one of my favorite ones. Pink Whisper is a pretty, shimmery, milky pink. It's very opaque, and not sticky at all. There is no appearant smell, maybe just a faint sweet scent - nothing overpowering. The consistency reminds me of the cremesheen glasses from MAC, opaque, but not sticky. I will be buying a back up of this gloss, since it is LE. Hopefully Revlon will have a change of heart and make it permanent!

Misc Beauty Tools -Banana Boat - Dark Tanning Oil (SPF 4)
Hannahbby2 6/20/2010 10:18:00 PM
*I am reviewing the spf 8 version. Okay, so I know this isn't exactly good for you. But, I've never gotten burnt with this stuff, because all you need is 30 minutes and you've got a nice tan! It has Carrot and Banana oils, and it smells amazing! It is a bit greasy, but it soaks in after a while. A must have for summer!

Lotions/ Creams -Hawaiian Tropic - Lime Coolada Moisturizer
Hannahbby2 6/20/2010 10:11:00 PM
This stuff is awesome. It's cheap, moisturizes extremely well... and did I mention it smells divine? I bought my 16 oz bottle for around $6 dollars. It's never greasy-feeling, and the scent lasts a fairly long time on the skin. Great product, will continue to repurchase!

Palettes -E.L.F. - Elements 4-pan Compact
Hannahbby2 6/4/2010 7:58:00 PM
I recently bought a few of these at target for travel, since I'm going on a 10 day cruise in 4 days and I needed to pack some eyeshadows, but I didn't want to take 4 MAC palettes lol. (which was my other alternative) I'm very impressed with these, they are great quality, nice to look at, very durable and has a huge mirror, which is great for traveling. These really don't look like they should be only $1! I was concidering buying a few MAC quads, but these are so much better of a deal, and the ELF ones have a mirror. The magnets in the palette are really strong, the eyeshadows don't move around in the palette, and the clasp holds the palette together nicely. I don't think I'll be buying any MAC quads, EVER, I'll just stick to the ELF ones. :) Like everyone else, I really do wish ELF would make a palette that holds 15 shadows, so I wouldn't have to pay $14 every time.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
Hannahbby2 5/31/2010 5:12:00 PM
I have this in honeysuckle honeydew and summer fruit. This is my favorite lip balm at the moment, and I've been reaching for it quite a lot lately, so I figured I should review it! Like everyone else, I was suckered into this for the packaging. It's so cute and fun to use. I like that you don't have to twist anything up, the product is right there for you when you remove the cap. I love the smell of this one, it's very fruity and summery. The balm itself is very moisturizing and not at all waxy. It lasts a fairly long time, and when it does wear off, my lips still feel soft and moisturized. (unlike my former love, Nivea A kiss of moisture.) Love this lip balm, I'm currently trying to hunt down the Lemon Drop with spf 15 in it, and my rite aid never seems to have it. :(

Brows -Wet 'n' Wild - Brow & liner pencil
Hannahbby2 5/30/2010 9:35:00 PM
I use the shade taupe for my brows, I have dark blonde hair with a natural reddish tinge. It's such a natural looking color, and it doesn't make my eyebrows look ashy. I like that there is wax already in this, so I don't have to worry about setting it with a wax or brow gel. It is a little dark, so I have to be careful and only do light strokes, and blend it in with a mascara spoolie. Another thing I love about this product is, it's so big! The pencil is really long and will last forever, I've been using it everyday for at least 4 months, and I'm still not finished with it. And for only a dollar, you can't beat it! Great product, extremely affordable, convienent to use! :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - All That Glitters
Hannahbby2 5/26/2010 8:11:00 PM
My favorite MAC eyeshadow! It's a shimmery, pinky beige that brightens the eyes and compliments almost any other neutral shade I have in my collection. I love wearing this alone as a wash of color, or on the lid with bronze or satin taupe in the crease. It's a veluxe pearl texture, which is my favorite from MAC. It's a very smooth formula, but not so soft that you get tons of fallout. I would recommend this eyeshadow to anyone, it will compliment any skin tone. Love it! :)

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
Hannahbby2 5/23/2010 10:01:00 PM
I LOVE this product! Well, I love paintpots in general. Out of the five I have, this one and Rubenesque are probably my favorites. I love using this as a base for just about anything. It looks great under pinks, silvers, shimmery champagne/beige colors like all that glitters, etc. I personally don't need to use a primer under paintpots, but if you are someone with especially oily lids, you may want to use one. Paint Pots are great for keeping eyeshadow vibrant and creasless throughout the day. These things last forever! My oldest one, which happens to be Rubenesque, I have had for a little over a year. It's still just as creamy as the first day I got it! A little tip: Store the paintpots upside-down so the label is facing up. It will allow the moisture to saturate the product, instead of settling to the bottom while the top layer dries out. I definitely recommend everyone to try them out!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Frost Eye Shadow - Swish
Hannahbby2 5/15/2010 11:40:00 PM
I love this eyeshadow! It's such a gorgeous pinkish-raspberry color. Since it's a frost finish, it isn't the most pigmented shadow, but you can build it up to the intensity you want. It's really pretty over a black base like Blackground paint pot or NYX black bean. It brings out the blue duochrome in it. I do this look quite frequently: Grand Entrance in the inner half, Swish on outer half, and Sable in the crease. It makes a wonderful pink and brown look. I've alse used it on the lid with Sketch in the crease, and Phloof as a highlight. It's a great color to have in your collection.

Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick [DISCONTINUED]
Hannahbby2 5/1/2010 4:33:00 PM
Wow, I love these! I have the two limited edition shades, Pink Flash and Wild Berry. Wild berry is a hot pink color with a tiny bit of shimmer. It looks pretty scary and pigmented in the tube, but when blended out, it looks very summery and wearable. Pink Flash is not pink at all, it's a true coral! Just like Wild Berry, Pink Flash is pigmented, but when blended out, it looks gorgeous. A little goes a long way ladies! Don't smear it heavily on your cheeks, or it will look clownish. Just dab a bit on and blend it out with your fingers or a brush like the 188 from MAC. (I prefer the brush) Overall, these are my favorite creme blushes from the drugstore. They remind me a lot of the Cremeblend blushes that came out with the Lillyland collection, but in stick form. I will definitely be buying more of these, Big Apple and Pink Plaza are next on my list! :)

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Hydralicious Featherweight shampoo
Hannahbby2 5/1/2010 12:05:00 AM
Love love love this shampoo and conditioner! I have pretty thin hair with a little bit of natural wave, and this shampoo makes my hair extremely soft and shiny. It doesn't weigh my hair down at all, and it adds nice body to my hair without making it frizzy. It smells AMAZING! I don't understand how a shampoo can smell that good! Honestly, this stuff gives me better results than some salon brands. Love it, will repurchace in a heartbeat! :)
