Sephora has a new line of fragrances called Eau de Vie. There are several EDT's in the line, one of which is Whipped Cream. The others include Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Mint, Coconut, Almond, and a coffee scent that I cannot remember the name of. The Whipped Cream scent is a soft, less cloying version of Hanae Mori Pink Butterfly. It is very subtle and sweet, and is surprisingly long-lasting. The scents are available in 1.7 oz bottles for $18. This is definitely a line that is "begging" to be layered. Bought the Almond, too.

This is definitely one of the "unsung heroes" on the Fragrance Board. Toni Gard is a warm, sexy skin scent. I get heliptrope, a bit of spice, and soft powder. Similar to Strenesse by Gabriele Strehl (another underappreciated skin scent) but different enough to warrant owning both. And did I mention how inexpensive (cheap) it is? After trying some I received in a swap, I got some from ebay (1 oz. bottle for $9.99). The bottle is modern and simple--square frosted glass with a black top. This is a must-have for those who love scents that are warm and soft--but this one has good sillage.

Fragrances -Nemat International - Vanilla Musk

If you are a vanilla lover you must try this!! It is a gorgeous not-too-sweet vanilla with a hint of musk. Subtle, but great sillage. This is a wonderful scent to wear anytime, anywhere. I was lucky enough to receive this in a swap, but will be purchasing a bottle. This is very similar to Ava-Luxe's Vanilla Musk which I adore. Serena at Ava-Luxe used to have this scent in a shea oil, but has since discontinued it. I think this will layer nicely with her EDP. Try this!!

According to the reviewer below, this is a floral and not a foody scent. Makes sense, as this is a primarily rose scent with sweetness and musk. Quite floral upon application, but the drydown is soft and gorgeous--the rose mellows and the sweetness and musk take over. Really pretty.

I received this item in a swap from a lovely MUAer, and was so pleased with it. Years ago (more than I care to mention) I purchased a fragrance in Bloomingdale's called "ONE;" it came in a translucent bottle and the liquid was a light pink--I think it was oil-based and alcohol free. I loved that scent and never saw it again. This is very close. Soft, clean, feminine. Perfect for the warmer months, but I would wear it year round. Thanks to ladylydiebug for sending it!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - American Eagle Real

Real is a new scent from American Eagle Outfitters (there is a men's version, too). This scent is a softer, prettier version of SJP Lovely, and it's Narciso Rodriguez without the "bite." A small amount lasts all day, has great sillage, and the price is right ($12.50 for a .3 oz. roller-ball, and $34.00 for a 1.7 oz. bottle). Wore it today for the first time, and got 4 compliments. Hopefully they will make this for a long time...

The description of this scent is a bit misleading, at least to me, as I get no "nuttiness." This is, however, a lovely sweet vanilla fragrance that does fine on its own, but would be nice layered with other scents. I purchased the oil and the edt and am very pleased with both. A nice addition to a fragrance wardrobe, and a "must" for true vanilla fans.

Fragrances -Chopard - Wish - Pink Diamond

A very pretty, fresh sweet floral fragrance from Chopard. Comparable to a body spray, as it is very light. The bottle is beautiful--a faceted diamond shape with a pale pink liquid. Worth the price for the bottle alone. Very nice for summer and spring, but I probably will not re-purchase, as it is not special enough.

I was dying to try this after reading the reviews here, and comments on the Fragrance board. Fortunately, after a few calls, I was able to find it at Saks. Apparently, this is hot stuff!! It is a lovely, silky oil that adds a subtle sheen. On my skin, I get coconut, aquatic notes, and a hint of floral. Just perfect for the summer; not perfumey or in-your-face. It stays very close to the skin. I liked it so much I bought the Body Tint as well, which is very lightly scented. Definitely seasonal, reasonable at $28.50, and hopefully will be back again next year. This could be a summer staple-scent for me, if the Estee Lauder company complies!! Get ready to write, call, and e-mail them if necessary.

This is THE musk to have if you like clean, soft musks. Lovely, pretty, and fresh, like clean skin. Lasting power is wonderful on me; I put a tiny "test" spray on the back of my hand hours ago and I still smell it. Just terrific!

Devon Violets is a pretty, soft violet fragrance. It is sweet, somewhat powdery, and a bit musty on the drydown. I bought a huge bottle (4 oz.) from the Devon website, and while I am not disappointed (as I bought it unsniffed), I don't think it holds a candle to the lush, green, deep loveliness that is Violetta di Parma.

Fragrances -Keiko Mecheri - Fleurs D' Osmanthus

I finally satisfied a two-year lemming by purchasing this one, at a discount, off the 'bay. Fleurs d' Osmanthus is a smooth, creamy white floral that has a touch of sweetness about it. I find it very hard to describe, but it is a truly lovely scent, and different than many other florals out there. Price is high, but the scent goes a long way and lasts all day. Very pretty.

Arrogance Mix Lime Sugar is the perfect blend of tart limes and sweet sugar. A fresh and lively fragrance that is perfect for summer. Cute packaging, decent price. I left off one lippie for the so-so staying power, but I would definitely repurchase.

This is a lovely, sweet violet scent that manages to be demure and a bit sexy at the same time. Not musty or too powdery, like some violet scents tend to be. Pretty packaging and so inexpensive. A must for violet-lovers.

Fragrances -Ava Luxe - Milk

This scent is another winner from Ava-Luxe. It is warm, sweet and milky with a musky undertone that is just perfect. Perfect for fans of milky-based scents who don't like a buttery or maple-ish note. Love this so much, and the Customer Service is wonderful!! I highly recommend sampling her scents.
