Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Sheer
FlirtyinFL 5/31/2004 11:49:00 AM
I recently purchased this and was very excited to try it. I really love all Neutrogena products, and I have never really had any products. So I tried this for the first time today. As soon as I put it on my face felt very greasy. And the tint barely showed through on my acne-prone skin. Made actually appeared even redder than before. But after about 15 minutes the redness disappeared and the moisturizer soaked in. My face does feel a bit greasy, but that could be solved with some blotting paper or powder. I did not like the sheer coverage because I need more coverage for my pimples and acne scars. But will a little concealer under the moisturizer, it looks very natural. I'd say that if you have sorta dry, normal, or slightly oil skin this is the perfect tinted moisturizer especially with the SPF 30. But acne-prone skin needs a lot more coverage than this.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lifeguard's Choice Weatherproofing Lip Balm
FlirtyinFL 5/31/2004 11:43:00 AM
I bought this around the same time that I bought the regular beeswax balm. I'd say that lifeguard's choice about the same in texture and moisturizing ability. And my lips definately didn't get sunburned. The only problem is that the lip balm turns my lips a very pink color because it is completely white. And after wearing is for awhile the color starts to separate and just cake onto the inside of my lip. Its a bit weird. I'd wouldn't recommend this SPF lip balm. Chapstick and Blistex offer much better balms for cheaper prices.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm

I have tried both the tube and the tin, and I like them both equal. Although the tin as more bang for your buck, most if it ends up on your finger, not your lips. But the consistency of the tin lip balm is very soft and smooth. But if you warm the tin up in your hands, the balm goes on very smoothy. The tube is a lot more practical and lasts a lot longer. And I really love the smell. The peppermind smell is deliciously, very reminscent of candy canes for Christmas. The only downside is you have to reapply pretty often

Lipstick -mark - Fresh Kiss - nekkid
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:46:00 PM
I recently became a mark representative, and I received a few samples, this being on of them. I have been trying to find a good nude lip color without any shimmer that blends right in to my skin tone. This is PERFECT. I absolutely fell in love with it the minute I put it on. And the peppermint scent is just wonderful. I just purchased that full lip color, and I actually got some compliments from guy friends. Guys, noticing makeup, I would have never thought it possible.

Scrubs -Freeman - Plum & Pumice Foot Scrub
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:42:00 PM
I just bought this today and I used it as soon as I got home. It smells so delicious. 5 hours later and my feet still smell like plum and peppermint. I really liked the texture of the scrub, as it wasn't too rough and I could probably use it on my entire body. I really wish I could take the smell and add it to St. Ives medicated face scrub (I use it on feet). It would be the PERFECT foot scrub.

Styling Products -Pantene - Body Builder Mousse
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:40:00 PM
I've used about 5 different types of mousse and this is by far the best. I have ALWAYS had trouble keeping a couple hairs of my hair straight all day long, especially in the humid weather of Florida. And although my hair is naturally fairly straight, in 3 hours I already have kinks in the front. But since using this those kinks never appear from the time I blowdry at 6 in the morning to the time I hit the pillow at 11 PM. And there's an added bonus of the formula reactivated once it gets wet. So I can pull my hair into a quick ponytail, wet the front, and everything stays in place all day long. I'd definately recommend it.

Conditioner -Pantene - Pantene Smooth and Sleek Conditioner
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:36:00 PM
I'd say that Pantene is an absolutely brilliant brand. It works wonders on my hair, especially with all the blowdrying I do. It really is absolutely perfect for my normal hair and I have discovered that I can use it year-round, if I adjust the amount I use. I live in Florida and because of the switch from cold to burning in hell temperatures its hard to find a year-round conditioner. YAY for Pantene!

Shampoo -Pantene - Smooth and Sleek shampoo
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:33:00 PM
I have been using this smooth and sleek conditioner for awhile and thought I should try this. I'd say that its a perfect match. I have normal hair that gets slightly dry in the winter and slightly oily if it hasn't been washed in more than a day. I'd recommend it to anyone who lives in a humid or dry climate as its creamy formula has the right about cleansing without being too dry, like most other shampoos. I have not tried many shampoos (maybe 10 or 15), but I'd say this is my favorite so far.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Daily Pore Cleanser
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:30:00 PM
I stopped using this when my dermatologist recommended I switch to Neutrogena products on account of my acne-prone skin. I'd say this a good daily scrub for oily and maybe slightly acne-prone skin. It was the first cleanser I ever used and it worked wonders. It made my face glow. But as I grew older and puberty hit big time, it was no longer a suitable formula for my skin. I'd recommend to all skin types for it exfoliating and cleansing all in one. Its a very good product that's definately worth a try.

Toners -Neutrogena - Alcohol-Free Toner
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:26:00 PM
I bought this when I went up to Ohio on vacation during winter. I have acne-prone skin and live in hot, humid Florida. But I figured my skin might need some extra moisture while I was up there. I'd say it did I very good job. It didn't make me breakout. But when I returned to Florida and continued using it, I couldn't help but think I was just puttin water on my face day after day. Eventually spring rolled around and I had to stop using it. I'd say that if you have normal/dry skin this product is absolutely perfect for you. If you have oily/acne-prone skin, I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you use the toner as a moisturizer. That might work.

Toners -Neutrogena - Clear Pore Oil-Controlling Astringent
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:23:00 PM
Alchohol on pimples and skin is never really a good idea. You make thing its a godsent when your pimples are drying up. But it can cause you to break out more due to its harsh drying properties. I'd say that you really don't need an astringent when you can acne-prone skin. Just a good cleanser and an oil-free moisturizer that maybe works as a toner or astringent.

Treatments -Biore - Ultra Deep Cleansing pore strips
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:20:00 PM
I have been using this product for past 4 years. I'd say it does an okay job of removing pimples. Everytime I return to the store to buy it again, I ask myself if I really need it. Because I only use the strips on my nose (which never gets pimples) it doesn't do very much harm. But it doesn't do very much good. I think I just enjoy seeing how much gunk as been removed from my nose when I use it. If you have a LOT of blackheads, I would suggest it. Unless you have the money to have a facialist extract the blackheads, which is a much better idea.

Scrubs -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Gentle Scrub
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:18:00 PM
I have been using this for the past year, and I'd say that when used in moderation (ie once a week) on acne-prone skin, it can be helpful to exfoliate any pimples that are drying up. Stir clear of using it around major pimples as it can really irritate the situation and cause it to take longer for the pimple to heal.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control
FlirtyinFL 5/30/2004 10:15:00 PM
The worst facial scrub you could ever buy. It says that it is for acne-prone skin. They must have monkeys, not dermatologists, working for them cause exfoliating your skin with this stuff can really cause horrible, borrible breakouts. But why the four lippies. Because it is the BEST foot scrub I have ever used. I wear sandals (or go barefoot) 24/7 and I always need my feet in tip top shape. Thanx to this stuff, my feet stay soft, smooth, and beautiful. The funny thing is the stuff St. Ives markets as hand & foot scrub is barely rough enough to do anything.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum
FlirtyinFL 5/15/2004 6:00:00 PM
I use the lite formula on my straight hair. It does wonders at combating frizz (as the name implies). The applcation can be tricky. It would be better in a pump bottle. I spilled the first bottle because the cap is a bit of a nuisance.
