Polishes -Essie - Capri
Ethabella 10/22/2010 3:52:00 AM
Every essie polish that I've used seems to have these characteristics in mind: easy application, doesn't dry too fast while you're applying and great brush size. This colour is a very bring orange, perfect for summer. It's sunny all year long where I live so it's a good colour to wear all the time.

Polishes -Essie - Fishnet Stockings
Ethabella 10/21/2010 8:41:00 AM
My essie reviews always start the same way: great packaging, doesn't dry too fast, great brush size and easy application. This colour is gorgeous! Very deep red, cherry coloured. The name makes me laugh, I suppose one could wear it with fishnet stockings but also, it would go perfectly with a black evening gown. At the same time, it seems like such a classic that could be worn with anything, really!

Sunscreen -Bioderma - Photoderm MAX Lait/Fluid SPF 100 PPD 31
Ethabella 10/16/2010 4:11:00 PM
This is my favourite sunblock of all time. I've used a lot of different ones before sticking to just this one. Firstly, it's incredibly light. My skin breaks out if I use heavy products on my face, yet it's remained clear and break-out free while using this one. This is probably my third tube! However, I must say the tube is definitely not my favourite thing about it. There seems to be some dried up product at its inner tip a lot (under the cap). Maybe it's just us misusing it, and it's not really a huge issue.

Treatments -Natura Bisse - C+C Vitamin Fluid SPF 10
Ethabella 10/16/2010 4:02:00 PM
I actually like how this product smells! If I try to inhale it, it does smell bad...but generally it reminds me of oranges. The good thing about this product is that it didn't break me out. It feels very light on my skin, and I even use it under my regular moisturizer. No breakouts or anything! My skin felt more moisturized lately! But there are a couple of turn offs. First one is the price, second, it makes my skin feel really tight...I guess I should have expected that? On some occasions, it burns if it gets on my upper cheek/close to my eye area. Not really sure if the burning is caused by something else, because obviously my skin isn't that sensitive every day. But it's still a cause for concern because my products shouldn't really make things feel that way.

Scrubs -Kiehls - Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion
Ethabella 10/14/2010 1:06:00 AM
I wanted to wait a few weeks before reviewing it, especially since I didn't use it as often at first. The scrub feels slightly harsh if kept on the face/rubbed on the face too long. I've been trying to use it once or twice a week, my skin generally "looks" okay but it's quite bumpy from my under-the-skin breakouts, especially around my chin area. This scrub keeps my chin-area bump-free for a few days, usually that is my cue to use it again. I'm not going to say I hope it makes the bumps go away forever, no product can work miracles. Normally, I like to apply a hydrating mask after using this but I noticed that the effects aren't different even when I don't. As long as I wash it off well, tone and apply moisturizer, my skin is happy!

Polishes -Essie - Mesmerize
Ethabella 10/2/2010 6:58:00 AM
I am a big fan of blue nail polish. I've seriously tried many and own many so I jumped at the opportunity to try this one. It's a great classy and ageless kind of blue that I think could be worn for any kind of occasion. My only peeve is that it seems to need three coats to look the way I want it to, and that makes it a bit annoying to dry. Essie's textures and formula, however, are as perfect as always.

Polishes -Essie - Greenport
Ethabella 10/2/2010 6:12:00 AM
I love this colour. Essie's polishes are great, easy to apply and won't dry while being applied. I've never had any trouble with storing the bottles as well, no dry polish in the bottle like some of my other polishes. I first bought this in the summer and we were going to the beach a lot, so I kept associating this colour with summer. However, I've started using it again and it goes with any kind of outfit. I don't mind a wacky touch now and then, so even if I'm wearing something dark I don't think it's a bad thing to have teal-coloured nails!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Masaki Matsushima - Mintea
Ethabella 9/30/2010 3:42:00 PM
Although I find the name 'Mintea' very cute, it doesn't smell like mint-tea at all! In fact, I don't really smell any mint in it. I do smell tea- more like green tea. The scent itself reminds me of jasmine green tea, but there's more to the mix and I can't really tell what it is. The fragrance is very light and subtle. One of my favourites as I dislike strong ones. I find a few sprays to be enough, otherwise it gets a bit strong for me.

Eyeliner -MAC - Liquidlast Liner -- Blue Herizon
Ethabella 9/27/2010 11:07:00 AM
The colour is absolutely amazing. Usually I find LiquidLast liners a bit difficult to apply- but somehow this was the easiest one. It has a slightly different texture than the other one I had, maybe the other one wasn't stored properly or something... It does take a little while to dry, and while it is in the process of drying it tends to look a bit ugly, but once it has dried it looks great. It lasts a long time and is completely waterproof from my experience! I didn't like that I had to get a separate eyemake up remover for it, but it is kind of worth it given the fact that nothing else removes it.

Scrubs -The Body Shop - Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub
Ethabella 9/26/2010 2:19:00 PM
This did wonders for my feet. My heels are very dry and almost cracked. This scrub helped remove all the dead skin and made my feet a little easier to moisturize. I use it 2-3 times a week and love it! After using it in the shower I follow it up with smothering my feet with lotion or cream and then keep a pair of cotton socks on till morning, my feet look and feel much better. Will definitely purchase again, may look into buying the body shop foot cream because not many creams are moisturizing enough for my feet even.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Olive Body Butter
Ethabella 9/26/2010 12:59:00 PM
I love TBS body butters and want to try as many of them as possible! For some reason, it seems that every one I've tried has a slightly different texture. However, the Olive one has the type of texture that I prefer over some of the others. It's not very moisturizing for my feet, but it works pretty well for the rest of my body. I like the Olive scent, it's very subtle!

Skincare - Body -The Body Shop - Refreshing Foot Spray
Ethabella 9/21/2010 1:25:00 PM
I feel that this product is more of a luxury for me. It's probably not something I need or will always include in my skincare regime, but I like it. It cools and freshens up my feet when they feel dry or tired. It doesn't moistruize or soften or anything, but it just makes them feel cool, especially after a workout. Not something that I will always go out to buy, but will definitely refill my bottle from time to time.

Deodorants -Lancome - Bocage Deodorant-Anti Perspirant Roll On
Ethabella 9/21/2010 1:21:00 PM
This isn't my main deodorant, but it has been a good replacement since my main one doesn't seem to be in stock that often. It keeps me fresh for the whole day, I reapply it for the gym because I don't want to risk it and I do sweat a lot but with this deodorant, everything is great!

Cleansers -Laura Mercier - One-step cleanser
Ethabella 9/12/2010 1:08:00 PM
At first I started using this as a cleanser, and I was amazed by how soft my face felt after washing it, however it still felt like it was too gentle with my skin type. Then again, it is worth mentioning that I used it with a clarisonic mia, and a sensitive brush. However, I've started using it after that solely as a make up remover (and cleansing my face with something different). I tend to use a bit more than recommended, especially to remove my eye make up. But it has been absolutely worth it. Cleans make up off my face pretty well, removes eye make up well and very gentle on my eyes (no irritation whatsoever). I am very happy with this product and will purchase it again if I travel as it isn't sold where I live. I'd also be willing to use it as a cleanser if I get a different brush on my clarisonic!

Treatments -Dermalogica - Medibac Overnight Clearing Gel
Ethabella 9/8/2010 5:43:00 PM
Using this all over my face made my forehead go crazy oily..and usually my forehead is NOT oily (combination skin, but no oily T zone). I've decided to use it to spot-treat my skin, and it hasn't been anything really amazing really. For the price, I doubt I'd pick it up again. I've gotten similar results from other tea tree based treatment gels that were much more affordable.
