Although I HATE that this is a loose powder, I LOVE the color. It looks really dark and dirty, but it is the best shade for my skin. I have a lot of pink/ruddiness to my skin tone, and most blushes look too light, shiny, unnatural, and ridiculous against my very rosy cheeks. I love that Thistle has NO shimmer, and enhances my natural cheek color. Great stuff....I hope to find a compact this shade someday, but until then, I will stick with Thistle.

Moisturizers -Murad - Oil-Control Mattifier

I think this stuff is great; it doesn't break me out, and it seems to soothe my temperamental skin. I am very sensitive to sunscreens, but this doesn't irritate my skin, and keeps oil at bay. I have fairly oily skin, and although my face does eventually get oily throughout the day, this is by far better than any other moisturizer I've used with sunscreen in it. It's a bit pricey, but after an exhaustive search, I'm glad to have found it.

Moisturizers -Olay - Active Hydrating Cream - Oil Free

This is a review for Olay Active Hydrating Cream Original Formula--the pink one in the jar/tub. I love this stuff....it is the only face cream that hydrates enough, but doesn't break me out or leave me in an oil slick come morning. I use this as my night cream, underneath my Epiduo. It works beautifully for my sensitive, acne prone skin, plus it is cheap and readily available. I use quite a bit of it, but because of the price point, I don't feel guilty!

This has seriously saved my skin. Since the birth of my second child several years ago, and since going off the pill last year, my skin has gone completely insane with hormonal, cystic acne. I have oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin with rosacea tendencies, so I was very wary to use anything with BP in it. But this stuff is miraculous. I was on tetracyclines, other antibiotics, regular Differin, Yasmin, clindamycin, etc., but now all I'm using is the Epiduo, and my skin looks better than it has in years. I experienced some major redness and peeling at first, but I stuck with it, and now I'm so glad I did. I'm so relieved to have found a regimen and a product that actually work. Whew!

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

I use this to remove my makeup every night; I squirt a bit out in my hand, and rub it all over my face. I follow up with a Pond's Original Clean Cleansing Towelette, and then wash with Purpose. I also use a few drop in my face cream at night if my skin has gotten flaky from using Epiduo. This stuff is great--it helps combat flaky skin, and feels really nice at the end of the day when taking off makeup. I think it has really helped to soften my skin, and combat my cystic acne as well. I have sensitive, acne-prone, oily skin, and jojoba oil doesn't break me out at all. Love it!

Fragrances -Vera Wang - Vera Wang

I wore this on my wedding day, and despite being ridiculously hot and humid, it stayed with me all day, and kept my sweaty self smelling good. Scent it is key to memory for me, so this one always makes me smile, as it reminds me of my wedding! A great summer wedding fragrance!

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Trio - Cafe au Lait #105

I always return to this eye makeup. I have used Dior, Stila, Clinique, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Nars, Shu Uemura,(to name a few!) but this trio is it for me. I love the colors, the natural coverage, the cost and that it is readily available anywhere. The colors look great with either brown or black liner; I mainly use the two darker shades; the white is a little light for me, but other than that, it is perfect. Love!

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash

HG of cleansers. I switched to Cetaphil after my dermatologist ordered me to, but I would wake up every morning with a new breakout on my already horrible, acne-ridden sensitive, oily skin. I stuck it out with the Cetaphil for awhile, but eventual my common sense won out, and I went back to Purpose. Literally overnight, the red bumps had lessened, and my skin began settling down again. Love. It. I have tried probably hundreds of other cleansers, and I always return to Purpose.
