Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Tutti Dolci-Creme Brulee Lip Gloss [DISCONTINUED]
Blinkers345 12/20/2004 2:09:00 PM
These new Tutti Dolce l/g are very cute, but IMO they arent not worth $10...so I'm glad I got it free with the coupon they were sending out.
Creme Brulee is a light transparent pink/beige color with lots of silver shimmer. It just goes on my lips as shimmer, and I usually hate that, but I'll hang on to this b/c it smells soooo good. Its really nice, like cake batter or buttercream :) The texture isnt all that either, its sort of thin and oily, but it was free so Im not complaining.

Blush -Neutrogena - Soft Suede Blush
Blinkers345 12/20/2004 1:57:00 PM
I really love Neutrognea blushes, they're such good quality for drugstore, but unfortunately they come with really high prices as well.
Soft Suede is a tawny peach-tan color with gentle shimmer, very pretty. Its a perfect "barely there" blush for my MMM skin :)

Lip Gloss -NARS - Chihuahua
Blinkers345 11/27/2004 11:10:00 AM
This is my second NARS gloss (my first was Sweet Dreams), and Im pretty happy! Chihuahua is a medium toned creamy nude-ish pink with beige & rose tones. Its a wonderful ylbb for me. Theres no shimmer, and the texture is very creamy & thick, and its got really good staying power. The only thing I have to complain about is the scent, its really gross and plastick-ey, so I took off a l/s.

Palettes -Revlon - Get Glossy Lip Palette in Champagne Toasts
Blinkers345 10/14/2004 9:52:00 PM
Revlon is generally a little too overpriced, but I think $7 for this palette was pretty decent. The palette's wells are deep, and the brush isnt that bad.
This is from the 2004 Holiday Collection, which is identical to the 03 one. This is the same as the Nude Lip Palette from last year, Im pretty sure. It comes with 5 colors - a light shimmery champagne, a medium shimmery peachy brown, a creamy nude-peach, a darker creamy toffee brown and a sheer creamy mahogany-coffee color. All very pretty, but I wish the texture was a little softer and not so 'gummy'. Overall a good purchase, I see myself getting alot of use out of it. EDIT: This irritated my lips a great deal after about a months use. The scent is also a bit too strong for me, and I'm not even that sensetive to smells.

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Multi-colored Peach to glow
Blinkers345 10/14/2004 9:47:00 PM
I've always thought PF was too expensive for a drugstore brand, so I wanted till it was BOGOF at Ulta, and checked it out. I DO see why its so expensive, its a great product, but the prices are just ridiculous. $13 for a drugstore powder is absolutely insane! Couple more bucks and I could go buy MAC. The packaging is pretty nice too...it comes with a mirror and a brush (not that bad, suprisingly).
Peach to Glow is a lovely mix of matte peaches, melons, whites, with a few patches of shimmery tan. Im a MAC NC35, a little more on the tanned side and this looks fantastic on me! I use it as blush though, not as highlighter. The rest of the shades of this powder looked too harsh for me, but Im really really glad I picked this one up!

Blush -New York Color - Sutton Place Peach 656A
Blinkers345 10/14/2004 9:43:00 PM
I've thought about getting this soo many times, but I always put it off, figuring that I had other blushes that were similar. While thats true, Im really glad I shelled out the $2 for this! I got the last one in the store too :)
Sutton Place Peach is a matte, true neutral peach shade, with a hint of brown. It looks amazing on tanned skin, but I think it'd look just as good on fair people. Its similar to LOreal Charmed Peach, but without the shimmer and more brown tones. Very, very pretty blush. Best $2 I've spent in a long time :D

Lip Gloss -Almay - Whipped Gloss - Spiced Rum
Blinkers345 10/9/2004 5:25:00 PM
This is one of a few LE colors that Almay released for the fall 04 season. Spiced Rum is a shimmery bronzed-berry type color, very shimmer. It's extremely similar to Chanel Blizzard (which I also have). Its a bit more pink than Blizzard though. It has a texture different from most of the Whipped Glosses, its most similar to Pinched Pink, and it has the same amount of glitter/shimmer. Its very nice, and I dont doubt I'll get alot of use out of it :)

Blush -mark - Tint, Tint Lip and Cheek Gel - Nectar
Blinkers345 8/25/2004 10:13:00 PM
I just got all of these in a swap with a lovely lady, and I couldnt be happier! These tint tints are exactly what I need in a blush...pretty, soft color, and amazing staying power. I put two sheer coats on in the morning on bare skin (im SUPER oily...use up to 5 blotting sheets a day), and it lasted the entire day. That's unheard of for me! These are packaged in tiny little pump bottles (not more than 3 inches tall)...I was pretty suprised at the size when I got them. They're about the same size as MAC lipstick, which makes them extremely portable. The texture is good, a gel type that absorbs fast and is easy to apply. My only gripe is that it majorly stains the fingers (even soap doesnt get it out!). Ive yet to try this as a lipstain, but Im sure it'll work well for that too :)
Nectar is a shimmery peachy bronze with gold shimmer. Very pretty, but not exactly a blush. Its more of a liquid bronzer, but its got amazing staying power :)

Rosebud is a dark reddish burgundy color without shimmer in the pump, but its a pinky-coral on my MMM C35 skin. I love it :)

Blossom looks to be a bright, candy apple red shade without shimmer. On my MMM, C35 skin, it goes on a soft pinky-red shade, like the natural flush I get from running. Its pretty similar to my Tarte Cheek Stain in Tickled Peach. For $6, these are a steal!

Petal is a dark reddish pink with tiny bits of shimmer. Very pretty :) Gives my MMM skin a nice rosy glow.

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam V
Blinkers345 8/21/2004 3:44:00 PM
I've wanted a Viva Glam l/s for a long time, esp since I support the cause...but I couldnt find a shade that worked for me. I was so happy they decided to create a neutral one :)
VGV is a medium neutral pink with gold shimmer. Unlike my other lustres, the shimmer in this isnt fine, and I find its chunky sometimes. When the l/s wears off, the shimmer is still there, so I have to reapply this one alot for it to look good. Im not liking the texutre of this as much as my other lustre's, but it sure is pretty :)

Lip Gloss -mark - De-Luscious Lip Pot - Decadent
Blinkers345 8/21/2004 12:18:00 PM
A lovely swapper included this as an extra in one of her packages to me :)
Decadent is a sheer mauvey pink with tons of gold shimmer, reminds me of a sheerer MAC Cultured lipglass. The texture is nice and sticky, and it has a good mint scent which I really like. I dont feel a plumping effect though, but thats ok, I have pretty decent sized lips as it is. I really like this, but I wish it came with more product (about 1/4 of the container is filled, if that...)

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Aqua Paradise
Blinkers345 8/21/2004 12:15:00 PM
This is a lovely aqua-green color with lots of gold shimmer. I think the gold shimmer can account for it working on alot people. It always reminds me of a mermaids tail :)
For a drugstore e/s, I think this has a pretty nice, soft texture. Its soft, but not too powdery. The pigment is good, but it doesnt have the best saying power when dry. When its wet, it stays on just as well as any MAC e/s. Good color to have for $3.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Illusion [03]
Blinkers345 8/21/2004 12:13:00 PM
I cannot really wear pink e/s at all..every single attempt I've made to try it has turned out to be a disaster (MAC Seedy Pearl, Sushi Flower etc). This is one that actually looks decent on me.
It's a light shimmery pink with a heavy gold iridescence. It can look good on me, but some days it doesnt. Its a good eye-brightener. Unique enough to keep, especially since it was only $3.
