Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
AuNatural716 2/22/2012 1:45:00 PM
HORRIBLE! I can't believe the great reviews on this...I used this once and my face turned red and blotchy immediately and felt burned! The scent on this was insanely strong too, and gave me a headache! This ended up going back to the store and as I was returning this product, the cashier asked me if it burned my skin too because that's what happened to her when she tried this cleanser.....I would definitely rec either Purpose barsoap or J&J baby wash over this! They have similar ingredients but are nowhere near irritating like this product is....

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Pressed Powder
AuNatural716 2/22/2012 1:18:00 PM
The only color that actually matched my skin ended up oxidizing too a horrible orange by the end of the day! Wanted to love this because of its cheap price (only $5 at Ulta!) and it's mica-free short ingredient list, but I'm sad to say that it may be a bit drying as well, and like I said becomes ORANGE! Plus all the starting colors are off anyways! Maybellin needs to improve on their color choices in most all their face makeup..

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto - Waterproof
AuNatural716 2/4/2012 9:13:00 PM
my new HG mascara! Exactly what I look for in a mascara, and I've tried TONS of them!!! Glossy dark black formula with a brush that takes my lashes to new heights! Even better than my old HG--Maybelling Volume Turbo Boost WP, because Stiletto pumps them up to be sooo much longer and the effect lasts all day! My lashes look SOOO long and pretty, and this is something that all of the other brands could not do! Best part of all--it's buildable, so I can go from a natural pretty look to a va-va-voom night out look with just a few extra swipes =) UPDATE: Though I initially loved this, I found that over time the formula thickened and clumped up, making my lashes look a little spidery and flakey with use. Too bad, because I really like everything else about this mascara! Guess it's back to my HG, Maybelline Turbo Blast WaterProof since it seems to be better at staying smooth..

Styling Products -Pantene - Volumizing Root Lifter Spray Gel

Did some weird things to my hair, didn't like the way it looked. Still had some frizz too, so I'm sticking to traditional gel formulas because I get better/less crunchy results from them.

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version
AuNatural716 2/4/2012 9:03:00 PM
UGH. Would be a decent foundation if it didn't turn stinkin ORANGE! Bought it in the lightest shade and had to return it the next day b/c of this, but if Maybelline just gets their colors fixed up, this would be a good foundation, comparable to ColorStay without having extracts and being so annoyingly resistant.

Shampoo -Dove - Daily Moisture Therapy
AuNatural716 1/11/2012 1:08:00 AM
Cleans my hair without stripping it, no random breakouts anywhere (like I had to deal with from previous shampoo/conditioner trials), and affordable at Sam's club--love it!

Conditioner -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Conditioner
AuNatural716 1/11/2012 1:05:00 AM
HORRIBLE! Wish I could give this a negative rating! Thought I liked this at first, but then cystic breakouts began appearing not only on my face, but on my neck!! Even after I removed this from my bathroom, I'm pretty sure I got some of this conditioner on my facial bar soap, and ended up clogging and breaking out my entire face instead of just near my hairline! HATE this because now I'm slowly recovering from that..switched to Dove and am loving it!

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Benzaclin Gel
AuNatural716 1/11/2012 12:55:00 AM
Insurance helped cover some of this so it only cost $30, which is cheap for Rx acne stuff, but this is awesome! It dries up and clears out many of the most horrific cysts I get on my jawline..though it can be drying and make my skin flaky, it is still a good product imo, and I've tried many BP products. I spot it on cysts and always wake up with clearer skin than the night before, and it slowly brings even the most monstrous cysts to head. Plus, the packaging is amazing b/c it comes with a pump that lets you prevent container contamination.

Styling Products -Farouk CHI - Chi Silk Infusion
AuNatural716 1/1/2012 7:42:00 PM
Thought this was my HG hair serum before, but I did not like how much of a heavy oily residue it leaves EVERYWHERE. In my hair, on my hands, and now all over ever since the stupid flimsy bottle spilled in my house recently. I also don't like the wheat extract that this contains because I am easily sensitive to excess botanical ingredients. Though this leaves my hair shiny (and slightly greasy sometimes), I have found the Frizz Ease Thermal Protection Serum to be much better than this, especially in terms of packaging and texture.

Eyeliner -Prestige - Waterproof Eyeliner
AuNatural716 1/1/2012 7:38:00 PM
Thought this was my HG liner because it is SOOOOO black, which I love. I think it probably works better in the waterline, but outside of the waterline (like I usually use it), it smudges horribly! Also, I think there's something slightly irritating/allergic about this, because my eyes do seem a tad irritated when I wear it. I just think there might better things out there, and am looking to try L'Oreal or Stila some time soon.

Eyeliner -New York Color - Eye Liner Pencil in 921A (Black)
AuNatural716 1/1/2012 1:24:00 PM
After thinking I loved Prestige for awhile, I realized it smudged ridiculously and gave me racoon eyes soon after putting it on. I decided to try another liner, and looked into many reviews before deciding to purchase this 99 cent gem! No smudging all night, no irritation WHATSOEVER (which now I even think the Prestige might have been somewhat irritating), great pigmentation (although I do only wish it could be a bit darker), and obviously an awesome price! I think I won't even bother looking at other liners, unless I want to put it in the waterline (which Prestige is better for btw). But this works GREAT for tightlining, which is why Iove it so!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Luminoso
AuNatural716 1/1/2012 1:10:00 PM
This is a GORGEOUS color with a drugstore price and department store quality! This is a peachy, slightly pearlescent baked blush, which is EXACTLY what I had been looking for, without getting something that would irritate my insanely sensitive skin or cost me too much. I considered getting MAC, but apparently they use bismuth oxychloride in their blushes, and I have gradually noticed breakout issues when using my MAC blushes everyday. But this is AMAZING! No breakouts, beautiful color pay off, gorgeous look when in package, great price (I think it was $6.99 at Target for it)!! LOVE IT, and I am so excited to keep on using it to make the apples of my cheeks pop! I knew to expect great quality after trying the "Luminous" Minerals blush, which is also awesome!

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal Protection Formula
AuNatural716 1/1/2012 12:57:00 PM
Switched to this from Chi Serum and I LOVE this! It makes my hair sooooo defrizzed and shiny, and works great with my flat iron!! I love this much better than the Chi Serum especially because of how AMAZING the dispensing pump is! It makes it so much easier to travel and there's less of a chance for spillage with it. Will definitely repurchase because I like this better than both Chi and BioSilk, and it's easier to access as well. UPDATE: Far too greasy for my hair, I realized this after some time because I got breakouts wherever my hair landed. So now I'm looking for a protective straightening cream to leave in rather than a serum.

Pressed Powders -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin pressed powder
AuNatural716 12/30/2011 8:13:00 PM
HG! The ABSOLUTE BEST powder for super sensitive, acne-prone skin! I went through TONS of reviews in productville, tried out tons of products first-hand, and never seemed to find something that did not contain irritating or comedogenic ingredients! This is absolutely AMAZING! Not only is it talc-free, but it has nothing that's gonna end up breaking you out! I tried the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers pressed powder first, but realized it had mica in it which can definitely be irritating for some people, and since I've switched, my skin is gradually getting clear! This is my go-to makeup everyday and it has really great coverage for a powder! My only complaint is that there is very minimal color choice, but I found one that is relatively close to my skintone, even though it is rather yellow against my pink undertones, but nothing really noticeable....LOVE LOVE LOVE this! UPDATE: Sadly, although I honestly fell in love with this, I have been suffering from deep nickel-sized cysts of breakouts all along my jawline where I put this to cover up acne-scarring...this is such a horrendous breakout that I have replaced everything else for but yet it still has been getting worse, so I have nothing more than to attribute it to this new product in my collection..dropped down to 3 lippes from a 5, and seeing if switching back to the Mineral Sheers kind will calm down this horrible storm of acne...=( UPDATE AGAIN: Omg, after retrying this again one more time for two days, I have realized that my supposed breakouts are actually a contact dermatitis reaction to this powder...This is so heartbreaking yet odd because the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers powder did not have this bad of an effect, and I am devestated because I thought I was in love with this powder's better coverage...I think the extract ingredients (FeverFew) may be to blame because I've had a reaction similar to this before to an Almay product with excessive extract ingredients...this makes me especially upset because this horrendous breakout will take me weeks to clear up and it has put me in a bit of a depression to see my face...warning: sensitive skin people, beware!
