Eye Shadow -Chanel - Variations Quad
rated 4 of 5

Great quad - practical colors you can wear again and again. My only complaint is I *love* the almond color and you can't get it in a single. It works perfect under the brow for lightening and highlighting. It also blends perfectly with the contour color. Expensive but worth it.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose

It suprises me this didn't rate higher. I absolutely LOVE this mascara. I usually have to use at least 2 mascara's to get the volume I want. I like my lashes to look very thick, lush yet defined. So far this is the only mascara I have found that can do all of those things. Plus, I haven't had any problems with clumping. Great stuff!

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - sculpting foam
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 6/14/2005 3:26:00 PM

I love this mousse. I've tried many others, but keep coming back to this. I have long naturally curly hair and use this over the Paul Mitchell super sculpt. Then I scrunch the ends to enhance my curls. If you have thin hair that gets weighed down easily - you might want to try his mousse for extra body. I think the price is fair, but you get a better value if you buy the bigger can.

Moisturizers -DDF - Ultra Rich Moisturizing Cream
rated 4 of 5
Aseretmarie 5/11/2005 11:32:00 AM

I really like this moisturizer. I use it at night on top of my serum and eye cream. I tried it for my daytime moisturizer, but by mid morning I had a shiny nose so I just use this at night now. I think it's really reasonably priced and was impressed with the ingredient list: Shea Butter Squalane Sodium Ascorbate (Vit. C) Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit. E) Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) Green Tea Extract

Shampoo -KMS California - Color Vitality Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Aseretmarie 4/11/2005 6:21:00 PM

My hairdresser explained to me that this is not a cleansing shampoo - it's for depositing color (to change tone). She said you must shampoo with a regular shampoo, either before or after using this. I shampoo with my regular shampoo first, then use the KMS shampoo, then my conditioner. I've been using it once every other week and am happy with the results. It tones down the gold/yellow without giving my hair a weird tone. It also has a nice scent, not overpowering. I would repurchase.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Age Correct Growth Treatment [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 3/18/2005 5:04:00 PM

I almost didn't review this because all the things I would say have been said. But since this really is so good, I will. I use this as a base coat. Not really crazy about the color by itself, but as a basecoat the color stays on great. I use this first, then two coats of polish and Seche as a top coat. My polish has been lasting about a week. I probably could squeeze a few more days if I used another clear coat inbetween. I was using Nailtiques (sp) and liked it, my only complaint is I would have to re-do my nails every four days or so. This is cheaper and my polish lasts longer so I will definitly be repurchasing!!

Lipstick -Vincent Longo - Lip Stain Foolish Virgin
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 3/15/2005 5:47:00 PM

This is a great lip stick. Very creamy with just the right amount of color. It doesn't really "stain" my lips, but still wears fairly well. Because I liked this one so much I ended up buying it in two other colors (Nolita & Cherry).

Moisturizers -Origins - Never Say Dry [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
Aseretmarie 3/11/2005 12:59:00 PM

The main thing I didn't like about this was the smell. It smelled kind of sour to me. As far as a moisturizer (I have very dry skin) I wasn't really impressed. It just sat on top of my skin. Since I have dry skin, I don't mind heavy (even greasy) moisturizers, but I want them to absorb fairly quickly. Between this and the smell I won't be repurchasing. I ended up giving this one away.

Lip Treatments -DDF - Glossy Lip Therapy w/ SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
Aseretmarie 1/5/2005 12:31:00 PM

Although this is a good lip moisturizer it's just to average to purchase again (for the price). I like that it has a sunscreen, but so does some .99 cent brands. Not sure what I was expecting, but this didn't live up to it...

Sunscreen -DDF - Moisturizing Photo-Age Protection SPF 30
rated 4 of 5
Aseretmarie 1/5/2005 12:28:00 PM

I love this sunscreen. I have dry skin and use this over a serum and eye cream. I could probably get away with using a moisturizer under it too, but don't have to. My make-up goes on smoothly over this and then I use a light powder. Since this is a moisturizing product it would probably be to heavy for oily or combo skin types.

Skincare - Face -DDF - EPF C3 Moisturizer with SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 1/5/2005 12:25:00 PM

I loved this product. I have very dry skin and my skin soaked this right up. Didn't feel greasy or heavy at all. It is a little expensive for me, but I would probably purchase it again anyway. It's hard to find a heavy duty moisturizer that soaks in instead of sitting on the top of your skin.

Loose Powders -Prescriptives - Traceless Skin Responsive Powder
rated 2 of 5
Aseretmarie 8/16/2004 2:16:00 PM

I was so NOT impressed with this product. First (my fault) I didn't realize it came in the packaging the way it did. I really wanted a loose powder in a jar to apply with a brush. I tried it with the sponge, and did not like the application. I just prefer to apply with a brush. So I took the powder and emptied it into my empty Laura Mecier translucent powder container. It only filled it up about 1/8 of the way!! Then I realized what a rip off this was. I guess maybe it would be worth it if you absolutely loved the application, because really the powder wasn't anything special. I think I'll stick with either Laura Mercier's powder or even the Prescriptives Magic Powder.

Conditioner -Graham Webb - Silk Protein Leave in Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 5/20/2004 7:32:00 PM

I love this leave-in. I have repurchased it many times. I comb it through my hair in the shower and my hair feels soft and silky. I have long naturally curly hair, so I need something to really hydrate and smooth. Great!

Skincare - Face -Jan Marini - Antioxidant daily face protectant SPF 30
rated 5 of 5
Aseretmarie 5/18/2004 1:02:00 PM

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever used. It goes on smooth, but not heavy and looks great alone or under makeup. My skin is dry and it feels moisturizing, but isn't greasy feeling. Worth the price!

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
rated 4 of 5
Aseretmarie 3/18/2003 7:12:00 PM

Nice tinted moisturizer. Very sheer coverage. Probably need to have fairly clear skin to begin with. Very natural looking. I have nude and it's a great natural looking color that's easy to blend. I got a makeover at Laura Mercier and they used this in the makeover. I was impressed enough that I bought it!
