Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Naturals Strawberries n Cream Body Cream
Anne 4/10/2003 8:10:00 AM
I'm not crazy about this product. It's a thick cream, as others have said, with small beads in it. The smell is ok - fake strawberry, but rather nice. I really don't like creams in pots since they seem to get stuck under my nails, but the product itself is ok. I like using it as a foot cream.
Polishes -H & M - Divided nailpolish in Sparkling Pink
Anne 4/9/2003 3:52:00 AM
This is SO pretty! Divided is one of H&M's own brands, and thus, it's extremely cheap. This cost me $2. The color is a beautiful light pink, but it's not too light or sheer - it's definitely noticeable. The color is a peachy sort of pink, not too cool. It has shimmer, and tiny tiny pink microglitter. One coat covers really well for me, which is very unusual. I'm impressed!
I'd pass on this. It comes in a Bloom Foot Kit, and while the idea is cute, this product does not do what it should. I expect a foot scrub to be hardworking - this is a weird gel-like texture that is extremely hard to work in, and with few scrubby particles. Those scrubbies that are there feels too sharp and painful. The scent - well, it's strange and not very pleasant.
Treatments -Tony & Tina - Vanish Nail Polish Remover
Anne 4/8/2003 5:43:00 AM
I hate this. Hate it! I used to think it was ok, but now that I'm on my second bottle, I can't stand it. I have to use SOOO much to even get the polish off my nails, and it's really a pain having to mix it up first. It does a really poor job, and leaves my nails all stripped. Eww! Steer clear of this - there are so many better products in the market.
I really like this line of blush! First of all, the color range is very wide and there's certainly something for everyone. I have tried two colors - Aura, which is a pinky color with some shimmer, and Melon which is a peachy nude. Both are among my favorites as they go on sheerly and evenly, and are easy to build to get stronger color. The packaging is very cute, as are most I Nuovi products, but I'm sorry to say that they are a bit hard to handle. I accidentally dropped one of them and it shattered everywhere. I did salvage it by putting all the pieces in a jar and use it as a loose powder blush, and that worked fine too.
I like this a lot better than the regular Happy! While not generally a fan of florals, this blend is so soft and fresh that I was immediately a fan. I really like it!
Cleansers -Totally Juicy - Raspberry Pore Cleanser
Anne 4/5/2003 3:02:00 AM
This is probably my favorite from this line. It's a very nice basic gel cleanser, with a nice sweet raspberry smell. It cleans very well, and it doesn't dry me out. It removes all makeup in one easy step. I like this a lot!
Scrubs -Totally Juicy - Hot Apple Sugar Body Scrub
Anne 4/5/2003 3:01:00 AM
I agree with those who calls this a fairly average product - in fact, that's how I feel about all the Totally Juicy stuff. It's nice, but nothing special. Then again, for that kind of money, what can you expect? This scrub is a fairly nice sugar scrub, and it heats up briefly as you rub it. The scent is wonderful. My tube broke near the top, which made product ooze out there - not impressive, and it made it a hassle to use. It does leave my skin soft, but since it doesn't contain oils, the feeling goes away fast.
Cleansers -Totally Juicy - Pineapple Creamy Cleanser
Anne 4/5/2003 2:59:00 AM
I'm undecided about this. At first, I adored it. The smell is fantastic - just like fresh pineapple - and the texture is nice and creamy. However, it just doesn't clean all that well, and it leaves my skin feeling stripped. I will continue to use this as a hand wash so I can enjoy the smell, but as a facial wash, I'll give it up.
I'm not very impressed with this scrub. It's very basic - sure, it scrubs well enough, but it doesn't really do anything for my skin. I'll probably end up using it as a hand scrub. It smells very nice, and it's generally good value for money.
Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Proteint Actif Pur eye contour gel
Anne 4/4/2003 4:15:00 PM
This is a nice general eyecream, but I can't say it does anything special for me. It has a really nice texture - sort of like a fluffy gel. It's also in convenient packaging, a squeeze tube. It feels very refreshing going on, and it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. However, I'm not sure it gives any "extra-special" results, if that's what you're looking for. In short, this is fine, but a tad boring. And I doubt I will repurchase it.
Lip Gloss -Bourjois - Effet 3-D Glossy Lipstick Rose Enigmatic 49
Anne 4/2/2003 1:54:00 PM
Ooooh!!! This is SO my favorite from the new spring collection! And not to mention, a must have for every faithful lemming. As always, the formula of these lipglosses is wonderfully luxurious, soft and with good coverage without ever being sticky. The color of this is like a corally infused strawberry with tons of golden shimmer. It's so pretty, I could just stare at it. *happy sigh*
Cleansers -Ole Henriksen - On The Go - Exhilarating Cleanser
Anne 4/2/2003 1:52:00 PM
Oooh... this is nice. I just got it, and have only been using it for a few times, but I think it will be a staple for the summer. It smells fantastic of juicy oranges, and it lathers up really, really well. It makes my skin clean, but I think I'll mostly be using this in the mornings as a refreshing cleanser rather than to take off all my makeup.
Treatments -Chanel - Solution Destressante Calming Emulsion [DISCONTINUED]
Anne 4/2/2003 1:50:00 PM
This is a nice, pampering product that I really enjoy using. It's a light liquid, and I use it instead of, or after a toner. It smells slightly of oatmeal. However, I'm not so sure it does anything for my skin, neither good or bad. Nice, but definitely something I could live without.
Blush -Bourjois - Little Round Pot blush in 95 Rose de Jaspe
Anne 3/17/2003 6:53:00 AM
This is one of my favorite blushes. Color is a dusty pink - not too bright - with gold shimmer. The shimmer isn't terribly noticable, which makes this work with a natural look as well as a more out-there one.
