Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Glimmer in Nude Beach

Too sparkly for this old woman! I am 44 and gave this to my teenage daughter. It looks way better on her than it did on me.
I was given Medium as a gift. I must say that I wouldn't have considered myself a Medium. My colors of choice have been called 'beige' most of my makeup career. After trying the BE Medium and reading on QVC's Website that most women can wear Medium, I have found my HG foundation. It is dewy and if applied too heavy (or in bad light) it can look shiny. If this happens, I simply apply a little Mineral Veil over the oily T zone and my problem is solved. I don't have a problem with the container or application method - I use a kabuki brush (from Jane) and it seems to pick up all the product in the lid, leaving none behind for me to spill. Plus, it's loose minerals, how else is it going to be decanted???? I also didn't have a problem with the price. It lasts forever. My gift was the medium sized jar and I used it every day for 8 months to use it up! Then I bought a large jar and have been using it for a month and it is still full.
Conditioner -Revlon - Porosity Control Shampoo and Conditioner

I use this conditioner on my bleached hair at the advice of my stylist. I just use a quarter size dollop (it is not really a dollop because it is rather runny) in my palm and rinse very well. My hair becomes very combable, with no tangles and I dont lose handfulls of hair when I comb it out wet! Excellent product.
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner- Turquoise

hate to rain on the love affair with this but...um, it's green. Not a nice subtile green or turquoise like the name implies, it's a bright sparkly green. I love how it goes on, effortless, liquid liners have come a long way. The color is not good at all, may buy this in another color.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Foam Wash

My daughters started out using the creme cleanser, they both swear by it so recently I bought the foaming face wash for a change. Last night I tried it for myself. It calmed some redness I had on my upper cheek area and made my face feel really clean! I think I will continue to use this in the evenings. Great product for teens, tweens and adults.
Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Aromatherapy Orange rating Sugar Scrub

I tried this in the store at their demo sink. I have used Mary Kay Satin Hands in the past but there are too many steps when you are trying like me to simplify your life! I LOVE this for soft hands. I put it on in the mornings before I put on my rings and my hands are soft ALL DAY, even after repeated washings. I know BBW has Manicure in a Jar but this far surpasses it! I can't wait to try it in the tub or on my feet. Great product, great scent.
I have to add my kudos too! I bought this in the Opi teenie gift set of pinks and this is the only one I have completely used up. It is gorgeous! I am forty something and this is one glitter polish that doesn't make me look like I am trying to be 20 years younger! It is very classy, infact. But it appeals to my teenage daughter too. This is one of those shades that makes me smile when I look at it on my hands!
I may be in the minority but I love this product. There is a lady in our office who's nails are always beautiful and she keeps one of these pencils in her desk. She doesn't wet it, she uses it AFTER she's washed her hands and returns to her desk. She says there's enough water retained under her nails to make a few quick swipes under her nails and va va voom, pretty manicured hands. So I lemmed for it and bought it. It's not equal to a salon french mani ladies.....a-hem, nothing costing $3 compares to that but this is a nice, clean look. My nails are shorter and I did get some on my finger at first but as they grow out, it is easier to use. I have no problem reapplying every night or during the day after too many hand washings, because nothing lasts forever.
I like the packaging. Simple, that's how I like to keep it....I always use my own brush and mirror, the lid doesn't bother me either, it snaps right back into place easily and comes off just fine. Blush is all I wanted and blush is all I got! I love the color, it reminds me of Clinique Rhubarb, a long time favorite d/c'd, but on a much more expensive scale.
My lips but better ~ Fig's a great color, I'd say the description earthy red is very accurate on my coloring, I have a hard time wearing bright or bluish reds. This one's just right! Cheep too, which is a great bonus. My local Walgreens is ALWAYS out of this color. Must mean lots of people like it!
Treatments -Sally Hansen - Hard As Nails Hard As Wraps - Tint

I have to disagree. But I am reviewing the "new" product with acrylic gel & the chrome top. It comes in a nice variety of colors, I just have it in tint and clear. Two coats forms a shield on my nails and makes them visibly thicker. I can wear this polish for way longer than I can a regular clear polish without chipping or peeling! This is worth a try, I got mine at Walgreens BOGO.
Treatments -Sally Hansen - Vitamin E Moisturizing Nail & Cuticle Oil
4tee1 8/7/2007 9:21:00 AM
This is wonderful for cuticles that are prone to having hangnails. I use this in the mornings before I really do much and the greasy-ness goes away in about 15 minutes. I generally keep my nails short and painted with a great nude shade of polish and this oil makes my hands look like I have had a professional manicure. I too have found the bottle to be leaky, so I am always careful to store it upright - lippies off for that.
Powder -Cover Girl - Tru Blend Powder foundation [DISCONTINUED]
4tee1 8/7/2007 9:15:00 AM
This foundation is my HG. It would be foolish of Cover Girl to d/c it. It's a great product. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth, and it is not that expensive - I just use it every day, even when I don't wear any other makeup because of the SPF. I use it over Cetaphil regular lotion in the pump bottle, which is greasy on it's own but paired with CG TBF, it's perfect for me. I have used every color they offer and it does blend with my skin tone after a few minutes, no matter what color I use. I am using creamy beige right now and it is perfect for my summer tanned face, not orange at all. I took a lippie off because the sponge that comes with it NEVER lasts through use of a whole container (it starts coming apart). Cover Girl doesn't make the half moon replacement sponges that fit in the compact.
For the price, this does just what Loreal Preference does! I can't tell a difference in the color it leaves on my hair, actually this color stinks LESS. I use the golden blond or medium blonde and have no complaints. It covers grays very well and leaves them looking like natural highlights.
I like simple shadows that just look complicated on my eyes. Hazelnut is my new favorite shadow for that. It gives my eyes a lot of definition with one simple stroke (or two). The lasting power is amazing - yes I always use an e/s base - but yesterday I mowed the yard and spent 3 hours in the hot OK sun trimming trees and when I came inside, my hazelnut e/s was still magically in place even though all the rest of my makeup had melted off! I have reached for this shade a lot this summer.
