This lotion is my savior for SUNBURN & any other skin irritation, inflammation, burn, or rash. The alpha lipoic acid is a very soothing anti-inflammatory & strong universal antioxidant (it protects both water-based & lipid-based cellular components). This lotion feels light but is very moisturizing - it soaks in quickly & leaves a slightly dewy moistness on the skin for a while. I love using this after a day in the sun. I get it from Vitamin Shoppe for $10-ish or online nutrition websites for less than that (approx $7). I make sure to have a bottle of this in my home at all times, & I always take it w/me on when I travel. I've suffered miserably on vacations w/a sunburn & no other products (including aloe vera gel & those so-called pain numbing lidocaine gels/sprays) have relieved the pain except for this lotion. Very soothing & comforting, at an excellent price. The ingredients list is fabulous. My one unhappiness is that the oil used in this lotion can go rancid fairly easily, so I discard the bottle if it begins to smell spoiled. This is my be-all-and-end-all lotion, it MUST be in my house at all times.
Fusion razor is made with men in mind but I love using this razor. I use the regular Fusion, not the Fusion Power. Five blades plus one extra on the backside (which I don't use but you never know) - what could be better than that! Smooooooooth shave. The permanent razor (handle) is reasonably priced, but the refill cartridges are super-duper-expensive. Happily each cartridge lasts a super-duper-long time, so I don't have to keep buying refills very often at all. I upgraded from Gillette Sensor Excel to Gillette Mach III to Gillette Fusion. Best razor to date!
This is a creamy neon red jelly that dries matte & brightens up w/shiny topcoat. However, it's not as red as I would like. When I wear it, in pictures & in person it always looks like some mix of coral, orange & hot pink. That's OK in itself but I really wanted a hot neon red.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! OMG unbelievable nail polish! I am so in love with this. Super-stunning very densely packed fine holographic glitter polish that sparkles like diamonds & looks elegant (as far as glitters go). One coat on bare nails (after basecoat) goes one medium, like a sheer-ish sparkly frost. Two coats make it amazingly opaque. Three coats add extra bling that makes it look cosmic 3D. This polish is phenomenal. Will definitely repurchase! Dries bland (a bit matte) but still sparkles, just more subdued. Shiny top coat brings it fully alive. I love glitter nail polishes & this one is absolutely #1 of them all.
Great neon pink! My signature color for summer pedicures. Color Club makes awesome bright pinks & fuchsia, opaque cream formulas that dry matte but POP with intense color underneath a brilliant topcoat. I bought several bottles of this color all at once, because I know I'll have a hard time finding it again (local beauty supply store). Only $4 each. This is my favorite pink color of the Color Club neons.
Great holographic color!! I don't have it but I'm looking for it...........
Love all the neon pinks, hot pinks & fuchsias by Color Club! My signature color. :)
Beautiful color. I collect all the hot pink & fuchsia colors from Color Club that I can find. This one's slightly purply, so it's less of a favorite for me than the other hot pinks. For $4 it's a really reasonable specialty color. I like the opaque cream formula.
Color Club makes great wild colors. When I saw this screaming fuchsia at my local beauty supply store for $4 I bought several. Fuchsia is my signature pedicure color in the summer & I like to collect various shades & finishes of this hot pink color. This one does scream. It's an intense cream that glows under a black light. UPDT 7/26/12 - I had to drop my rating down from 4 lippies b/c this color turns bright orange on me w/topcoat & stays orange even under a neutralizing blue-tinged topcoat, which annoys me terribly. When I want to wear fuchsia, I want fuchsia, not orange. I have other fuchsias that do this too, but Screamin' Fuchsia does it the most. At least I never have to buy orange nailpolish!
Styling Products -Aveda - Purefume Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade

I'm sorry but I hate it - can't stand the heavy herbal, woodsy scent of almost all Aveda products. One hair salon I go to specializes in Aveda products & every time I get my hair done there I have to wash my hair out when I get home, I can't take the smell. I bought Brilliant pomade more than 10 yrs ago & used it a little bit on my then-long hair until I got sick of the smell. I felt bad eventually throwing away a virtually full (expensive!) jar, as I barely used this & even the tiniest amount left my hair looking greasy & smelling really bad. I had bought it because I heard it would make hair shiny, and yeah, anti-humectant sounded good to me (was looking to tame frizzies). Sorry Aveda fans, I don't mean any offense to you. I just don't like it. (Their vitamin scalp serum is pretty nice however!)
It's true, this mascara gives no volume or length. What I do like it for, however, as the 1st famous tubing mascara on the market, it does not flake, smear, smudge, or sting the eyes. I can sleep in this & my face will still be clean in the morning & my lashes won't all be broken off. It removes EFFORTLESSLY w/just warm water, not even any soap needed at all. This is like a dream come true. But again, it does nothing to build my lashes. I tried piling it on in layers as instructed, but that came out entirely disgusting - gross spider eyes! What I used to do with this mascara is use it as a base coat & then apply whatever other ordinary mascara I wanted on top of it. That would make the regular mascara easier to wash off. So that's the best use I got out of this $23 mascara. For its use as a helper product, I give it 4 lippies. I bought it a couple of times before the newer products came out (L'Oreal Beauty Tubes). Now that more companies are making tubing mascaras (at lower cost, no less), I no longer have any real reason to buy Fiberwig. I have to thank the company for providing such an innovative mascara formula, however. It makes life so much easier.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Niagara Wrinkle Releaser fabric spray

This product was great when I used it. When I ran out & went to buy more I didn't find it anymore. So I found Solo brand & that works great too, plus smells even better. I could throw away my iron! (except I don't, lol) I don't remember the last time I had to use my iron. This is so simple & easy to use!
Delicious! My sister turned me on this very intensely rosy floral perfume over 10 years ago. I still have it but I don't wear it much, as it brings back memories of the time period when I first wore it all the time and I don't really want to be reminded of the past sometimes. But it's a great velvety rich romantic scent for evening, very heady. Do not spritz a lot of this! Just one spritz is plenty enough. The bottle is beautiful too (red roses sculpted cap). The rectangular bottle is cuter than the oblong oval, but I have them both. Will continue to keep this in my collection.
I love this perfume since I bought it at CVS for $17 in 2005. I have 1 oz spray in a darling hexagon-shaped glass bottle w/silver cap & spray nozzle. Smells soft, feminine, floral, delicate...dries down a tiny bit spicy, which I enjoy. Not overpowering or overbearing. Very lovely & innocent. I feel especially girly when I wear this. One of my favorites. Lasts a long time too...I don't have to spray this more than 2X a day. It doesn't much sillage, which I like. I hate perfume that lingers in a room after you've walked through it. What I love about this fragrance is that it's excellent for layering w/other scents. Or great on its own.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Microfiber cloths
felgoj 1/27/2010 12:27:00 PM
I do not live w/o tons of these microfiber cloths & towels in my home & in my life. They are amazing for absolutely EVERYTHING - kitchen, bath, beauty, travel, kids, pets, cleaning, crafts, automobile - you name it! I don't know how life would go on w/o them. And am happy their cost has lowered over the years. I remember when they were tremendously expensive about 10 yrs ago. Now I can find them everywhere for just a couple dollars & in convenient multi-paks. Thank God. My #1 favorite use for a microfiber towel is to really soak up all the excess water from my hair after a shower. Really speeds up hairdrying time. I don't use these cloths to scrub or wash my face but rather to dry them after cleansing & remove any leftover dead skin cells after exfoliating in the shower. For travel these towels & cloths are amazing b/c they are super-lightweight & thin, taking up so much less space in luggage than regular terry towels. Nothing polishes up my glass & electronic surfaces like a lint-free microfiber cloth (including glasses/sunglasses & gem jewelry) Wash these w/detergent & very hot water, then tumble dry. No fabric softener! No bleach! These will ruin the cloth's magic absorbent abilities. I keep these everywhere - home, work, cleaning cabinet, purse, luggage, & if I had a car I'd keep one there too!
