Lip Liners -MAC - Lip Liner-Stripdown
rated 5 of 5

This is my HG lipliner. It's a true brown based nude/fleshy color. Spice lipliner is too pinky/orangy for me, but not Stripdown. It's the perfect nude for my NC35-42 coloring, and I use it everyday! I pair it with MAC Siss lipstick and clear lipglass for a perfect nude pout. Or at night, I will usually go for a lipgloss with shimmer on top of this combo for a more shiny sexier lip. It's so versatile. I can't exist with out it!

Loose Powders -Sonia Kashuk - barely there loose powder in flesh
rated 5 of 5

This is a fabulous loose powder. I can't believe that it is sold at the local Target. It's better quality than most of the highend loose powders that I have tried and loved. This wonderful silky smooth powder sets my concealer very well and helps to control oil. I love how it makes my skin glow. The sheerness of Flesh was a perfect color match for my NC35-42 skin.

Styling Products -Matrix - Sleek.Look Lockdown Spray
rated 2 of 5

I hated it. It holds very well, but it totally dried out my hair! My curls felt like cotton candy and stiff. And when I flat ironed my hair straight, it felt like I had a hair piece on or something! I had to majorly condition my hair after using this hairspray. I would not recommend this at all, if you have dry brittle, overprocessed, color treated hair. This is the only product in the Sleek.Look line that I cannot stand! The rest of the items, especially the Extreme Creme is to die for! Perhaps using a little would have gone a long way, but I won't be using this hairspray ever again. It was also way too sticky!

Styling Products -Matrix - Matrix sleek.look Extreme smoothing cream

I have to say that this is a great product to coat your hair with before you flatiron it. My hair felt soft and moisturized. This hairdress was not oily. It's feels thin, but it goes on a little heavy. I got awesome results making my dry/damaged thick curly 3b/3c hair straight. It did nothing to define my curls when I wore my hair naturally, but worked good for straightening my hair and definitely killed the frizz and tamed fly aways. Matrix makes this product in a Lite Creme that may work better for fine hair. It's a little expensive, but I feel I got my money's worth. A little goes a long way. Update: I stop using this product because it was breaking me out.

Lip Gloss -Cargo - Lipgloss
rated 3 of 5

I love this gloss. The texture is thin, which I prefer thick, but it is glossy, so I love it. The color selection is great. Beware - the packaging is horrible. If you just lotioned your hands - you will never get this tiny tin can open. The lid stays on so tight, and it can get very fustrating when trying to open it. The gloss itself is a good product. Almost all the lipgloss colors in the collection go on super sheer. My favorite is the nude matte light peachy side of the Hong Kong duo. I love love love that color! It's perfect for the nude lip look! Oh- and don't leave it in your car in hot weather because if it tips over the two colors will melt into one another. This happened to me with a newly purchased one. What a mess and waste I had on my hand! I had to throw it away. :(

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint - All
rated 1 of 5
Tresha 7/7/2001 5:04:00 AM

The paints make a really good base and have great staying power! It does not crease. I have most of them, but my favorites are: Pixel - silver metal Bamboon - medium beige/brown gold flecks of shimmer. (I use it as base.) Graphito - matte dark charcoal gray Stilife - beige shimmer Canton Candy - light baby pink frost. They are awesome, super, wonderful, and fabulous wear. Try them! One more thing. I usually use my fingers to apply them, then I blend it with a triangle sponge. This works better than using a brush! A tiny dot will do. A little goes a long way. Worth the $$$.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Tinted Lipglass
rated 5 of 5
Tresha 7/7/2001 4:56:00 AM

This is a staple in my make-up bag. I stock up heavily on these, and I keep one in every bag I own and one in the car. I put it on over every lippy and mix it with every lipgloss I own. It's thick in texture, but it super glossy and stays on for a longtime! I am just talking about the clear. It is Definitely the best gloss on the market today. Not to mention, I own every color of lipglass, and I recommend them all very highly. My favorites are clear, C-Thru (sheer nude), and Explicit (brownish-gray shimmer). MAC Lipglasses are awesome!

Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Vanille Abricot
rated 5 of 5
Tresha 6/11/2001 4:29:00 PM

This is my signature scent. It smells so divine with it's perfect balance of sweet abricot and vanilla! I get so many compliments when I wear this scent. I'm stocked up with 6 bottles. If you are a shy person beware when you wear this because you will get a lot of attention from strangers! It's expensive, but it's worth every penny. Update 8/20/04: This is still the ultimate fragrance! My signature scent, indeed. I have been through too many bottle to count, and I always buy 3 at a time! I'm never without it! I love love love this stuff!

Concealers -Shu Uemura - Mark Cealer [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Tresha 6/11/2001 4:24:00 PM

This is the ultimate concealer. My only complaint is the selection of colors is limited. All you need is a tiny dab and your imperfection is covered. You only need a tiny bit, so it will last forever. Definitely worth the price of $19.00.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder
rated 4 of 5
Tresha 6/11/2001 4:20:00 PM

This is definitely the best powder I have ever used. It doesn't break me out, and it doesn't cake on my combination skin. It's finely milled and doesn't change colors half way through the day. UPDATE: After trying everything from drugstore to MAC to Chanel, this is still the best powder for my combination break out prone skin, and I always come back to this after straying. This doesn't dry out my skin. However, I did change to the Beige color because it's the perfect match for my NC35-42 skintone. It's the perfect yellow-based color. I only wish they made the Beige Loose Powder in a press powder form for touch ups. UPDATE: My 5 year love affair is over with this powder. It's great at setting foundation, but it just doesn't control oil enough for me like I need it too. I've discovered MAC's Invisible Pro Setting Powder to be a better powder for me. It does more for my skin, and it's become my new holygrail. I haven't reach for my LM powder in weeks.

Eyes -BeneFit Cosmetics - She Laq ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Tresha 6/11/2001 4:18:00 PM

This is the only thing that will keep my glitter from falling off my eyes. I use She-Laq to line my eyes with glitter. I think the trick to using this with your liner is not using too much, and letting the She-Laq dry a little bit before applying your liner. The bottle lasts forever. It comes with cute little brushes in a tie bag. First, I line my top lid with the She-Laq; then I pat the glitter over it. I don't use it for any other purpose than lining my eyes with glitter eyeshadow, and it works the best!
