Fragrances -Stila - CREME BOUQUET ROLL ON
cloroxcowgirl 3/27/2009 2:48:00 PM
I originally fell in love with Creme Bouquet when I bought the hair refresher. This scent is perfect for your hair. Oddly enough, the hair refresher has more of a vanilla scent, whereas the perfume has more of a baby powder emphasis, which I am not as crazy about. It could just be the roll-on. But I still love this fragrance. It is very sweet and feminine, but not over powering. Vanilla, powder, woodsy notes are what I get from this scent. It actually smells like marshmallows on me as it warms up. This is probably my favorite perfume ever, its a shame the Stila can't keep it in stock. And, unlike Jade Blossom (which I love also, don't get me wrong) it lasts for hours!

Eye Shadow -NYX - Apricot Moose
cloroxcowgirl 3/26/2009 6:54:00 PM
Just received this from Cherry Culture, my first NYX e/s! I agree with the other reviewers that Apricot Moose (love the name!) is a very subtle peach frost, I thought the color would show up a bit more. But it is still very pretty and serves the purpose of a daytime wash of color or a highlight for deeper peach or orange e/s. I will report back on how well it wears, but so far am impressed by the quality of the product and the packaging for the price. Will purchase more colors!

Fragrances -Demeter - Laundromat Pick Me Up Spray
cloroxcowgirl 3/26/2009 4:54:00 PM
I received this fragrance in a swap, excited to try it. I love laundry inspired scents and also usually like Demeter fragrances. And I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, this scent smells NOTHING like a laundromat. From any era. To me what it smells like is a cross between hairspray and sunscreen (I know I am not the only one here to make this comparison). It has a strong alcohol scent also, enough to give me a headache. Regrettably, I think I'm going to have to swap this one away. Lesson learned: try before you swap!

Lip Treatments -Tarte - Frxtion
cloroxcowgirl 3/25/2009 7:31:00 PM
I bought this product about a month ago and already it is well on its way to being used up :( and I use it about once a day. Frxtion works great for exfoliating and moisturizing lips, it does exactly what it claims to do. The lip balm and brown sugar scrub are both high quality and smell and taste wonderful (think of a decadent caramel sundae with vanilla ice cream - yum!). Between this and the fact that my lips have never felt so smooth and soft, I would definitely repurchase this product, esp. in the winter time. It gets rid of flaky, dry lips. I just wish it lasted longer!

Fragrances -Demeter - Sex on the Beach
cloroxcowgirl 3/23/2009 7:16:00 PM
I bought a bottle of this scent several years ago after smelling it in a Sephora catalog. It has a sharply sweet, fruity and candy heart kind of smell that is simple and girly. A good fragrance for teens, if you can get past the name. But it was a little overly sweet for my taste. I've never had a Sex on the Beach cocktail but this didn't have any alcohol scent at all. Unfortunately the cap falls off the bottle easily and the perfume drained out of the bottle and dried up before it was even half empty. I hope Demeter has improved their packaging since then.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Harlow
cloroxcowgirl 3/19/2009 11:11:00 PM
I received this gloss in a swap, and have been on the fence about it for awhile. I really like the formula (this is my first NARS gloss), it is long wearing and not too sticky. The color is definitely unusual - a frosty silver-mauve is how I would describe it. It's highly pigmented, so I only wear a little bit for a subtle silvery shine. The color works well on my fair skin, but I have been known to wear frosty blue lipstick on occasion, so if you like color that makes you look healthy and flushed, look elsewhere. I don't think I'll repurchase this color, but I will probably use it up and then buy NARS lip gloss in a different shade.

Fragrances -Tocca - Cleopatra EDP
cloroxcowgirl 3/9/2009 8:16:00 PM
I received a sample of this w/ my Sephora order. It started out as sort of fruity, but quickly dried down to an unpleasant, stale, fake floral fragrance. I did not get any vanilla, grapefruit or cucumber from this scent, which are supposed to be the top notes. There is pachouli on the dry down but it is very stale smelling. Can't recommend this one.

Conditioner -Burt's Bees - More Moisture Raspberry and Brazil Nut Conditioner
cloroxcowgirl 3/9/2009 1:51:00 PM
I'm amazed to see all the negative reviews for this product, I absolutely love this conditioner (and the shampoo). I have very, thick long hair that needs a lot of moisture and these products work wonderfully for me. And the smell is heavenly - raspberry! This is one of my favorite shampoo/conditioner combos ever.

Shampoo -Aveda - Rosemary Mint Shampoo
cloroxcowgirl 3/9/2009 1:40:00 PM
This shampoo is so drying, and leaves my hair tangled and unmanageble. I usually love Aveda products but this one is not worth the money. The only positive is that it smells good.

Fragrance -Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male
cloroxcowgirl 3/6/2009 2:23:00 PM
I recieved a sample of this with my last Sephora order, and my bf used it up quickly. It is a beautiful scent, masculine yet delicate also. In spite of the ridiculous name, I would purchase this product again.

Fragrance -Christian Dior - Fahrenheit
cloroxcowgirl 3/6/2009 2:21:00 PM
I have to agree with the majority of the reviewers here - Fahrenheit is hot! I bought the deoderant for my bf, who is very picky about cologne, and he loves it! I can stop smelling his arm pits, lol. Also the deoderant doesn't irritate his sensitive skin, which he has always had an issue with. It's sweet and spicy and masculine, yet not too over the top masculine like some men's cologne. I just order a second one for him, and hope to get a bottle of the fragrance soon also!

Lipstick -MAC - Lust
cloroxcowgirl 3/5/2009 8:45:00 PM
I had this lipstick for awhile, bought it for a wedding I was in and used a plum purple liner under it to match the color to my lavender dress. Lust is a frosty bluish lavender color which goes on somewhat sheer. I don't believe that MAC carries it anymore, which is a shame. I loved owning and using this lippie, but found after awhile that I rarely had an occasion to wear such an unusual color, so I swapped it away. But I will always fondly the few times I wore it.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Glaze Stick in Peach
cloroxcowgirl 3/5/2009 6:16:00 PM
I think this is my favorite lip glaze stick yet, and I own about 8. The colored is subtly coral on my lips and looks great with my fair skin, and it smells divine! The color stays on a long time for a gloss (one reason I favor this product over other h/e glosses). I will definitely repurchase this.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - New Car Smell
cloroxcowgirl 2/24/2009 2:41:00 AM
Another great blush from EM. I was looking for a peachy spring blush with a slight sheen and New Car Smell is perfect. It is lighter than Summer Stroll (which has a coral undertone, while this is a true peach) and has more shimmer, but not OTT shimmer. For reference, I am very fair, cool toned and this blush works perfectly with my complexion. This is one of two blushes from EM (the other being Snooze Bar) that I have fallen in love with, I will repurchase as long as they carry these!

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Butterfly Kisses
cloroxcowgirl 2/24/2009 2:36:00 AM
This sparkling yellow e/s is part of the spring 2009 collection from EM. Yellow eyeshadow is tricky and I wanted one that was fairly pigmented but wouldn't make me look jaundiced - Butterfly Kisses is just that. It is pretty sparkly, but not the most shimmery shadow I've tried from EM. The color is a gorgeous daffodil yellow (a cooler yellow, if that makes sense). It does crease slightly after long wear, but not too badly. May repurchase.
