Pros: - Very blendable - Very light - Does not cake Cons: - Colour match tends to be off all the time (does not matter which colour you choose) - Fades very quick - 1 Tub usually does not last that long at all, but it is inexpensive soo thats ok. - Not good for oily skin or if you sweat a lot Overall: I found this product ok, I would not repurchase, only because I dont want to walk around looking either like a geisha or I've been over baked. this is a product that runs out very quickly (I'm talking like every 2 wks), but it is very cheap as well. It does not last long at all, usually about 2 hrs or soo. Application is very smooth and it does not cake.
I got this product for free when i purchased an almay foundation, thank god! Pros: - It curls - It lengthens - It thickens Cons: - It smudges (Not just a little, I mean you'll get the full panda eye) - It clumps - The brush is a bit wierd and you definitely cant use the brush to apply mascara on your lower lashes, it is just too difficult. Overall: I did not like, but in saying that it did do what it claims, Lengthen, add volume and curls. It is actually one mascara that I thought kept my lashes curled the longest all day even. I did not like the fact that it clumps and smudges, that is a big no no for me, I'm busy throughout my day and I do not want to have to be concern if my mascara is smudging, it is one thing I do not want to worry or even care about in my busy hectic day.
Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Rimmel vinyl lip Haute Brilliance
kathrynb23 5/30/2010 11:34:00 PM
I liked this lip gloss a lot. The colour is not over powering, it lasted quiet long, and there is not too much shimmer. It actually leaves my lips feeling very soft even after it fades. This product not pricey at all which is good. Would I buy it again? Yes
I brought this I while ago, I had to forced myself to use it all up. I didnt like it one bit. It never lasted long, you always have to layer soo much of it on to get that real glossy looking lips. I got this is a pink, I'm not too sure what the name is. I only brought this product because I thought it was on sale, I though bourjois products arent bad, I'll give it a try. Turns out I was soo wrong. It was quiet expensive for Bourjois products. Would I buy it again? No
Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder
kathrynb23 5/27/2010 3:38:00 AM
I got this product by mistake, one that I truely love! Anyways I used it twice and I have to admit it is one of the best powder I've used. It blended quiet well, it doesnt look cakey or dry on my face. It in fact makes my face look very fresh and smooth. I adore this product and I've even thought what am I going to do when I run out of it, since it is difficult to get smashbox products here in Australia. The outer casing of this product is the same as all smashbox products and I hate it, once you get powder on the outer casing thats it you cant clean it off. When you open up the the product on the inside it is the same as all loose powder it has a sifter, but the thing that intrigue me about this is that unlike any other loose powder I dont need shake to the tube to get some powder, I dont need it turn it upside and get it every in the tube. All I need to di is turn the sifter clockwise and the it grates the powder for me to use. Overall price I never paid for this item, all though I would have gladly done soo. I dont think this is a cheap product but saying that I love it soo much I would pay full price for it. Or maybe I love the packaging (OMG I cant get over the packaging). Would I buy it again? Yes
I love this product! It is one of the best primer I have ever used. When I first used it I thought I would hate it and these are the reason: - When I dispense one pump of the product on my had, it came out like a thick oily fluid and when I applied it on it was like dried (well it felt dried) - It smelt of a strong caramel which I hate (I like old school make up smell) - It seems abit thick on the face All that combine I thought it was a bad product I thought it was going to make my skin break out soo badly. To my suprise it was one of the best primer I ever used! Makeup stayed on soo well, my blush and foundation stayed on all day no need for touch up. How great was that? I love the packagin for this product, it was soo easy to use, it came in a pump bottle. Living in Australia finding smashbox products is very hard and the prices are ridiculous, but in general, I though it was value for money! Would I buy it again? Definitely
I got this recently thinking its the ultimate highlighter/bronzer/blush all in one. I got to say I'm not impress at all. Its got a light glow to it but that is about it. I generally hate the packaging for smashbox eye shadow, bronzer and blusher. It always has this rubber casing around the outside which I hate soo much it attracts soo much crap to it. I got this product on sale soo I was not too upset that I didnt like it, I've only used it 2-3 time soo maybe I have realize how to use it properly yet, but I sure will give it a few more tries. Would I buy it again? No.
I purchase this on sale, I thought I will give it a try, and also not only was it half price it came with a free eye definer pencil. Any ways I'm not impressed by it. When I first opened it I already thought I wont like it. It didnt lengthen, nor did it thicken or even curled my lashes. It just basically highlighted what I already have which is short stumpy lashes. The only thing it did not do which I liked was smudge. The bristle on the brushes were too short it meant I had to hold the brush closer to my eyes. The bristle at the tip of the brush collect a massive chunk of mascara each time I pull it out of the tube. The packaging was nice I really like it. Price wise it was very expensive, I got it for half price thank god and I also got a free gift as well. Would I buy it again? No, I got enough in one tube to last a life time.
Eye Primer -Red Earth Cosmetics - Eye Make Up Base
kathrynb23 5/24/2010 12:43:00 AM
I got the 'Eye Perfection Primer' I brought it on accident thinking it was a concealer, I didnt realize till I got home that I grab the wrong product. I love this eye primer alot, it held the eye makeup together quiet well, it brightens up my eyes a lot. It has such a smooth formula, which make applying it a lot easy. It is a cream to powder finish. I love the way its package, as I alway do with Red Earth products. I thought this product was very inexpensive compared to a lot of other eye primer that does exactly the same thig. Will I buy it again? Definitely!
Primer/ Corrector -Red Earth Cosmetics - Red Earth Moisturizing make up base
kathrynb23 5/24/2010 12:35:00 AM
I got this product for free, it was very clumpy when I squeezed it out of the tube. I had to use my finger to mix the clumps on my hand to get it to be smooth. It applied just like a moisturizer, it was very light on my skin soo I really liked that. It held the foundation on a lot better then I gave it credit for. I actually quiet like it. The only down side was it was very clumpy straight out of the tube. The packaging for this product was very plain, but for some reason like it. I never paid for this item soo I dont know the price of it, but if I was going to pay for this product, I will pay no more then $15 for it. Would I purchase it again? No, because of the clumps, the product was good, it was just very clumpy straight out of the tube and I dont know why. There are other primers out there that works just as well minus the clumps.
I love Red Earth cosmetics, everytime when there is a Red Earth sale, I usually purchase about 6-8 Red Earth glosses at a time. I find their glosses are very versatile, they last quiet long compared to brands like lancome glosses which only last about 2 hrs. The Red Earth glosses are very standard the way they packaged it, but that is ok with me. When these are not on sale, they are a bit pricey, I always wait for the sale to get them. Would i purchase these again? Always.
I generally love Red Earth cosmetics, I purchased 2 illusion lights e/s from Red Earth in Black Panther and Burnt Caramel. I have nothing but rave the the Burnt Caramel it was just a very beautiful shade of brown, and it really complimented eyes. Black Panther was completely opposite, it was more glittery than I first thought when I try it on in store, I just felt like it had more glitter than colour. I love the way Red Earth package their products, it just soo cute and I love how their packaging is very shiny. I think Red Earth is quiet expensive, I purchased these e/s on sale buy and get a free red earth eyebrow pencil, therefore I felt like I got my money worth. However if these were full price, I'll definitely reconsider. Would I buy it again? Yes I think Red Earth makes really beautiful shades of Brown
Crème -Revlon - New Complexion One-Step Compact Makeup
kathrynb23 5/23/2010 11:57:00 PM
I was not keen to try this product at all. I saw it on sale and it was dirt cheap soo i thought I'll give ie a try. I absolutely love it! The formula was just soo smooth to apply, it gave a very natural coverage. It held up very well during the day. For such a great product, I really hated the packaging! It was just a big brown/gold/green (the ugliest colour I have ever seen, that cant even describe properly) compact disc. I got this product on sale, it was very cheap, even though I thought the product was fantastic, the usually rrp price really does not justify it! I would never buy it if its not on sale. I just think Revlon in general is quiet expensive for a drugstore brand. Would I buy it again? Only if I see it on sale.
I brought this product recently just out of impulse. I was not impress at all. The formula seems abit oily, and I feel like it never sets on your face, everytime I touch my face I can feel it just as I applied it on in the morning, oil and wet. The packaging of the product makes it look like a childs toy I really did not like it. The only thing I liked about it was that it was was just a light to medium coverage. I have read other reviews saying the colour match was bad, but for me it was very natural and I liked that. I think in future when I use this I will need some sort of powder to help it set, because it just wont set on its own. Will I buy it again? I generally love benefit cosmetics, but I wont be repurchasing this one.
I love this concealer. I got this in a shade 2, it works extremely well under or over my foundation. It blends in quiet well and has very good coverage. It last about 4 hours or soo before you may need to fix some more on. It is very inexpensive. My other favourite one is the MaxFactor eraser stick, but comparing prices together, I think this one is more worth while purchasing than the other one. Would I buy it again? Definitely!
