MenthaShine does taste great! Though, I do agree with the previous reviewer. The product itself isn't so great. I purchased it a couple years ago and put it aside because it was so expensive ($7.50) I didn't want to throw it away. It's like grease on your lips; if you have long hair and the wind blows, guess where it sticks? I finally tossed it and the other one (sweet almond oil type). They were both petroleum based and I've found more natural lip balms to be better at moisturizing.

It sheds like crazy! I used it for about 2 months, then it fell apart while washing. My clothes looked like I was covered in white cat hair after putting my make-up on. I don't think they sell it anymore.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Birdhouse

I have green eyes. Birdhouse evens out my lid color, adds no sparkle, and looks completely natural. It's like wearing no make-up at all.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

It's not just for your skin! Jojoba oil takes off water-proof mascara with ease and it's lighter and less greasy than than most other oils. You can also rub a tiny amount into your palms, then rub onto the ends of your hair after it's dried. They'll be soft and shiny.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Shalimar

Shalimar is my favorite perfume of all. I've been wearing it since I was 18. I've tried and loved many different fragrances since then but I always have a bottle of Shalimar on my dresser.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Pro Skincare Brush

I've been using the Clarisonic for about a year now and I'm very satisfied with it. I also like the fact that you can use it in the shower. I wasn't sure about it during the 30-day trial period, but I kept it because I DID see an improvement in the texture and quality of my skin and it only got better over time. Fine lines in my forehead area lessened and hormonal blemishes were halted within a few days. It has certainly worked better than any of the products that I've tried applying to my skin trying to get the same results. It is expensive but well worth it for the results. Update 1/30/10 - Four years later (purchased Jan '06) and I'm still using this and I'm still loving it. My skin looks fantastic.

Styling Products -Dove - Advanced Color Care leave-in luminizing mist

I got the luminizer as a freebie when I bought Dove Advanced Color Care shampoo. Overall the sparkles in the bottle are what attracted me to the product. When I saw the two-pack with the luminizer included for the same price, I decided to try them both. My hair is in pretty good condition but this product is disappointing. It left my hair with a weird stiffiness in texture. The spray doesn't come out of the bottle in a fine mist either, it just kind of squirts out so you won't get an even coverage. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed and I won't buy it again. If you want a good detangler that leaves a nice texture and shine, try Thermasilk spray.

Moisturizers -Olay - Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming Moisturizer

Foam moisturizer seemed like such a good idea and the packaging was oh-so pretty! I really wanted this to be a great product, especially after shelling out so much cash for a drugstore brand. It does melt into your skin. But it left my skin so sticky my mineral makeup didn't glide on anymore, and my brushes needed washing twice as often.
