Skincare - Face -Estee Lauder - Take It Away total make up remover

you will waste your money with this product.I work as a make up artist so I know when the make up is removed. And I can ensure you that if you can't see it on your face dosn't mean at all that you have take all the make up off.And this product does nothing it is too light to remove all the make up.Exept from a loose powder and a lip gloss this product can't take away anything else.Try take the day off from clinique the best make up remover in the market

Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Matte Oil-Control Pressed Powder
rated 5 of 5
chanel277 8/18/2007 11:18:00 AM

I don't believe that there is a powder or a skin care product that controls oil production completely .This powder is no exception. But at least is one of the best oil controlling powders in the market.I mean that keeps my face matte for much longer hour than with all the other powders.Equally good is the stay matte and the clarifying powder from Clinique. This one now has one only disadvantage has quite thick texture and also adds some coverage.Personally I don't like that.I want my powder that I carry in my bag for touch ups, during the day,to be completely transparent and translucent, to have the lightest possible texture and not to add any kind of coverage or texture to my make up.This is only the reason that I wouldn't buy this powder again

Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder Makeup
rated 4 of 5
chanel277 8/18/2007 10:55:00 AM

Nice product!Comes in a dark blue round compact along with a sponge. It's a water resistant product with good staying power. Offers great coverage almost opaque and matte finish.Doesn't control oil production well enough and I m not so pleased with the shades too.I use this either with a powder brush over liquid foundation either with a kabuki brush as a foundation. When I try to use it's sponge turns out total disaster so I always use a brush to apply this powder. Generally I m pleased with this product because offers great coverage, has some staying power and didn't cause me any kind of skin problems. But I m not that sure if I repurchase because it's quite expensive and it doesn't fit perfect on me,it's like too heavy for me.Although Estee L auder claims that this is an oil free and oil absorbing powder I find that this is quite moisturizing formula so if you have very oily skin have in mind.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
rated 4 of 5
chanel277 8/18/2007 10:41:00 AM

I love this product,It's one of my all time favorite products but I like the concetrate version much better. The reason I took one lippie off is because of the texture on me feels slightly sticky.Other than that everything is great about this product I like the packaging,I like the ingredients,I like the moisturizing power of this serum,I like a lot the fact that my skin loves this product it looks much better more radiant.more fresh and more rested. In terms of wrinkle corection haven't notice a thing. To tell the truth I have bought this serum many times and I m very happy with that I don't regret but I believe that I m not going to buy it again and the two main reasons are 1) the price here where I live this product costs almoste 100 euro 2) the main job that this products does is to moisturize and to load skin with antioxidants and I have found other products that can do this job equally well and with less money and one of them is from Bobbi Brown the Intensive Skin Supplement and many others but for now this is the one that comes in my mind INGREDIENTS:Water, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Methyl Gluceth-20, Peg-75, Butylene Glycol, Bis-peg-18 Methyl Esther Dimethyl Silane, Glycereth-26, Cola Acuminata (Kola) Extract, Squalane, Sodium Rna, Sodium Hyaluronate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bisabolol, Pantethine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Oleth-3 Phosphate, Oleth-3, Oleth-5, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile), Caffeine, Choleth-24, Ceteth-24, Xanthan Gum, Tea-carbomer, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Bht, Trisodium Edta, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Yellow 5, Green 5, Red 4

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Ideal Matte
rated 3 of 5
chanel277 8/18/2007 10:30:00 AM

I'm not that impressed with this foundation, for the price tag I think they're many greater choices out there. Even maybellines dream matte mouse I think works if not better at least equally good with this one. The packaging is good, the coverage is sheer to medium and not that build able the texture is great almost like a mouse, has natural matte finish not powdery at all and just good staying power and didn't cause me any kind of problems. This is a classic cream to powder foundation and to be honest never a foundation with cream to powder formula has worked excellent for me.Major con for me is the fact that those types of foundations are neither moisturizing enough but neither "dry" enough so to work best for oily skin and for my experience as a make up artist combination or normal skin(which is the main target group of this foundation) looks its best with a more water based moisturizing luminous foundation .It's an ok product I don't have much thinks to say I totally can live with out it. I think will be good on slightly oily or combination skins too oily or to dry skins don't even bather. If I had to pick one only cream to powder foundation I would go with Chanel's or dior's icone.Chanel's double perfection cream to powder foundation works much better on oily skin and Dior's icone works better on slightly(very very slightly) drier skins

This is a very good foundation.Works fabulous on me.Nice shades, nice packaging.Has natural matte finish, medium coverage. This makes my skin perfect matte but not dry powdery matte but luminous and fresh.Covers all my skin problems completely without feeling or looking heavy actually looks very natural. The scent is a bit funky but I can live with that.I believe that this foundation works best for combination to normal skins.People with extremely oily or very dry skin wont enjoy this foundation at all

Toners -Christian Dior - Tonique Magique Matifying Toner
rated 2 of 5
chanel277 8/18/2007 9:30:00 AM

Nothing special at all.Has quite strong scent, contains alcohol and camphor, both are skin irritants, the ingredients are very mediocre for an almost $30 toner. The only good I can say about this toner is that is quite gentle and doesn't dries out my skin..Doesn't control oil production at all and according to the ingredients list there is nothing to this toner that can help oily skin to look it's best. The packaging on the other hand is very good with a pump.My personal opinion is that if you like to use a toner from a designer brand you'd be better off shopping Chanel. The entire Chanel's skin care line is much better not only from Dior but from all the designer brands. This is just a mediocre product for someone with combination or normal skin.I don't believe that this can treat acne, large pores or all the other problems that the oily skins may have INGREDIENTS:aqua(water),alcohol,glycerin,peg/ppg,dimethicone,peg-60,hydrogenated castor oil, sodium citrate, dipotassium glysyrrhizate, parfum, phenoxythanol, zinc gluconate, citric acid, camelia sinensis leaf extract, camphor, methylparaben, propilene glycol, menthol, butylparaben, ethylparaben, potassium ascorbyl tocophenyl phosphate, butylphenyl, methylpropional, citronellol, propilparaben, isobutylparaben, limonene, bht

Foundations -Clinique - Continous Coverage
rated 4 of 5
chanel277 8/17/2007 3:58:00 PM

This is very similar with Estee Lauder's maximum cover. The only difference is that this one is much more emollient and the formula is more moisturizing so this is better for dryer skins. The texture is very thick and creamy but blends easily and personally I like to use the 187 brush by MAC or a wet sponge with this. The coverage is full and yes this foundation doesn't look natural so if you have problem with this( I don't) then this foundation isn't for you,but still you can use it as a concealer only topically(if you think that this is too much for you).Didn't break me out.The staying power is excellent. The finish is natural. If you have oily skin stay away from this foundation is very thick and quite greasy formula .My main problem with this foundation is the shades, very limited selection and this foundation is so thick and the coverage so opaque that if you don't choose the write color then for sure your gonna look like you have a mask on

Crème -Estee Lauder - Maximum Cover
rated 5 of 5
chanel277 8/17/2007 3:19:00 PM

For me one of the best foundations in the market!Nice neutral shades, the texture is creamy but has slightly powdery finish, blends easily and for me works perfect with a foundation brush not with a sponge. The coverage is unbelievable but looks natural(as natural can look a maximum cover foundation)and the staying power is super good(it's a water resistant foundation)The packaging is perfect. And also a tiny amount goes a long way so a tube of this foundation lasts more than forever.Doesn't set into lines and pores and even in the most unfriendly environments my complexion stays super fresh, matte, flawless and perfect.Offers a completely matte almost powdery finish so it's not that important to set it with powder. Also it's oil free and has spf10,I believe that the maximum cover works best on oily skins,as a make up artist I have tried it on drier skins and the result wasn't perfect.I believe this foundation it's a must have even if you thing that the coverage that offers is too much for you you can always use it as a concealer. One of the best foundations in the market!!!! If you have slightly dry,or dry,or very dry skin don't even think to try this one it will be a disaster, others with oily skin go for it it's perfect INGREDIENTS:Isododecane, Isohexadecane, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Petrolatum, Glyceryl Stearate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer, Microcrystalline Wax, Kaolin, Cholesterol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sandalwood Extract, tocopheryl Acetate, Linoleic Acid, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate, Bisabolol, Silica, Propylene Carbonate, Methyldihydrojasmonate, Polyethylene, Dimethyl Octenol, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Bht, Ci 77019/Mica, Ci 77891/Titanium Dioxide, Ci 77491/Ci 77492/Ci 77499/Iron Oxides, Ci 77163/Bismuth Oxychloride, Ci 77289/Chromium Hydroxide Green, Ci 77288/Chromium Oxide Greens

Liquid -Christian Dior - Ultra Mat
rated 3 of 5
chanel277 8/17/2007 3:08:00 PM

This product is everything but ultra mat. All the shades are perfect(for my nc 30 complexion the shade 300 is a good much),has an odd, thin, watery texture that doesn't blend very easily because It drys very fast.Anyway even If you manage to apply it evenly wont stay matte long.Has very nice healthy non powdery finish that wont last long at least on me doesn't last long, after a while I look shiny and oily. The coverage is sheer-medium.Looks natural not heavy has average staying power, and funky scent. And I break out when I m using this product daily because of the silicons.I don't like this foundation this much mostly because of the low coverage. This is a mediocre option for combination-normal skins INGREDIENTS:Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Isododecane, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Talc, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Stearic Acid, Cellulose, Alumina, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Silica, Propylene Carbonate, Tetrasodium Edta, Aluminium Hydroxide, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, Limonene, Geraniol, Ci 77019/Mica, Ci 77891/Titanium Dioxide, Ci 77492/Ci 77491/Ci 77499/Iron Oxides

Liquid -Clinique - Repairwear foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
chanel277 8/17/2007 2:49:00 PM

This is a very good foundation!!!! My skin is on the drier site and this works good on me.It s oily free, very rare thing for a moisturizing and anti-aging foundation. The coverage is full and looks quite natural with no mask effect as others have said. The texture is super rich and slightly thick but blends quite easily. The formula is hydrating without being too oily. The texture is quite thick but also creamy enough allowing easy application.Has natural/semmi matte finish, doesn't control oil production at all,but that's ok because it's not its job..The staying power is good, not perfect, but still good.My face looks flawless and healthy not too powdery not too oily.Doesn't set into lines at all, huge plus for me.Finally people stop writing wrong reviews if you don't know witch color to buy and what this product does(to believe that a moisturizing,anti-aging foundation will keep your oily skin matte all day it's completely illogical and wrong).this is not product's problem it is yours. For sure this is clinique's best foundation and the foundation with the higher coverage that clinique ever made. This is a very good foundation for someone that likes thick foundations with high coverage and with combination to dry skin.If you like thin and light coverage foundations that looks completely natural,or if you have very oily skin then this is not for you.My only complain not only for this foundation but for all clinique foundations is the color selection.I ve never had problems with color matching in other brands, but when it comes to clinique all the foundations give me a slightly ashy and quite pale color finish, this is because most shades don't have strong yellow undertones. The reason I took one lippie off is because this foundations is made for mature skin with wrinkles, well the formulation is quite heavy and the coverage too high and I don't know if a heavily wrinkled skin will appreciate this.If you have many wrinkles and lines on your skin you may wanna choose something much lighter like Chanel's vita lumiere for exc INGREDIENTS:Dimethicone, Water, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Lauryl Peg-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Silica, Lauric Acid, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Yeast Extract (Faex), Astrocaryum Murumuru Butter, Hordeum Vulgare (Barley) Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Phenyl Trimethicone, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Betula Alba (Birch) Bark Extract, Artemia Extract, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, Ascorbyl Tocopheryl Maleate, Potassium Sulfate, Glycerin, Mimosa Tenuiflora Bark Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid, Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate, Caffeine, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Sodium Rna, Linoleic Acid, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Cholesterol, Squalane, Linolenic Acid, Phospholipidis, Zinc Stearate, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile), Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyethylene, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Sorbitan Olivate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Sucrose, Caprylyl Glycol, Maltodextrin, Sodium Chloride, Lecithin, Alumina, Laureth-7, Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Betaine, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxides
